I saw the video of the emu, the poor thing was running around in a busy intersection.
Though we also had cows on the loose. They just snacked on some lawns and hung out in the shade.
The camel was hit by a vehicle and killed 🙁 along with a bull. There was also a zeedonk but that one was rescued.
@@grmpEqweer Once we had bull loose in Albuquerque on one of our major roads, Central aka old route 66. It was running in to cars.
An alligator that had been protected by a park for 11 years was slaughtered illegally and the cops can't do shit about it...

Meanwhile, on my personal home front, the kids in my life are voraciously looking for nationwide news stories just to see if they can keep up with Ben Brainard. And I am here for every bit of it. You have to appreciate highlighting the suicide hotline, not a joke on it and towards the end for people to take notice. Lots of respect there

Here is a recent dark fact that is not a joke. Alabama rose the price of the suicide hotline from $.50 a minute to $2.00 a minute. Mississippi made the suicide hotline a collect call only. In Kentucky only Verizon phone company allows you to call the suicide hotline and all other phone providers come up busy. Louisiana made it illegal for women to call the suicide hotline for any reason. Texas pass a law for if a fetus dies before it come to term to be an actual baby, it is now considered a suicide and the woman gets charged in assisted suicide. In Florida if you are a person of color that calls the suicide hotline between 10:00 pm to 4:30 am it is now considered a felony. It cost $45 a call in Utah for the suicide hotline. In Georgia the suicide hotlines don’t work on the weekend or holidays.
Pennsylvania are now paying people $25.00 an hour to $43.00 an hour to work for the suicide hotline.
Maine has been name the number state with the least amount of Suicides for the year 2022 so far.

:D You missed the Florida story where an Alabama man's hauler caught fire and he abandoned ship but also freed the cattle so they wouldn't burn to death. It was 70 head of cattle and they caused a 30 mile back up on the turnpike that lasted hours :D
Few years ago a hauler got clipped by amtrak and 200 pigs learned how to fly in Illinois.

@@markgigiel2722 Not necessarily; cattle is a pretty general term so they could be young or dairy cows or something. Still, releasing them means they don't have to suffer one of the worst possible deaths.

I heard about the whiskey made out of crabs on NPR they tried some on air. They said it doesn’t taste like crab but it is a kin to fireball. I believe it’s made from the invasive species called green crabs found on the East Coast.
Is there anything they can't make whiskey out of?

Nah, we just started a new program, for every 10 yanks that move here we send their home state a gator. We're hoping it persuade them to stop moving here, you know fearing for the safety of friends and family and what not.

988 will call law enforcement who can show up at your house and have you locked up in a hospital against your will. Involuntary hospitalization doesn't prevent suicide. They are a traumatizing human rights abuse. Tell 988 to pledge not to call the police!

@@markgigiel2722 I’m well past ibuprofen. I might as well take M&Ms for all the good it does. I take Lyrica and Celebrex but the help is minimal.
Weed isn’t an option because it’s illegal in my state and the cops here would rather harass people with an ounce of weed or gummies they got in California than fight real crimes.
Been trying to move out of this trash heap of a state for years in favor of a state with legal weed or at least medical mj (among other things), but no luck. We seem to be trapped here.

It's a yearly thing I swear. People go to the national parks and all common sense goes out the door. I remember once where a grizzly bear was chasing an elk and people were taking pic on the side of the road.

And here I just thought it was animals around me being weird. I nearly pet a possum bc i mistook it for my cat (I just saw it out my peripheral vision) and I got about 3 feet close. Nearly walked into some skunks on different occasions. A groundhog was trying to climb into my pool. Fun fact: they’re great swimmers. A possum tried to come into my house. Got jump scared by a deer. Turned around and SURPRISE a deer about 5 feet from me. And finally a pregnant snake is just chilling by my door for the past few days

@@winchesters4life34 most snakes lay eggs But the one outside my door is a Dekay’s Brown Snake and they give live birth. Garter Snakes also give live birth too!
@@winchesters4life34 and Dekays are small snakes. They eat mostly worms and slugs. I had a pregnant one a few years back and she’s identical to my late girl Deloris
