Your work just baffles me. I just started to play the game. How long did it take you to get to this level? Do you have places where you read up/get inspiration images from?
The way you guys fill in each other "weak-points" bringing it to a final design that is on another level is unbelievable. That requires being able of introspection and droping egos toward a common goal none of you would achieve alone. As a creative director I can tell that is teamwork at its finest.
I'm speechless, incredibly insane, you must did a deep research on Indonesia to create a such beautiful and perfect theme here, love everything you guys just did, keep it up, and Thank you for the "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" thing, that is a huge word for us Indonesia...
Wow.. Mike really takes this zoo to the next level of colaboration.. It's amazing with how you make a connection and continuity between each section of the zoo.. Also with a usage of 'little' touch of details.. like a lamp, railing, chair, etc. Impressive! And as an Indonesian, so proud with your mention of "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" its really touch us... Thanks!
My jaw got very acquainted with floor watching this. I am amazed with what you did for the interior of the panda building - really feels like you retrofitted an old building for the Panda habitat. And the jewel that Sumatra Island is becoming!! Like Silvarret kept on saying, this really has the exploratory element of a real zoo. Have to say the only thing that impresses me more than the work you all do is just how great you are at collaborating. Everyone gets to show their strengths, and you guys are all so polite about adapting other's work or giving critiques. A result this beautiful isn't possible without all of the team working well together, and it definitely shows that you can. Love this series!
I love the idea of the highland hiking path towards the waterfall trail! There’s alot of stuff you guys could be doing there! Maybe it’s a cool idea to include some kind of cave system to that specific area? Like for example the Domain of the Caves of Han. They’re pretty wellknown and it’s actually one of the largest cave complexes in Europe! Not quite near Indonesia ofcourse, but I’m sure there are some awesome caves as well! Imagine having a system of underground caves which were formed by a river coming from one of the streams of the waterfall area. Like, it could be an underground adventure opening up to the waterfall trail! Just thinking out loud! Anyways, very well done Mike! I’m looking forward to Silv’s episode next week! Thumbs up!
When this project is finished, and the final video is made, there should really be room for explaining stuff. Like the bonobo artificial pool, the thought behind it will get completely lost. All the thinking behind the stuff you all do should be shared as much as possible imo
I’m... I can’t... Ugh, I’m speechless. You make the most incredible creations, Mike. You make ART! but with wallpieces and trees. It’s so pretttyyyyyy. Favourite PlanZoo/PlanCo creator, hands down!
I'm speechless. There are so many extraordinary things to be praised. Especially the words "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika." As an Indonesian I really appreciate it. Well . . . Lastly . . . Like it, love it, beautifull as always. No, this time its mind blowing. keep it up and stay awesome. 👍
I really hope you will continue with that mountain and make it even taller, mimicking the karst plateaus in the background, would be really cool to see a winding staircase hugging it's flank with one or two enclosures on top.
Ohmai, I'm all aboard the rest of the crew like: Oh he did a thing... and another thing.. and... Ohh what!!! And it's just awesomesauce all over lol... Love the way you build, you use and see other people their imagination/inspiration and really put it down in such a realistic well put way. Awesome work again! Though one challenge might be to not completely alter everything from another Koali-Zoo member.. (mission impossible for Mike prob though). Charlie's (chocolate) hill really helps blending the background in ^^. Very nice work again!
Woah, another beautiful episode! I think the entrance area (yeah, the only thing you didn't touch in this episode) still need some more amenities and stuff (separated entrance and exit flows, turnstyles, group entrance, info kiosk, lost children, kennel, metal doors for closure, etc, etc) but yeah. The whole thing is looking really nice thanks to your work Mike! Some beautiful designs in this episode (dat abstract cave! always loved those line rocks).
Mike is Koali's Zoo CEO who truly desires to fire his employees and take care of it by himself. And thus, every episode he would be bent on spoiling the other's builds to improve them and show they could do it better. 😂😂😂
This is my favorite Episode from you mike so far👍 You did an amazing job in this part.🤩 I like that you put a picture with "before" in the Video so we can see what changed.👍
As an artist it's so satisfying to see Mike rip something out an redo it. It takes a certain kind of bravery to make those changes on such a big scale and it's inspiring to see it done time and again here.
What an episode! you rarely do a 40 minute-ish videos but when you do its so jam-packed that we asks for more. i'm so amazed on how you guys really complement each other. all the builds are all coming together and its such a great sight (even though its not finished yet). cant wait to see the finished puzzle in the future!
I love how the monorail winds it's way through the exhibits - it reminds me a lot of Chester zoo. I remember going there a lot as a young kid, and being much more interested in the monorail than the actual animals! Also the whole exploring, winding paths going round the rivers and waterfalls is fantastic! I love just wandering round narrow paths, turning a corner and finding a hidden waterfall or sudden monorail bridge... I would give anything to beam down into this park! (Might wait till Mike has finished with it though as I suspect I might get deleted...)
Awesome! I love the work of all four of you. I was laughing hearing the name 'Primate Land' because first thing that hit my mind was that you needed a habitat for the human (animal) too. On second thought maybe you should do a playground and picknick area in Primate Land ;D
Fantastic job Mike! I always love to see what you come up with! I really look forward to every Saturday now! The 4 of you do a fantastic job! Keep up the amazing work!
Awesome works!! I am amazed with what you've done in this part 😄🙌 I just wanna say thank you for bringing "bhinneka tunggal ika" to koali zoo, and yes the windows in panda's temple is accurate with the temples here in Indonesia. Love the new staircases too mike! Btw just a little suggestion, can you guys add a fountain to the big pond in the entrance area? Because it reminds me to a big pond in Kebun Raya Bogor in Indonesia. Keep up the good works, can't wait for the next episode.. cheers 😆
You guys are a good team. I know you say Mike makes everything look better, but I think it is because the rest of you inspire him with your beautiful and inventive styles and creations.
Love the attention to detail that you put in and the atmospheres that you create. I love how you can create these peaceful atmospheres with colours and light. I already said this on ladys video but I would love the addition of snow leopards on the chocolate fudge mountain or maype japanese macaques with some hot spring/pools would be awesome to see what you would do to create these. Greetings from Germany
I think macaques are a great option for the right-hand side of the chocolate fudge mountain - way up in the highlands...perhaps with a dutch chalet style climate-controlled interior!
Wooow this looks so good! When you showed that overview I was thinking maybe the raptile house should have a more red-ish tinted roof. It feels like this one is too orange. It doesn’t match the rest of the park. Should be a easy fix :)
Either that, or we bring in more of the terracotta tile elsewhere - it is a VERY large roof and you know how Delady doesn't like me touching things....hahaha
Wow it looks amazing! So I have a idea for you guys. What if you do some guest performances with other youtubers. For example you have poison blade who is making the most insane pretty things. With koali zoo more people can get to know him and his channel because to less people know of his existence and that's such a shame! And for you guys it means some new view of things and maby some inspiration?
@@ilyxr Hey Mike ;) . I was wondering, what is up with Planet Botanic? More than a month ago you made a community post, that it will come "next week". Hope you have a nice day!
@@StAngerNo1 Thanks man - yeah...I'm about halfway through the next episode but I've got my two other collabs that came at the same time. Koali today and then Season Zoo coming later.
Hello Mr. Sheets, what you are doing is truly inspiring and I'm glad I found you and Koali, BUT what you are doing at 22:45 realy bugs me, because it won't work when I try it. When i try to extend the path like you did, with waiting lines, i can't extend my normal path to the side. Game sais, the path has a wrong form (translated poorly). However, i was able to make a connection of to elevated waiting lines. Again something wird. As soon as I delet one end of the paths waitingline, the whole connection goes to heaven BUT, if I place an intersection, e.g. with another waitingline, then delet the original connecting waitinglines, the narrow path stays. After that I can just delet the intersection aswell just fine. Maybe Frontier did a fix, because they saw your technique and didn't like the possibility :( or it's just something on my end. Nevertheless, I also ended up with a good looking circular shape "earthbedding" by just leaving 1 tile of small treebark-path with wooden curbstone.
Frontier should be begging you to make content for them. As soon as I saw the hiking path I was thinking f you man, then you started showing how long it was. HO LEE SHEET. I👏cant👏wait👏to see that with foliage and waterfalls.
Great episode! If you need some inspiration for a highly themed zoo, you should check out Pairi Daiza zoo and resort in Belgium. Keep up the good work!
Respect from me as Indonesian guys. That was a great work :D I think you should try make some cluster for every indonesia's big islands like sumatra (andalas), borneo (kalimantan), java (jawa), celebes (sulawesi) and west papua (consider bali island too). Love 🤝😚♥️
Everytime I hear the "zoos aren't that different, theme parks are more divers and more themed" I cringe and my heart breaks a little. There ARE highly themed zoos IRL. Just take a look at Zoo hannover. VERY highly themed, even with offering different foods in different area and such. Plus, why on earth is a creative community always sticking to "the rules"? If you want a fantasy zoo, why not doing one? And in all honesty, even if you want to build a realistic zoo: As long as you don't make it accessable for people with disabilities or even parents with little children and a stroller, it isn't realistic anyway, but just a zoo that looks nice. No one is forced to build a realistic zoo, but using the realistic argument on why you can't theme more, can't do fantasy etc. is really getting on my nerve when we aren't actually talking about a realistic zoo because of key aspects missing anyway, as beautiful as Koali is.
I agree! But we are limited by the pieces we've been given. We are trying though and you will see in the next few episodes how we shift from a zoo with a slight skew of realism to a themed zoo that feels connected and is exciting for the people as well. And you'll be happy to know that I believe every major attraction in the zoo is technically stroller/wheelchair accessible right now. Not every stair has a ramp, but there should always be a way to get from one area to another. Sumatra island for instance has a ramped bridge (the zig zag) in addition to the curved one for just that problem. Reptile house is all ramps, all transports have ramped exits for handicapped loading. Flamingo area now has its own ramp to get down - Microhouse has a ramped layout to access all 3 levels. We really do think about these things!
Wow. Just wow. Also, Is sumatra island an actual island right now. It is a bit difficult to see with the trees, but I think it is missing the other half of the river on the "west" side
It will be an implied island by the guest experience, but to have it an actual island makes it REALLY difficult if we had to move the tigers or the elephants. Guests enter the island on 2 actual water bridges (3 if you count the waterfall trail) and the 3rd bridge will be implied to hide the backstage access - it'll look like an ornate wooden covered bridge coming into Sumatra from the flamingos!
So.. I don't know if there are any nocturnal animals in the game but if there are you could put them inside the mountain and keep the mountain hollow untill your done building the nocturnal house.
friggin amazing. Planet zoo gets a lot of shit, but the game is capable of some incredible things. This really pushes it to those limits and shows how beautiful it can be. applause.
it might not be important but for the realism aspect of the park, its important to know that there's no komodo dragons in sumatra. komodo dragons are native to indonesia (specifically in pulau komodo, flores)
That floormaker who had to cut million pieces for that tilted parquet is gonna kill you? :| Also you wen't bit overboard on vegetation on that Sil building. Should have left building itself more visible as I liked how it brought that pond area back to Indonesia after those colonial styled buildings. Now its lost. What!?
