    Check out my 30-Day program: Nourished and Renewed with Hashimoto's: bit.ly/3fZ3saz
    I mention Dry Farm Wines in my video - it is best to avoid alcohol if you think you are having a flare up. In general, though, having a low-sugar, low-alcohol, clean, organic wine is the best bet for those with Hashimoto’s - enjoy delicious, healthy wines in moderation. Here is the link to learn more: dryfarmwines.com/sarapeternell

    I just started my thyroid journey that I believe began with elevated liver enzymes and cholesterol. I took tests to eliminate anything viral and lowered cholesterol but when I went back for my annuals my TSH was out of the lab range at 4.69. Just began to take more tests like a full thyroid panel 3 months later, along with testosterone and micronutrients. My thyroid peroxidase was 1692 Iu/ml, TSH was 5.69, thyroid globulin was 30 Iu/ml, free T3 was 3.0 pg/ml, free T4 was 1.09 ng/dl. Still waiting on rT3, test and micros. I’m definitely feeling brain fog and fatigue and wanted to know how to approach this other then speaking w my doctor and cutting gluten, dairy and soy out.

    I've heard "store bought" Kombucha is worthless because they are required by law to pasturize it and that pasturization kills off all the good bacteria. So people need to make their own "home made" Kombucha.

    Thank you. Have been struggling with soooo many symptoms, drs, who don’t listen or care, no help there. It’s really turned me against drs. Have dealt with a lot of functional drs on line also, still nothing, your videos have helped me understand some things , I’ve only watched 2-3, but will watch more, again thank you.

      I gave up on doctors long ago. It’s gotten to the point that not only do I not trust them, I believe they are quacks with absolutely no ability to understand autoimmune, nutrition, and curing anything. All they know how to do is prescribe drugs and send us on our way. This is a systematic problem, it starts with med school focusing on the wrong things.

      Check into " EMF Sensitivity ". EMF = Electro-Magnetic Fields which is in Water (UV Lights), Hot Food, Hot Drinks, Etc.... It's everywhere, like the Sun. Also, Cell Phone, Bluetooth, WiFi, Wireless Modem. NOTE: I know it sounds strange, but it happens and it does to me too. Took me 10+ years to know what was causing it.

    Sara, thank you for this video. I’m 36 and I was diagnosed with Hashi’s last year when a large mass was removed from my thyroid. I’m a mom of 4 and I am definitely in my first major flare up. 😔 It’s been brutal and I normally try not to complain. It began with the body temp issues just as you described and it’s been 2 1/2 weeks of intense muscle pain, mostly in my arms...it makes sleep almost impossible. I’m actually considering taking a thyroid med for the first time if it will help. 😔 (I believe this was brought on my stress)

    Hi Sara 😊 your video was very inspiring and interesting. I am 38 and have hypothyroidism and now have POI or POF they keep going back and forth because it’s recent and now my endocrinologist wants me to go next week to have labs done to see if I have Hashimoto as she thinks that is what is causing the POF.

    Plant based?!?!? Meat has never been shown to be a trigger a flare up unless it is a trigger specifically for the individual. I found more relief going carnivore than I did eating plant based. Most triggers are plant based foods.

      I feel like this when my medication is a little high. No medical professional would ever suggest that you change your meds without labs- but real world, I’ve found that by the time I get lab results back, the ‘rush’ has subsided . So I may take a half of regular dose every other day for about a week.

  • @asikshari

    thank you for this video. i'm confused about iodine...most sources and the two books on hashimoto's that i have tell me to restrict iodine, especially during flare ups....

    • @SaraHyattNutrition
      @SaraHyattNutrition  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad it was helpful! But, you are correct that EXCESSIVE intake of iodine is not a good idea ever. Iodine-rich sea vegetables in moderation is always helpful to the thyroid. Supplementation is very tricky and should be monitored with lab work and the advice of a professional.

    Hi! I have thyroid antibodies, but my endocrinologist says I do not have hashimotos because I do not have a goiter - is this true?

    • @SaraHyattNutrition
      @SaraHyattNutrition  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The presence of a goiter is not the pre-requisite for a Hashimoto's diagnosis...the antibodies are what it is typically used to identify the autoimmune activity. You may want to get a 2nd opinion, Sarah. Good luck!
