Thanks for the Vlog! I have started level 1 myself at the beginning of March. I have finished the Preliminary swatch, and swatches 1-3. A hint about the increases in ribbing, I did the bar increase and it is virtually invisible. It is also known as kfb increase. Looking forward to sharing the journey!

I had tension problems with my first swatch as well. I first ran across the 3 stitch "tug" method to get better transitions at the edges (or between needles on in-the-round) when a watched a video by the late Cat Bordhi for Sweet Tomato heels for socks. Great technique. Suzanne Bryan, a top master knitter, has good tips on tension such as completing the stitch on the tips of the needles before allowing it to slide down the shaft. My tension issue is the left side of my stitch is tighter than the right side whether knitting flat or in the round. Don't know if that is affected by my being left-handed or not. The tension has improved but I'm still not satisfied. Keep up the good work.

I find that purling backwards helps my tension. This is where you don't turn your work, always keeping the same side facing you. There are TH-cam instructional videos on how to do this.
