Football Champ / Hat Trick Hero was a very popular arcade game from 1990. This is one of my all time favourite games and as you can see, it's been a while since I played it. I get a little better after each game as it all came flooding back to me. This also includes 2 Super Shot goals and end credits.
Football Champ is an arcade-style football (soccer) video game. The game was produced by Team Dogyan developers in Japan, and originally released in the arcades by Taito Corporation in 1990. Euro Football Champ and Hat Trick Hero, released in 1992, are versions of this game with minor variations. Subsequent arcade releases of this game include Hat Trick Hero '93 (Japan) and Hat Trick Hero '95 (Japan, also released as Taito Power Goal).

I got so good at the game that when my winger crossed from the byline it would evade the keeper,my striker instead of tapping in an open goal would then run towards the keeper again and back heel over his head for a goal.

Think there was a few variants of this game. One had a Hypershoot where the player went into an energy ball which went right through the next and into the stands. One variant had interruptions where it would come up on screen "What's Happening" and you'd get something like a censored streakier, or a player getting their shorts pulled down

Yes I remember playing a much more rowdier version of this game and I remember the pants-ing being a recurring joke.
