They stopped the session early! - Teamsport Liverpool - 28/08/24

- In this video you’ll get to see why public karting sessions have such a bad reputation. This was recorded at Teamsport Liverpool on a Wednesday early afternoon. We booked it as these sessions are normally fairly quiet, and on the first session there was only 2 other drivers on the track with me and it was a pretty clean run.
Unfortunately they were running a bit behind so my second session was combined with another group so there were 13 drivers on track, with most having little or no karting experience. This is the first time I've been on a session that's been ended early due to the amount of flags and crashes.
There's no times shown as it really wasn't worth it, but there's a red flag counter in the corner. Make sure you keep watching until the end of the session to see what caused the marshals to call it to an early end, and to see the lap from my third session which was a new personal best on speed 3.

BIKC is a British motorsport indoor karting event that is open to anyone aged 8 and above. Both Ella and Hayden are currently in the top 20 to go through to the local finals, which will take place at Teamsport Liverpool on the 11th and 12th of September.

this is why i don't like teamsport merging sessions these red lights just spoil it and takes the fun away plus the laptime but good luck in the BIKC and great video :)
Thanks! Totally agree, I get why they do it but it does affect the session. Credit to the staff though as they managed it really well.

what do you use to record your sessions?
GoPro hero 9. It's just mounted to the helmet using the standard GoPro mounts. Once you get the settings right the footage is really good, took me a while to work it out though which is why some of the earlier recordings don't look as good.
They could just use the yellow flag 😂 don't need to red it every time 🤣
True, and normally it isn't this bad. They are a bit more cautious on public sessions with kids on, but they were being even more careful on this one because of how many spins were happening.
