Thanks for the videos you have been a great inspiration to me and my painting I reduced my pallet and learned to use the colours I love sepia,indigo,raw sienna, paynes grey, etc and also your use of raw umber in other videos. You keep teaching I’ll keep learning , thanks .

An image such as this conjures cold feelings of the pending hard frost it promises. But that's not taking from your skill as an artist. It's a stunning piece of work. That I would be caught staring at trying to find a deer strolling across from one side to the other in search of a snack. Wonderful painting Lois. as usual. TTFN.
Lois have you used frog tape. The yellow is light stick and works great for the paper. The edges are very crisp. The tape comes in green more stick also. It works really well.
This was wonderful to paint and rather easy - I can only encourage anyone to try this, no matter your experience. I had issues to really create the birch tree in a simple matter like you, but I helped mysef with some Gouache and really liked the outcome. Will try the birch tree forest next! Fabulous painting! Just wondered about erasing pencil lines after painting .... I find that once the paint went on it isn't possible to erase ... any hints on what I might be doing wrong?
It may be your paper, some papers seem to seal the graphite under the paint, others don't, so trial and error, or keep pencil marks very light so they don't show too much
Thank you for the tutorial. I appreciate your clear and (patient-sounding) narrative. One thing I wondered about - the blue and yellow reflection in the snow - Was that a happy accident or was it planned? And I love that bloom!

I’ve never been able to erase pencil marks once they’ve been painted over. Do you have any tips or tricks, other than using watercolor pencils?
I don't have problems, I find my graphite marks fade or erase easily enough on my cotton paper so sorry, I can't help!
