The Kumuls need to improve on their defense if they want to become a tier 1 nation. The Tongan tries were too easy.
Well understand all of you got all the NRL players (Top-tier division) who at another level whereas us kumul players we got most of the nsw cup and host plus cup players (Second- tier Division) that almost level you guys.

Minus a winger (Xavier Coates) with the second-rower in Dan Russell playing wing, I reckon the Kumuls were outstanding despite the odds and the star-studded Tongan side with a wealth of NRL players and experience.

What about the shoulder charge on Roderick Tai in the corner of that disallowed try. Penalty Try should have been awarded. Also, that fuck up with the scrum awarded to PNG and then given to Tonga right on half time, wtf was that about?? The icing on the cake was the first try Tonga scored off the back of a 3-meter forward pass lol. Never in my life have I seen such a redundant group of match officials. Tonga got lucky; PNG was by far the better team. Ran structured plays, crossed the line more (Even though execution failed half the time), it showed they had more attack potency then Tonga. If anything, the Kumuls need to pull up their socks in defense, they literally stood by and watched Tonga pass 8 times before eventually kicking through a hole and scoring the winning try. The kick return that led to Tonga's second try was from Justin Olam and his outside man not getting up in line quick enough to close the gaps. The boys need to give their opponents more respect and not get complacent. They will meet again during the Pool play offs and PNG will most definitely send MMT packing. You heard it here first.

Looking back at this World Cup. Tonga got lucky against PNG. Losing to Samoa showed how overrated we were.
