That was one of my Grandma’s favorite places. She grew up not too far away. She climb that trail in her 80’s in her little black Grandma shoes and left the rest of us in her dust. That bench hasn’t always been there, believe me- I needed one badly.

I knew 2 pe0ple who died falling from getting too close to the edge in the Smokies. 1 was our neighbor, a senior in high school on a school trip. Boy could he play the guitar. The second was my stepson's girlfriend while at Clemson University. I could never do a hike like that.
