Winter 2025. Fishing deep water in Hackberry, Louisiana just after record snowfall. Lots of details in video. And LOTS of fish. Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy.
Yep that severe cold and snow did a number on the shallow water marsh fishing. The water still hasn’t returned. Can’t even access many spots due to getting stuck in the mud. And the fish haven’t returned either. And of course we also had quite a significant fish kill. Only benefit is finding some deep holes and sometimes the fish are loaded up there. Ready for that water to return and the temps to warm up. Good luck at your end. Cheers.
As always, good video. I love that place because I hardly ever see anyone fishing there. Many a time I have gone there and seen exactly zero other fishermen.
Great catches! Winter fishing is usually tough for me especially after weather like we had roll through. You found em though. Great video

Great video and catches Mark 👍
Thanks a lot Paul. Normally those conditions and location produce redfish. I was very happy to find the trout and catch a bunch.
Take care.
Cheers!
17:25 - Nice one.....
Ye sir!! When a trout pulls like a big redfish, you know you have a good one!
Cheers!
Glad to see they’re still biting! I’m planing on going down into the marsh this Friday.
I love fishing those sparkle beetles on a double rig!
Yep definitely still biting. Gotta love winter fishing.
Good luck Friday!
Hope to see a video.
Cheers!

where is this exactly?
Same here.
Underrated area. I love it.
Hope you get some next trip there.
Cheers!
It’s named Choupique Bayou coming off the Calcasieu River / Ship Channel. Sulphur, Louisiana.
Tricky area due to lots of very shallow spots for boats.
The cats name is “Launch”
Thanks! Such a cool little cat.
Gonna help take good care of it.
