Could you do a review of all titleist golf balls? From TruFeel, Velocity Tour Soft, Tour Speed, AVX, Pro V1, and Pro V1X. Would love your comparison of them all!
I really like Guy Charnock. I started watching Rick's golf videos and eventually found this show but I have to admit Guy has become my favorite part. Idk what it is about him: his charm, his positivity, his sense of humor, his point of view... I'm just always happy when he's involved.
I still use the copper beryllium ping eye 2 irons 2-sw. I know I'm missing a lot of distance but when they're cleaned or just slight patina they look amazing
Very much relate to you guys on the weather as a Wisconsin golfer. I don't have a space with high enough ceilings either; so even though I have a sim, last night I was out in 37-39* F (like 4* C for the non US audience) playing four rounds on my sim on the back yard porch. Tomorrow night is supposed to be our first freeze of the year, pretty soon I'm going to have to resign in to golf hibernation and the yearly add 2-4 strokes to my handicap for next year mentally because I wont be playing as good as I am now come spring.
Same exact thing for me here in Syracuse, NY. By the end of September I am playing of a 3 and am consistently shooting in the mid 70s no matter what course. Come April- May 2025 when I can hit the course again I completely lose all my feel and touch with my putting. I play sim golf indoors once or twice a month max all winter and that costs me 40$ an hour. It’s seriously depressing.
@@aarondeluca5888 My game the last two years has been how early in the year can I get back to single digits. I'll be stoked if I break 80 my first round back in 2025 when I get to go out again.
Guilty golfer - it’s not remotely difficult to me. You contracted to pay for a service, you have received the service, so pay the money. Approach the club and be honest. I’m ok with coming up with an agreement on not paying a big lump at once, but surely you need to be honest. I wouldn’t sleep at night if that was me. I certainly wouldn’t be able to enjoy being at the golf club knowing I’m cheating them every minute I’m there. Do the right thing. 🙏
he's not cheating. he signed up to play golf provided all details its not his fault they are incompetent. and you know for a fact they will expect him to backpay if he mentions it, which is nonsense as people pay by direct debt to avoid that. He should do nothing and let them figure it out
I have an idea for a Goldbidder video. How about a bucket list/best of golf bag. Make a set using the best golf clubs you had ever had or a set of clubs you always wanted and play a round with them.
When PRO V1's were released the club i was a member of had to limit members to half a dozen each as everyone wanted them. The half dozen rule lasted for at least 6 months before supply started to match demand
Tickets are a random selection process. They do not come out until Nov 4. The ones you are looking at are tickets alloted to ticket vendors that mark it up way too much.
No Rick, it’s Not tough. Honest and trustworthy is honest and trustworthy. The size of the golf club is irrelevant. He played the golf course so pay the money.
Might have been done before, not sure, but would love to see a blind golf ball review. A review across brands and models but with the branding covered up, just numbered for ID purposes. Gets rid of any biases
I am SO disappointed in your response to guilty golfer. There's no universe in which the member doesn't owe it to the club. He'll eventually be found out, and what will that do to his reputation locally?
The most important product to golf is not any ball or club but the lawn mower, invented in 1830. For decades, nobody played golf. Improved maintenance of golf courses saved the sport from a slow death. It wouldn't exist without it. The Scott brothers in Philly introduced toilet paper on a roll in 1890. They were too embarrassed to admit this to friends. Even while I might be forced to carry my toilet paper out of a wilderness area, I'm always taking it in. Most important.
I wouldn’t want any golfer to not be honest, if you realise they haven’t been taking the subs. Go and ask the club say you haven’t got the money and ask if they can add extra £10 on subs till it’s paid back. The club will get there money eventually the difference between £50 and £60 is negligible. You feel you’ve done the right thing in offering ! But to say nothing and not to offer is now dishonest and you are now a thief !
Almost impossible to buy pro v 1s here just because i dont live in a major golf market country and were the bottom of the supply chain priority. Every now and then you find one a tourist has lost and they are without doubt the best.
A Pro Golfer can benefit from a ProV1 but your average 7hcp golfer will shoot lower scores with a low-spin ball which goes straight and finds fairways and does not randomly check up and release. Stick with the Maxfli Straightfli if you want to score.
Imagine resigning your membership later on and when the club wants to cancel your subscription they find out they haven’t invoiced you for a couple a years and now ask about the money… Be the person you’d like to meet in the course, an honest one :)
Guilty Golfer? If he is in a financial situation where he can't pay off the £450 in one go, he should come clean and come to a payment plan with the club, no question about it. I was surprised you think it is OK to not pay larger companies.
I don't know if Band Aid brand bandages are available in the UK. However, this product may be more successful than Pro V1. So successful that even bandages of a different brand are called "Band Aids". Additionally, everyone can use a Band Aid, only golfers can use a Pro V.
It just took a few years for the other manufacturers to find ways to infringe on Titleist's patients and introduce competitive golf balls. That's free enterprise, but competition is good for everyone by driving the market's innovation.
Sure Ricks's corporate sponsors will appreciate his comments that it's fine to rip off large corporations. I'm just off to the local Merc dealer to nick a G Wagon, I'll get 4 sets in the boot, thanks for the advice 👍
You wouldn’t say anything about the club not charging you? Well, at least you are honest about that. It’s a shame that you aren’t honest enough to pay what you agreed for the services. A teacher once told me that anytime you steal something, it will cost you twice as much without you knowing it. Call it karma or whatever you want but the circle of life will even things out.
I don’t like pro v 1 golf ball. Just feel so hard of the face for me which I don’t like. Saying that I still have no idea what ball is best suited to me
You apologised to grant yet Rick? Sharing his personal messages come on, your a husband and father surely your better then that. Grow up, a btw your a very average golfer everyone knows 😅
In my opinion the ProV1 is over hyped as it’s marketed massively. In my opinion the TP5 has a far better feel and cover is more durable. On the membership dilemma I’d be telling the office from the first month. Then if not followed up, on their head be it
For the “guilty golfer” Shay should approach the desk and say they got a new bank card and need to change the info so they’ll update Shay’s bank card in the system and start paying.
“That’s a really tough one” Seriously? Have some integrity. You owe the club that money. If you lost your wallet you would want someone to return it right? If you don’t have the money then perhaps take up running.
cost of tickets: £700 + let's face it, is scandalous. but, in some ways I agree with guy. it's business and people are willing to pay it. how much does a ticket to see Taylor swift cost? she's on for 2 hours? I personally don't agree with the hikes but people will pay it unfortunately.
The Ryder cup prices are so high to make sure that Europe doesn't swamp the event with supporters. On the question of paying.. If you use the services you pay regardless of corporate size. Not paying is what increases prices and puts the little people out of business. No ifs or buts...pay up
A real conundrum regarding the morals of money. I once ordered a pair of boots from a huge company, the boots never arrived so contacted the company and they sent some more, then 6 months later the second pair turned up. I didn’t bother contacting the company. If it had been a local independent shoe shop I’d have returned them. If the guilty golfer can’t afford to pay the 9 months worth of £50 in one go, I’d just wait another 3 months until membership renewal time and give them new bank details for the direct debit and say you’ve moved banks.
No, imo the prov1 is not the best golf product ever. It is a very good one but I believe the honor of best product hands down has to go to the hybrid golf club. No other piece of equipment has helped more golfers big and small, young and old, pro and amateur than the hybrid and that's a fact.
The Guilty Golfer: Course of action: contact the golf course and make the people responsible for this program aware of what has happened. Get their reaction. Once that is established, since you have contracted for this service, negotiate a payment plan to get the account reconciled. At some point, you have to step up and take action. You do not want this situation to drag on and have someone belatedly discover you are in arears for a hefty sum.
How often do we hear Rick saying he’s playing well and his game is trending, then a couple of videos later he’s shooting 84 and duffing chip after chip?
The guilty gofer I'd ride it out for the rest of the year till it's time to renew. From the sound of it they like it so will probably renew. Be honest n say they haven't charged me all year n offer to pay double for the year ahead. If he feels that guilty like.
Let's pretend that golf is a game of honor. Pay your damn bill. Don't be guilty of "theft of services". However, I don't necessarily understand how you can play golf, for a month, for 50 pounds!
It is the UK. I pay $700/month in AZ and leave for 5 months. It's $800/yr where go in the summer. But we have an overseas membership in the UK that's about $400 each. The visitor green fee there is over $100.
Here is a Question for you on proV1. If they can make it for £15 a dozen why don’t they ! Because if they do nobody would buy any other ball Period ! 100% of people could afford £15 a dozen for the quality of a proV1. It takes away from the kudos of the brand ! But the profit would be through the roof !
