Both bands are awesome! Fun reaction!
That said, it truly amazes me that so many people equate "slap bass" as being superior to other types of bass playing. Yes, Misa is a phenomenal bass player! But, so is Ale. As a 35-year professional drummer/percussionist, I find that Ale is so underrated by others in her musicianship. One thing that many seem to overlook is that she is basically a human metronome. In addition to that, Ale tends to play from a "jazz bass" perspective in that her bass parts mix well with the song she is playing, without the need to be overly flashy (it's just a different way of approaching the art).
Again, both Misa and Ale are great, but just in different ways. A good example of the dichotomy I'm referring to would be bass players Tal Wilkenfeld and Mohini Dey. If you don't know who they are, then check them out!

Alejandra the bassist for The Warning became a member of the Spector bass family, who welcomed her into their family at the age of 15. She is now 19 and consider to be a human metronome. Try out "Automatic Sun" live from the Jimmy Kimmel show or "Hell You Call a Dream" live from the Pepsi Center. Cheers.

Band-Maid and The Warning are fans of each other before they met in person in 2022 and became friends. They first did this song live on stage in Japan. The two bassists, Misa the ‘barefoot assassin’ and Ale (Alejandra) the ‘thunder goddess’ were said to have become close friends. The Warning have invited Band-Maid to perform with them in Mexico, and sing with them in Spanish. If you choose, check out the ‘go to intro’ song for The Warning, Evolve live at the 2023 MTV VMA.

I'm a Band-Maid fan and also like The Warning. Instrumentally speaking, this is just a teaser, nothing unexpected from these two bands and leaves you wanting more. What IS impressive is that Saiki and Dani are singing a higher key than either of them is comfortable with and they are so Insync, you'd think they have similar voices, but they are not. Loved it.

Check out the Warning perform "Evolve" at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Another great one is Hell You Call a Dream (HYCAD) at the Pepsi Center CDMX. The Warning kicks ass live.

This collab was an anthem that screams "GIRL POWER!". They may be the new "Power Couple" in rock because Dany, in an interview with Kanami for PRS Guitars Japan, hinted that there is another future collab between the two.

I'm a long time Maidiac. I love this collaboration. I have been "aware" of The Warning since they did their Enter Sandman cover many many moons ago. I have always "liked" them, but I never gave them my proper attention till this past weekend whilst on a road trip. They have a new fan. They're great. A totally different rock style to Band-Maid but familiar to me..... A sprinkling of Stoner/Sludge. Both bands are great in there own right and I wish nothing but success for both. hacia adelante y hacia arriba & 前進と上向き (Forward and Upward).

The bands met at Aftershock Festival in 2022. Band-Maid invited The Warning to Japan. During the visit they recorded the track, shot the music video and put on a co-headline show in Tokyo ending with both bands coming on stage together to perform this song live. The door has been left open for Band-Maid to visit Mexico for a 2nd collaboration in the future! Highly recommend checking out The Warning's original music, equally fantastic ⚡

So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to go to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.

I think the vocals in general were very forward in the mix. As for The Warning, check out any of the live performances of Automatic Sun, Evolve (2023 MTV VMAs), Disciple (Pol’and’Rock festival) or Hell You Call a Dream (Pepsi Center CDMX) on their channel! 😎👍

W I N !!!!! 🎀 W I N !!!⚡I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. I’ve watched “Show Them” 50 times now and still haven’t been able to drop my eyes down to the lyrics.🤘😂 Thx, Paul & Tim! Btw -- I was just thinking: Band-Maid and The Warning, two very different bands, found something that would bring them together -- music! If only the people of the world could find something that would bring them together. I know... if peace and prosperity isn't enough, how about uniting for the very survival of our species! 🤔

1st verse has Saiki higher in the mix, 2nd verse has Dany higher then in the third they are both equal.

I would not mind Ale throwing in some unexpected slap bass in some future song.

It isn't a battle of the bands, it is a collaboration.

It isn't a battle of the bands...it is two groups of friends creating excellent music. No need to say who is better and all that sh!t!
