I'm pretty sure this was a joke because no guitar can perfectly be in tune like a piano. You can just make it so that it sounds close to the perfect tuning.
Cool experiment. Try replacing your bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan invader but leave the stock neck pickup on that sg as is. When you use both pickups at once it mimicks the guitar tone from Green Day's kerplunk album.
tiny bit of advice, hold the pick loosely and strum with the smooth motion when you play slow songs like this. green day may play it on an electric but he plays it like its an acoustic. this sounds amazing by the way. this is just how id play it, so do whatever you think sounds good :)
