Hi TKs Tech I order mine 2 weeks ago just got my shipment on it and i'm excited to get it and try it out.
Hey there, awesome review. When will u be doing a video to test the PS Remote Play with the G8? This is the only part I would like to see before pulling the trigger to purchase one.
Hi there, my Fold 4 is in for service at the moment, and I would like to use that phone for the video so hopefully by early next week i'll have a video up. The main reason for using the fold 4 is because I will be comparing it to the PS Portal. Stay tuned!
@@TKsTechCornerbut is this really working with the ps remote play app and not the psplay 3rd party?
I'm using the Psplay app with this controller (no black bars on the sides), it's great, especially with my Xperia 1V! Full recommended!!!
Which games work for it on iPhone? I only find a few :/ Is there a list?
If they don't design these controllers to fit around a phone with case on, that's a no go in my book. Luckily the new Backbone 2nd gen fit my iPhone 15 pro max with phone case thanks to the new included adapters. My phone case was so thick, I completely removed all adapters and it fit perfect.
Same here... that's why I'm staying with the Gamevice Flex. I don't have to worry about taking my case off.
i use a thin case and it works
Im going to try this controller with a thin case. I almost got a backbone but decided against it because the thumbsticks on the backbone look like they suck.
I have this gamepad for a week now, for me this is the best telescopic mobile gamepad on the market now, it's great, much, much better like backbone one, it's a proper grip feeling like normal Xbox controller!!!
@@HSGG_what case and phone?
Do you think a play station kontrol freak will fit on the thumbsticks ?
The joysticks can pretty much take andy aftermarket stick. So yeah im sure you could
The only thing that makes me hesitate (and the reason I bought the Gamesir X2 USB C connection one specifically) is that I have a Z Fold 5 and I 100% prefer the screen overhang to be above the controller than below. Whyyyy did they swap the side the USB C connector is on? 😭
I been complaining about this for quite a few controllers, I gave up, they all seem to be fixed on having the c port on the right. But....due to the depth of the grips, on this occasion, it feels alot better. And also, its now a very close setup to the PS Portal. i'm going to be releasing a video comparing the two this week.
I literally just asked them in their live stream and "they didn't seem to see" my question
I'm in the same boat with the fold4. Our only hope is a bluetooth version
Either way any usb c controller will look awkward on a ZFold. Its also a very small nitch of users who have the fold. Having the usb connector in the right keeps the digital home button and swipe gestures on the right hand side which is smoother for the user than on the left. When it comes to using a fold, you're kind of out of luck with the usb connected controllers. This comes from a fold user ive had the 2, 3, 4, and how 5.
@@PJP-DJP Im curious as to how many of these they sell to non niche gamers
A question, when playing xcloud gaming , does It have Rumble?? Does the Gamesir Galileo G8 Rumble? Perhaps just Rumble the phone itself?
Can you clarify this please ?
Thanks !!
Is there a travel case for this? I ordered the controller now.
I have been searching for weeks and haven’t found one. I even emailed GameSir and they didn’t address that question. Still looking
@@ryans4041I'm going to be emailing them so I will also let them know there is a lot of demand for a carry case, hopefully I can prompt them to get making one!
@@TKsTechCorner thanks. With all they did right with this, that would top it off!
Is the usb C shorter than the gamesir x2? Will a device with case fit. I have the x2 and my phone does not fit with a case
It doesn't fit. My case is very slim and I can't connect no matter how much I try to squeeze it in, so I need to remove the case each time.
@@xl2k2008 you can cut the rubber protector on the side of the USB port and it can fit a phone with ticker cases, I've done that mod on my Gamesir X2 pro, there are examples on youtube and reddit about this mod, but is very simple
@@hectorgomez401 Yes, it's just the rubber that prevents the connection, but I am not willing to void my warranty just for that. Perhaps if I keep it, then next year when the warranty expires I might do it. I also ordered a BSP D8, I will see if it's good enough, if so I will return the Gamesir G8.
Doesn't this button below the D-pad get in the way?
Nope, not at all from my time with this so far.
@@TKsTechCorner nice
How to use the back buttons without software ?
Hold back button + M button until light flashes then press on the button you want to map the back button to
please review options for bag/case for this gamepad.. search everywhere but too small for this gamepad... tq
There are cases on amazon made to fit the G8, I purchased one other day and it's a nice sturdy carry case
Hey just lettin you know the amazon code isnt valid not sure if there was a limit on it but just figured you should know!
for a casual light mobile gaming,
do you recommend this or the gamesir x2 pro?
this looks way comfortable for long gaming sessions, but the x2 pro is seems more slick and portable.
@davidgrg21, definitely the X2 Pro for portability, especially it comes with a nice quality hard case. For longer in-house gaming sessions, the G8 all the way, it's incredibly comfortable! I'm going to be on the lookout for a nice case.
The game sir X2 Pro DOES NOT work with the new iPhone 15 line up suggested at 6:39 . Gamesir want people to upgrade to the latest G8 model
i've got another mobile controller that I cant release details on as yet - it's another USB-C controller that is also compatible with the iPhone. Video to be released on 10th December. Stay tuned for more info!
@@TKsTechCorner ELO Vagabond?
@ishereally92 i'm on the beta list for that - looking forward to getting my hands on that one! But the one I referred to is another.
oops, that reply was supposed to be from here, not my other. I'll be posting some promotional material for the ELO hopefully before I get the controller. I've had some direct communications with the CEO and the product is looking great.
Compatible with the iphone xs?
Any one know of any compatible travel cases i could buy for this or any news on an incoming official carry case?
I've reached out to Gamesir and their official response is that they have no official case planned as yet. I have let them know there is a demand for the case. They have said they will advise if they are likely to manufacture one.
@@TKsTechCorner awesome. Any idea of an unofficial case that would suit my travelling needs?
how far can you stretch the controller?
About 185 mm. Not far enough to hold say an iPad mini
You can mod it very easily to accommodate large tablets.
No link? What's the price? Where do you buy it? Thanks
Will post the link shortly with a discount code.
@@TKsTechCorner ok when you do post it the link, please send me quick reminder here so that i get the notification thanks
@@dadou193 Discount code and links now posted in the video description, enjoy!
@@TKsTechCorner i had another question but you didn't answer, wondering if it's compatible with all iPhones, for instance the XS. ? Thanks (by the way your amazon link says "currently unavailable " is it just me because of my region or it's sold out everywhere?)
@@dadou193 Sorry missed that bit! I believe the iPhone XS has a lightning port, and not a usb-c port, so it's not going to work with that unfortunately. I did a video of the Leadjoy M1 which has a lightning port, and is a great controller for older iPhone models that don't have a usb-c port on them. WIth regards to the status of the controller, I get the same, and that's just due to having sold out. Hoping it will be back in stock soon for everybody to enjoy!
Metatron is that you?
Does this work with PS Remote Play? Thanks in advance.
Hi there, i'll be doing a PS Remote Play test with official and 3rd party apps and posting the video tomorrow night hopefully, with a view of comparing this as an alternative to the Playstation Portal. Stay tuned!
There is a Playstation input mode (you press Start+Select to change the modes) which is light green, it works 100% with the official PS remote app
@@xl2k2008 sounds great 👍 I've ordered mine today. Let's see if it's as good as it looks.
@@zero2006xl I got mine yesterday. I'm not sure if I'll keep it, it's not perfect considering the price (twice a normal Xbox controller). The usb c port under the controller is only for charging, so you can't say plug the controller like you could with the Backbone One or even use a Usb c to HDMI cable to play on a larger screen. It also doesn't work with my phone case, which is pretty slim and the gamepad doesn't have any rumbling support from what I can tell (could also just be an Android issue). Considering a BSP D8 controller is less than a third of its price, I might get that instead and return the Gamesir G8.
But it's very comfortable to hold and those joysticks are great!
@@xl2k2008 what can you do with the BBOne USBC port that is not available on this device?
Can I use my case with it?
Yes you can. I just finished doing so. I use the new Moft Snap case for the 15 pro max.
Is this compatible with Samsung galaxy S23 Ultra ?
Yes
Does it have haptics ?
Doesn't seem like it does
@@xl2k2008 then y is it the best ?
@@ishotudropdead I doubt it's the "best" : the Xbox and PS5 controllers are cheaper and have way more features, but they aren't very comfortable with phone holders. Those phone controllers are just very expensive, but they offer less features...
@@ishotudropdeadwhich one is then?
I doubt it
Can you play pubg without get banned?
You don't feel the lag? I can even see the lag. 16:39. No wonder you're in the dirt and ramming traffic head on.
Fortunately not, I think I mentioned in the video but thats down to me having to hold the phone at an angle where I cant clearly see whats going on and trying to make it a better angle to capture for the video instead. The controller does not lag, especially if your playing something locally. If you do experience lag due to the streaming service, thats a separate issue. Regards.
