WOW!!!! I don't think I would have went on another cruise after all that. Me and my mom did great on our first cruise. I must admit I was afraid to have the boat leave my sight. I don't know when I will ever be able to do an excursion.
I’m 32.5 days away from our first cruise (Carnival outta Charleston) 4 night with a 6 and 20 yo kids. These videos have ALREADY helped me SO much!!! I’m listening while driving and laughing my @$$ off..😂 thank you for all you reviews and 100% honesty.
Y'all crack me up! It was so funny to listen to your first cruise horror story. So I thought I would share ours as it was a a Disaster! Long story but worth it :D We had a 7 nt. cruise going to Key west, freeport and nassau. First night, hubby gets a headache so goes to bed early. 2nd day.. get off in Key West and all was fine but by the end of the day I wasn't feeling well so got back on the ship and laid down in the cabin. Within a couple of hours I had a fever, cough and sweating. Hubby goes to the convenience store and spent $17 on a bottle of nyquil. Next day was a sea day.. I was full blown sick so stayed in bed all day while hubby wondered around the ship bored and having to eat by himself. Next day was freeport.. but, we weren't able to dock because of high winds. I was still sick so that was fine but now hubby is getting really bored. I was finally feeling better but now hubby has a bad headache again. I have him taking advil every 4 hours but his headache wasn't going away.. Next morning Nassau. I was feeling so much better and so excited to get off that ship. We had an excursion scheduled with Carnival so went down to the meeting place to find out, it was cancelled due to high surf. So now we are like.. What the heck do we do?? So we got a cab and went to Atlantis where we thought we could go to the beach.. like, you, Nope. So walked around as long as we could, a couple hours maybe. Got back into a 'taxi' to head back to the ship .. but not until they had to stop and get gas LOL. So we are back on the ship and go sit in the hot tub. Met some nice guys and chatted but hubby kept trying to fall asleep. I'm like dude.. wake up! We then go to dinner - this is the first meal we had to together this whole time since I was so sick and all. At dinner, he just couldn't shake his tiredness so we go back to the cabin. I get ready for bed and get my pill container .. ummm.. " Hey babe, where are my sleeping pills??" ... Turns out, he was taking 2 sleeping pills every 4 hours, not Advil!!! OMG lucky he is alive LOL... our last day of the cruise was a sea day and I just sat at that pool all day long and drank. It was by far the worst vacation we ever had. All we wanted to do was get in the ocean and snorkel and we didn't get our feet in the sand one time and I almost killed my husband LOL.. Since then I have been on 10 cruises and love it..

Maaaaaaaan!!! My wife and I cruised to the Bahamas in April of 2008 and I swear we had the same dude for the water taxi….😂😂😂😂.We were so tripped out from the boat ride to Atlantis we took a regular Taxi back to the boat with another couple. Crazy…😂😂😂😂
Omg I have laughed so much my hubby came in to check on me,,, he was like what the crap is so funny… I was like I think we took the same cruise as this couple… lol my hubby was almost doing the chanting thing…. 😜😜he swore if he ever got to land he would never cruise again!!!! But we have been on several since then and they’ve been great 😊😊

I am a TA now as well, started cruising in 2011. So much has changed since my first cruise. When I tell you, I was SHOOK on my first cruise. I can relate so much to this! Y'all had me crying laughing.
You guys are hysterical!!! My last cruise was with 60 other quilters, a panama canal cruise, and one of the quilters got in to a fist fight with their roommate and she got kicked off the cruise before we even left!!!
Hey, hubby and I got off in Freeport and did a kayak / beach picnic excursion. It was AMAZING!! I wasn't feeling a kayak adventure but he talked me into it and it was great. I highly recommend it.
😱 OMG! I would have stopped cruising too. That's actually scary the white (kidnapping) van 😳! Also, it's a funny story, girl your eyes 👀 shut down. Not to mention the chant "let me off this ship" 😂! My first cruise was not great, but not so bad that we didn't try again. We went on another cruise the next year and had a blast! Now we cruise every year. Until unfortunately, the pandemic hit and there went our vacation life. I absolutely love cruising. We'll be getting on the Mardi Gras in June. I'm like a child waiting for Christmas morning to open gifts trying to keep my excitement contained. I really enjoyed your story! I always enjoy watching you two! God bless!

LAWD!!!! My first cruise was to the Bahamas and it was CRAZYYYY! 1. The tour guide didn’t want to take us to beach we WANTED to go to… was cussing us out and all…. 2. The bus on the way back felt like we was gonna fall through the bottom… it broke down for about 5 min. I was praying to everybody and they granddaddy to get back to that boat 🤣😭

I am laying in the bed laughing at you! That was some cruise you went on. However, I know what you are talking about with those water taxis in the Bahamas. I had followed another cruise vlogger and they would take the water taxis all the time. Truth be told it is a beautiful ride but scary as hell. I was looking for the life vest myself and what I saw was old vest and they only a handful. I was praying all the way. I can’t swim at all. I was scared and was not the only one who felt like me. That experience told me not to get on ever again,
I laughed so hard I was crying. You two are fabulous story tellers. On my first paid cruise to Alaska I paid for a Salmon Buffet excursion. It was AMAZING! I also prepaid for a full body massage because I didn’t know they would offer a special deal every day. But they allowed me to give the prepaid to my partner and I had an even better one. I was so glad to hear of her acupuncture experience because it happened to me at my physical therapists office and the doctor acted like I was crazy. Can’t wait to see what else you have to share.
🤣 I lucked out. Had my first cruise that was on Carnival. The only mistake I made was overpacking. We had the earliest time for embarkment (10a I believe) and was on lido taking pictures and with a drink in my hand by 11:30a. I read the Carnival information (what to bring, what is prohibited, etc) a million times and asked a million questions to my friend who has been on maybe dozens of cruises. Our room was right at the stairs and just above us was the theater area where they had shows which was mere steps from the lobby. Though pricey, I booked excursions through Carnival for the comfort of knowing that if there were issues getting back to port on time (like transportation) they would wait. I had a great time and would certainly do it again.
Oh mylanta...I am laughing so hard....the vibrating at the table in the MDR, the bootleg tour of Nassau with the (not) free beach...the driver of the white van offering you to take you all back to the ship,( glad you two didn't take them up on the offer-bad idea)...the acupuncture fiasco (glad your sight came back)....your story telling makes it funny...
This story was scary and hilarious at the same time. Lol. I’ve only been on 1 cruise and that was 11 years ago. My parents paid for everything so now that I’m looking to book a cruise for my husband and myself I feel like I need to do all the research I can! I plan on binge watching y’all’s videos all weekend! Oh my goodness y'all having me cracking up. I've been cruising since 2010 .I can relate to all your stories. And yep in Atlantis my very first time a random guy pulls up next to my daughter and I to offer us a ride for 3.00, NOPE than the straw market was soooo scary. The ladies were yelling HEY pretty ladies I'm wheeling and dealing...NOPE On my 3rd cruise there was no less than 6 deaths of elderly . I absolutely love the way you tell stories . @@LifeWithUsTV yep one was awful. she was on our hall. she left her group having an asthma attack and died in the hall outside her room. I heard the emergency people running down the hall. she was the bus driver for a group . Two of the ladies of the group were seated at our table. I can confirm at least 4 of the deaths the others were rumors but probably true. One guy was I believe 90 years old died in his sleep. 2 heart attacks and 2 flown off the ship by helicopter. When we landed at one of the Islands we saw an ambulance arrive and remove a body to be flown home. The widow wanted to go home. I can understand this. My sister and I always have very adventure filled cruises.This cruise no one could quit talking about the deaths etc....

I am on the floor!!! My 1st cruise in 2007 was wonderful on RC. Thankfully I cruised with seasoned cruisers so I avoided some mess lol. We also lucked out and one of the NYC radio DJs was hosting the parties at the nightclub every night. While all my other cruises were also pretty good, the music for the parties has never been as good as it was in '07. I've only cruised RC and NCL and each have their pros and cons. But I love cruising!!!
My first cruise was with NCL around 2003, we wound up going through hurricane Bonnie! Our Capt Nemo thought it was a good idea to leave Bermuda ahead of the storm while all the other cruise lines waited. Needless to say it was 48 hours of hell! In the end all the other ships passed us heading into NYC!!!

LAWD!!!! My first cruise was to the Bahamas and it was CRAZYYYY! 1. The tour guide didn’t want to take us to beach we WANTED to go to… was cussing us out and all…. 2. The bus on the way back felt like we was gonna fall through the bottom… it broke down for about 5 min. I was praying to everybody and they granddaddy to get back to that boat 🤣😭

I am laying in the bed laughing at you! That was some cruise you went on. However, I know what you are talking about with those water taxis in the Bahamas. I had followed another cruise vlogger and they would take the water taxis all the time. Truth be told it is a beautiful ride but scary as hell. I was looking for the life vest myself and what I saw was old vest and they only a handful. I was praying all the way. I can’t swim at all. I was scared and was not the only one who felt like me. That experience told me not to get on ever again,
I had an exit plan before I stepped foot on the boat lol.
I laughed so hard I was crying. You two are fabulous story tellers. On my first paid cruise to Alaska I paid for a Salmon Buffet excursion. It was AMAZING! I also prepaid for a full body massage because I didn’t know they would offer a special deal every day. But they allowed me to give the prepaid to my partner and I had an even better one. I was so glad to hear of her acupuncture experience because it happened to me at my physical therapists office and the doctor acted like I was crazy. Can’t wait to see what else you have to share.

🤣 I lucked out. Had my first cruise that was on Carnival. The only mistake I made was overpacking. We had the earliest time for embarkment (10a I believe) and was on lido taking pictures and with a drink in my hand by 11:30a. I read the Carnival information (what to bring, what is prohibited, etc) a million times and asked a million questions to my friend who has been on maybe dozens of cruises. Our room was right at the stairs and just above us was the theater area where they had shows which was mere steps from the lobby. Though pricey, I booked excursions through Carnival for the comfort of knowing that if there were issues getting back to port on time (like transportation) they would wait. I had a great time and would certainly do it again.

This story was scary and hilarious at the same time. Lol. I’ve only been on 1 cruise and that was 11 years ago. My parents paid for everything so now that I’m looking to book a cruise for my husband and myself I feel like I need to do all the research I can! I plan on binge watching y’all’s videos all weekend! Oh my goodness y'all having me cracking up. I've been cruising since 2010 .I can relate to all your stories. And yep in Atlantis my very first time a random guy pulls up next to my daughter and I to offer us a ride for 3.00, NOPE than the straw market was soooo scary. The ladies were yelling HEY pretty ladies I'm wheeling and dealing...NOPE On my 3rd cruise there was no less than 6 deaths of elderly . I absolutely love the way you tell stories . Keep cruising and enjoying your cruise your way

@@LifeWithUsTV yep one was awful. she was on our hall. she left her group having an asthma attack and died in the hall outside her room. I heard the emergency people running down the hall. she was the bus driver for a group . Two of the ladies of the group were seated at our table. I can confirm at least 4 of the deaths the others were rumors but probably true. One guy was I believe 90 years old died in his sleep. 2 heart attacks and 2 flown off the ship by helicopter. When we landed at one of the Islands we saw an ambulance arrive and remove a body to be flown home. The widow wanted to go home. I can understand this. My sister and I always have very adventure filled cruises.This cruise no one could quit talking about the deaths etc....

Wow! The last 2 or 3 cruises I just packed 1 under the seat carry on and one that fit in the overhead bin, and I still had a few things I didn't wear.
I'm hoping and praying that my 1st cruise in May goes much better than your 1st cruise. That was a "Mr. Murphy" type cruise. Whatever can go wrong will go wrong.

OMG!! I know that feeling of working 8 hours and having to find something to do. Not complaining though!!! 🤣🤣 The white van part took me out! But overall I’m happy you started cruising again!!
I am on the floor!!! My 1st cruise in 2007 was wonderful on RC. Thankfully I cruised with seasoned cruisers so I avoided some mess lol. We also lucked out and one of the NYC radio DJs was hosting the parties at the nightclub every night. While all my other cruises were also pretty good, the music for the parties has never been as good as it was in '07. I've only cruised RC and NCL and each have their pros and cons. But I love cruising!!!
My first cruise was with NCL around 2003, we wound up going through hurricane Bonnie! Our Capt Nemo thought it was a good idea to leave Bermuda ahead of the storm while all the other cruise lines waited. Needless to say it was 48 hours of hell! In the end all the other ships passed us heading into NYC!!!
