My husband and I went on our first cruise on the 24 of June… just last week. We were on the Carnival Glory and had a fantastic time. Everything was smooth sailing. Our travel agent informed us of everything and watching your videos sealed it all. I’m ready for the next one!! I love watching the both of you❤
That tip about the address and how you're getting there saved us. We drove into Charleston and what we did was a trial run to the port just to make sure. Had to watch a TH-cam video on how to enter because the signs weren't as helpful.
Not me watching and hearing the tip about the address to port , and then realizing I have absolutely no idea where my port is in August but Orlando 😂 I was gonna be panicking come the day before lol
I'm going on my 1st cruise this December. I prepaid my gratuities( I heard it was better than paying later), but I heard you should still give a tip to the cabin steward. i believe they're called? How much do you tip them on day 1 (when you 1st meet them) & do you tip them every day? If so, how much & what about on the last day (morning you're getting off ship)? How much then? I'm so confused when it comes to that.
I just got back from my cruise on Freedom (it was rocky but fun) but your videos did prepare me for the onboarding process. If I may add, please Invest in a large, rolling suitcase…. … one of them ones that practically rolls itself. Roll your carry on or use a backpack. You will never regret not holding all them thousands of bags
My family and I are taking a cruise in September. Some of us are first-timers, and I have been listening to you guys for information on what to bring. Thank you for all the information.
I’ve watched so many of y’all’s videos that you both feel like cousins! And your energy has me so hyped for my first cruise coming up! I downloaded the packing list and I’m all set! ❤
We went on our first cruise a couple weeks ago and drove from VA to FL. I loved driving down the day before to have a beach day and relax, it was great not having to drive through the port traffic and take the shuttle, I will pack less and let the porters take my luggage on the ship for me next time 😅 and I wish I had left some water in the car for when we got back to it.
That 1st tip is so important…I told my cousin and my nephews to download the app and OF COURSE neither one of them did, and we ended up having to use my phone for EVERYTHING. That got old QUICK
I don't see the sail away party hype...but then I'm over 70😊. I only cruised once and I missed the group party, but, I had my own party😅 while the ship took off. I will take your advice and attend when I sail on the Mardi Gras in '27 because I want to be close to The Bolt. I plan on riding it as soon as it opens every day!❤. BTW, Stanley...I love your beard. Yes, I am a pogonophile❤😊!
Great stuff! Y'all have a great way of talking about the embarkation process and preparing us for what could go wrong if you don't follow proper procedures. I'm going on my 1st cruise in 10 days, and although I'm going with other people that are experienced at cruising, it's helpful to get your insights and to learn from your mistakes. Thanks for the great tips. I'm going to re-watch this in case I missed something. Love your passion and your genuine concern for everyone to have a great cruise.
I do so much enjoy every video y'all put out. 1 thing, I'm always inclined to invent a travel Leatherman for Stanley after hearing how much y'all carry. 😊
Absolutely adore both of you! I've been watching lots of videos as my husband and I are going with a group in November. We're super excited. We've been to all-inclusives in Mexico, but we're excited to go cruising to the Bahamas this year. Your tip videos are fantastic, and I love that you explain the why for everything. So many give tips, but they don't fully explain anything. It's a lot easier to remember things if we know the why. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. ❤ you both!
Porters (longshoreman) is a 3rd party...... Carnival pays for them to be there ($75 an hour) so sure give them a tip but know they make $500 -$700 (in tips) plus their hourly wage a cruise!! In Miami they can make $2500 a week (in CASH)!!!
@@APerfectPerception I have a few friends that are longshoreman!! They tried to get me in awhile back, but I was hard headed...... Yes they get paid WELL. $75 an hour is to start. And then the CASH TIPS when they work cruise ships!! They rotate every month. They work at the B-more port.

I love watching y’all’s videos ❣️This is the best information my husband and I have gotten. We going on our first trip in February on the sunshine. I know it’s gonna be rocky so we got a balcony room in the middle of the ship. Going on a 6 day trip. Can I bring 2 suitcases and can it be the 24”?
Question for ya. With online check in. If you choose cash as your form of payment, do you need to go to guest services on embarkation day(yikes!) or is there an easier way to add? Thanks, y'all!
I keep seeing videos with people saying to make reservations for shows and the roller coaster ahead of time. Is that done through the app and how early before the cruise can you do that? I don’t see anywhere in the app where I can do that. I am 33 days away from sailing. 23:04
@@christinewilson9404 - a backpack is easiest to lug around. If you have a roller suitcase someone will have to stay with it while you’re getting food or dancing. Rooms open at one so you may not have long to wait if you have later times.
Hi! Thanks for your awesome videos and guidance! I’m leaving on carnival magic on Sunday. I don’t see the link to Lyft discount. Am i overlooking it? Thank you!
Hello I have a rookie cruiser question: When the ship docks at the port outside the US (Bahamas, etc), do you bring your passport with you to gain entry into the new country for your excursions, etc? Some people have told me to keep my passport locked in safe in my room, but how do I gain entry into a country outside the US from the ship without a passport on hand? Doesn't Customs stamp your passport once you leave the ship?
Yall are a hot mess ! I am booking my first cruise based on your tips. And yes- I am the one that did not want to go on a Cruise because of the Titanic. I will be the first person at Muster -upfront, telling everyone else to hush and will take notes !

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CHOOSE TO BOARD?
I say around 1pm
Question for ya. With online check in. If you choose cash as your form of payment, do you need to go to guest services on embarkation day(yikes!) or is there an easier way to add? Thanks, y'all!
Yes. That’s the only way if you intend to spend $$ on day 1.

Yes

Only available once onboard
This is me looking at my watch at 1 lololol my room gotta be ready now 😂😂😂 sneaks through door okay I promise I’ll stop lol
Do you give your carry on to the porters? First time sailing on Carnival in August.
No. Carry on= carry it on
If you do, make sure you have your boarding pass, medication and a change of clothes.
The reason I asked is because Lynette mentioned you don’t want to drag your stuff around with you until your cabin is ready.
