Damn it, I just realized that I totally forgot the obligatory sax solo fml.
Is this a common thing in DJENT? I didn't realize any band had done it other than tesseract on altered states with Chris barretto
@@Unanythang Periphery also did it on Wildfire
This is actually a really good lesson in djent song writing
Yeah, I‘m following these instructions right now. Super useful!
All these generic writing ones are. This guy is severely underrated
That guitar neck editing in the thumbnail is underated.
I'd love to see a generic metalcore video as well
Will definitely come.
as soon as i heard you say polyrhythm and saw modern day babylon as an example! i have looked so hard for ANYTHING on how to do what they do, thanks so much brother!!
Holy shit I wish I had the talent for writing like this guy. Incredible.
This video and your composing abilities are insanely HUGE! 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Wow dude I don’t know how you ended up in my recommendations feed but this stuff is amazing keep it coming!
Love it. Lyrics are priceless.
I thought this had 250,000 veiws not 250, which it should I have.
I actually like the song and not even out of spite since its better than all of the things I've written so far
Don't be harsh to yourself. I'm doing songwriting for like 12 years now. Keep going and you'll improve, as in all things. ;)
@@Bosmek why are you so cute?
"If you use any amp and pedal combination OTHER than the tubescreamer into a Mesa Boogie, then.... ENJOY YOUR CRUCIFIXION YOU EFF-ING HERETIC!" This lesson is amazing. Thank you so much for your post. Very, VERY entertaining as well!
Great video & song!! Excited for your next one!!
lol the band is called plurals
Bosmek for president. Freaking TH-cam Gold in the making.
Just found your channel. So underrated!!
That was really interesting, keep doing this!
A perfect djentleman!
Glad I found you
Would love to learn more about your setup and sounds
DAW: Studio One (in this video 2, now 5)
AmpSim: TH-U Metal (the one from Overloud)
DrumSampler: GGD Modern and Massive
Interface: Line6 UX1 (cause who needs more than 2 inputs lol)
What else can I tell you? Rest is years of trial and error and graduating TH-cam tutorial University.^^
I was about to be getting into djent and this video really helps me understand a lot about the genre thank you
I’d love to see it on Spotify!
Soundcloud is the best I can do.^^
You can download it there, if you want.
I LOVE this :). BTW, I am very interested in the visualizer. Could you please make a video on how to create that kind of thing? The online visualizers usually suck are are too expensive for what they do. Thanks a million and big kudos!
Hey, sorry, totally forgot to answer. The most interesting thing is the EQ thingy, thats actually a scope coming with the Izotope Ozone plugin. I just screencap't the whole thing and kinda keyed it out in post. So it's not an actual visualizer plugin. The rest is just some basic photoshop and Davinci Fusion particle FX, really simple stuff actually. :)
We love some good old dgeneric djent 🖤
hey man nice 1!
do u know any good free plugins for the Bass beside of guitar rig? also any good metal drums plugins? (i use ML Drums which is fire but still)
You mean Bass amps? Not really tbh, the amp sim side is something where I allways stuck to paid software from the getgo. And I don't have experience with bass libraries.
For the drums, it depends what sound you want to go for. For the fat djenty stuff, GGD is pretty neat and not too expensive.
Very cool! I am intersted by a masteclass for how to make a Djent track 👍
But like the riffs are actually goated though
Ha! Djeneric Djent!

Happy to see DjOnT
nice breakdown
New to the channel but this sounds so djenty!!!
This is genius.
Bleagh! xD
this is pretty sick lol you make it ssem so easy lol'
how do u get the Rhythm guitar tone so tight
my eight string feels so floppy and loose
lol u answered it later in the vid 👍
@@ChuckEldon Also it can't be overstated how important it is to somewhat regularily restring your guitar. Especially the lowest strings on the 8-String get dirty and floppy relativley fast, since they have the most surface area where dirt, sweat and cells can stick to. I restring about twice a year, or right before an important recording/gig, using mostly the strandberg boden optimized .084 -.009 strings, since they are super cheap. Also having the lowest string extra thick (and I think the strandbergs .084 is the thickest out there) helps a lot when you want to convey that tightness while tuning them down to drop E. I struggled with floppy sounding 8-strings for years as well and tried quite a few stringsets, so I totally know what you mean haha, hope it helps. :)
Dude this slams 😂
Organic subscriber here
Please do a glassjaw style song...This is great.
Dont know them tbh but from what I'm hearing right now that would fall under the general category of somewhat mathcore/mathmetal right? Thats definitely on the list. ;)
hahaha! this is awesome generic content!
^^ you’re underrated
Yeah I know. :3
Get a 10 string guitar tuned down to double drop z
thall
Man you're funny as fuck, you deserve more than 415 subs haha
and your band's great, great mixing on that album
@@highseervehk Thank you! We did the mix ourself but got a professional to master it. He really punched out that extra 10% of thickness haha.
Djent is only for Djenious🤘🤘
Djeneric djent?
Djent is just death core, with 17 string guitars, instead of 7.
My description for djent is: ''that heavy thing I love that isn't quite nu metal and tim henson and tosi abasi play, although I prefer it when no one plays it''
doap ;p
sounds exactly like northlane lmao
How bad for Northlane then. :D
@@Bosmek no its not bad at all, I loved it!
Plurals lol
*djeneric
Was all good until whatever it you belched into that mic
Thats like, your opinion, man.
