A buddy visiting from Montana was just telling me about a friend of his that has goats. He got a bunch of concrete slabs from a construction project. He stacked them up with his forklift and excavator. Made a climbing mountain for his goats. They loved it!
Mike...we never miss what we never had. We had no cell phones, video games, utube, and so many tv stations that you can watch anything anytime, day or night. We had the great outdoors for our adventures. I loved it!!! Playing in old Hogtown creek (Gville Fl.) To shooting dove with neighborhood kids behind the old farm supply store (The Rancher) after school. 13, 14, yr olds walking through the neighborhood with shotguns on our shoulders heading to our next adventure without anyone blinking an eye! Today, parents in jail, kids in jail, and community in an uproar. Yes things have changed. Shotguns in back windows of trucks is gone...and well so is kids playing outdoors...at least in the small towns and cities. 😢
I was also born in 1951, my first 6 years was spent at Sweet Springs WV. At that time it was a prison work farm. My dad worked in the Admin office, we lived on the prison grounds. There was around 20 little kids to play with. We had the whole farm to play on. Look up Sweet Springs, it had a lot of history.
Hi Mike, Happy Birthday to Eva. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I have a brother a year younger (I'm 72) and when we were kids, after breakfast, we would head outside and my mother wouldn't see us until lunch. After lunch the same until it was time for dinner. I never asked my mother if she worried about us being away and out of sight. Stay safe.
I couldn't wait to be an adult and be out of school and now at 64 I wish I was a kid again after watching Mike's channel and Josh & Erins and Trent & Allies and other ones like those.
The first time them goats jump up on top of Melissa’s Yukon Denali, you won’t think they are so cute! We have had goats in the past… yup, came home one day and found them out of the fence and on top of all the vehicles. No more goats!
Or you’re setting up for your 1 year olds birthday party when your neighbors 2 goats escape and decide to come on your front porch. We quickly took the glass storm door off which turned out to be very prudent as they proceeded to ram our wooden front door and eventually cracked it. Very memorable 1st birthday. It wasn’t long after that he got rid of them lol.
Goats eat anything and everything. Impossible to keep them in most fencing. UPS and FedEx packages are always at risk. My goats completely consumed my cardboard Farm Use truck tags right off my truck.
Happy Birthday Eva. Your mom and dad really have their priorities together. Mike thank you for your very useful knowledge that you demi straight each episode.
The Clubhouse is what you should name that building. Not only is it used for your videos, but it's a multi purpose building for family and friend events. The Clubhouse fits perfectly imo.
I spent 95% of my childhood outside. Now 60 yrs later I am the same way. If it's daylight I am outside with always something to do. I work like you Mike. I'll work big projects 3-4 hrs a day or maybe 5 until I complete the task. Seldom do I work sunrise to sunset on any one project unless the timing is critical. I believe your new shed build will be fine. I built my 40x60 pole barn in a similar manner and it has been up 22 yrs and stood up against 4 hurricanes. Thanks for the video and have a Happy New Year.
Mike I agree with you on your Grandkids growing up outdoors and with being outside on your property and their property. My memories were mostly outdoors with the old Italian man that was a family friend at his property riding on the old crank to start steel wheeled tractor and picking up the eggs and feeding the animals. Knocking the Walnuts and watching them go through the hulling machine. I spent many days with him and learning from him on his little farm. I would not trade my childhood for nothing. Great memories and my Dad was VP of a large construction company that did underground and grading and road work. So I feel your kids and Grandkids are very blessed to grow up in an outdoor loving family. Hope you all have a blessed 2025.
I grew up enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoyed things like roller skating with my friends at the local rink. I enjoyed DeMolay, which had lots of outdoor activities as well as some indoors like our dances. I don't want to leave out the most important Church. I guess what I'm saying, don't limit yourself to anything!
So many people don’t think about the future or the legacy they leave behind. One thing I can say is that you have and are leaving a legacy for you children to build on and hopefully it continues to grow into bigger and better things in their future . For me I loved working and building things that I can use and hopefully my children use and pass down so that they can pass down to their children and continue to use . It’s not always about me . When I got injured I thought it’s over I’m done, in reality it was a huge set back but I continue even through the pain , when you love doing things that sets things up for future and it let’s your future continue in the right path it’s all worthwhile. Even in the pain . So I say press on ! Never give up and never give in !
Shed is looking really good, well done. My pole barn has headers setup the same way and has been through several hurricanes without issue. I work the same way and even stop for lunch now that I’m retired. I used to have to work projects from sun up to dark on days off in order to get things done. I make a long list of things to get done. That way I have my pick depending on weather and what sounds like what I’m in mood to get done. The “have to do” list usually isn’t as inspiring as the “want to do” list.
Good morning Morgans and friends. Same weather forecast here Mike. For the most part what weather we have today, will be your weather tomorrow. Total washout here again today. Looking forward to a freeze up again. Mike i definitely would put a cpl foot overhang with angle on front of shed. You'll be more then happy you did! Hope everyone has a great and safe Sunday and we'll see you all down the road.....thanks
I just have to agree w you, Mike. I like the way you get stuff done, too! You've kept your channel on my #1 spot of my favorite channels for 6 years. I wish, hope, and pray you stay there for another 6 years. Ouch!!! One commenter said they had goats till one day they came home and found they had gotten out and were on top of their cars!! Not good. I've commented here before how I, like Ty will, grew up in a forest. It was my playground. I had 2 tree houses, a zip line, a rope swing over the creek we dug out far a swimming hole, and a rock fort. In '69 we moved. Came back in '75, and the forest was now Lecho Park. A huge housing development. Lots of memories there. I do envy Ty. He's got a great dad and grandpa and a forest to grow up in. You've already mentioned making the mini cabin their play house. Man, do they have it made in the shade!! Thank you, Mike. I love your channel!!👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
From North Idaho, our current weather is about the same as yours! Yep I remember the best activities for me growing up were outdoors, riding bikes, going fishing all day without cell phones where we were just on our own, going to our lake cabin, hiking, swimming, building forts, just a great time growing up! We have goats that eat MOST everything, there are just a few things they don't touch, but yeah they'll eat most everything, even poison ivy! I'm like you when working around the property, I'm not fast but I'm steady and usually methodical. I'm still using firestarter from last winter, glad I was able to stock up so early!
first off, I hope you and your wonderful family had a great Christmas and will have a happy New Year. You sir are a very methodical person. You don't waste time rushing into projects, you think them through and get them done right. I wish more people were like you [think D.C.] Most importantly HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVA!!! 😊 Can't forget the Huntman., hope you have the best days in the world ! ! ! Richard from NW Oklahoma
Your food plot is looking amazing. The house had to be kept clean and tidy, kids were strongly encouraged to find amusement outside and that's just how it was. Happy Birthday to daughter Eva.
Mike thanks for another great video. Please tell Eva Happy Birthday. Hunter is a lucky young man to have such wonderful parents and family to help him out. Happy New Year to the Morgan family.
Been using Timberlok products for years on my outdoor projects. They all superior to anything else I've tried for many applications. Thanks for sharing!
Yup , outside . Grew up in rural upper westchester NY. Lived on a lake, boating and bass fishing . Walked the Mianus river gorge to explore . Had a nice 12 speed bike, went all over the place. Built a tree house . No TV or video games then.
Like your take on the growing up in the "outside" environment. I think it is part of what is wrong with the youth of today, they are too house bound and do not develop the creative and imaginative part of their mental ability. I like you was outside more than inside and doing things with my hands. Maybe that contributed to my career as a Civil Eng. Love your videos keep them coming. Terry & Diane in MN with a LT40 and love running it at 78
In you life you have so many obligations to family and your facilities, it's a real treat to have you allow us a peek into your life. For that we thank you and hope all goes well in 2025. God Bless, and a Happy New Year!
Good morning Mike. Just wanna thank you for all the great videos helps me start all my mornings with a cup of Joe and a little bit of the Morgan family. By the way, you’re editing skills are improving tremendously! 👍🏽

Nice video Mike. I really like the way that drill has NO trouble with the 4" screws, in green lumber, at all. You move pretty fast, for a one man operation, trying to balance the heavy green lumber can get tricky. Love all the "Morgan" videos. Sometimes i go back and catch those way back that i missed thanks :) ❤💯🙏

"I should have set the headers on the posts..." If you fronted the posts with some 2 by - material, then it would be "on the post". Also, those 2 by 4's under the headers would be good on a shed in my yard, with equipment moving in and out, as a sacrificial piece. They'd be easy to replace if I dinged them up with something coming in or out of the shed a little too high.😂
Great video Love how the Goats follow young un’s all over What wonderful pets & youngsters too Happy New Year to all the family Happy New Year Best of everything in 2025 💕🕊️👌👍
Goats make amazing pets! We had 3 when my "kids" were young. They love to climb so I put some skids in a plie and put plywood on top to make a platform for them to stand on.
yes its raining,,,i like those screws your using,,there not cheap..i built my place with nothing but screws..love those saws to ,,i got both, the 20 volt and the 12 volt..there very handy..when your building..its nice when you can make your own boards...well im making Chili...getting ready for the cold weather again..be careful man..and Happy Birthday to Eva..

Thanks for sharing your grandkids & the goats. I like the way you're proceeding with the new construction and the way you're doing it. Prayers for you and family ☝ 🙏 🙌 in Jesus's Name. Be safe, strong, discerning, healthy and successful. Have a very happy New Year. Keep it coming brother. 🎯💯% I do enjoy you and Melissa. 😊
Mike: I grew up in military housing where you were watched for everything you do and say. I swore that my children would not have to live like that. We bought a house in the country and they were outside most of the day. We lived by a river where they could swim and fish. The pup was always with them too. Nice to see the shed is still coming along. Using your own wood is great. Take care and stay safe.
A buddy visiting from Montana was just telling me about a friend of his that has goats. He got a bunch of concrete slabs from a construction project. He stacked them up with his forklift and excavator. Made a climbing mountain for his goats. They loved it!

At my age, born in 1951, I spend a goodly portion of my time looking back over my life.
Almost every memory is of things I did outside.

I have been through there. I thought I was still in Virginia.
Nice mountains.
22:25 the epic tune is : OUTRUN by LYNNEA. Excellent tune Mike, thx!

Running around in the woods being kids actually brought a tear to my eye. I miss it so badly. Thanks for the memories.

Yes, that is a favorite thing for them to do. Major scratching of the paint job. That happened to us.
They'd be in the freezer 😊
LOL My sister had goats years ago. I had a 442 OLDS convertible with a goat leg hole in the canvas top.

Mike, my motto is:
“I’m not very good, but I sure am slow”. I like your work and your videos.
Happy birthday Eva!
And a Happy New Year to all of the Morgans, and the viewers of this channel.
That shed in the clearing will make a great ground blind! Beautify job on that thing as usual!😊

Good morning from Vermont were not all woke up here.
You are so right about kids growing up outdoors doing things or using their imagination - minimum screen time too!
Man, you are a wizard with that camera. Good stuff.
Love the storage shed. I’m taking notes for when I build mine. Good stuff.
Great Sunday morning video. All my childhood memories started from my mom saying “get outside and play” 👍
Hello Mike from the pacific northwest, doesn't matter how slow or fast, as long as you are having a good time when you are working.
Your program is a great gift of what it is to be an american. Thanks!
Mike thanks for another great video. Please tell Eva Happy Birthday. Hunter is a lucky young man to have such wonderful parents and family to help him out. Happy New Year to the Morgan family.
Perfect morning to watch another great video from the Morgan’s!!
Been using Timberlok products for years on my outdoor projects. They all superior to anything else I've tried for many applications. Thanks for sharing!
Amen on kids growing up outside my friend. I preached today about the difference in today vs the old days. God bless you guys.
When you’re working on your own place it’s enjoyable to take your time , I love those projects and good tools !
Being outside gives kids a great immune system too! God bless the entire Morgan family and all of the animals too!

Good Sunday morning y'all !!! Have a great day, best to all the Morgan family and fans in 2025 !!!
Hello from British Columbia
Good morning Mike
I love your shows. I love doing woodworking as well like I do making wooden trains, cars and so much more. I do make outdoor furniture. I do have an autistic grandson 7 yrs old. I am glad I am watching your shows cause it makes me feel proud of seeing people that cares and giving for others I do it the same way. I am a volunteer firefighter for 35 years.
Always enjoy your videos Mike, outdoor projects without deadlines are like therapy for me. See you on the next video.
Shed is really looking good Mike!
Incremental time allocation is the reality for most of us. Life is to be lived after all!!!
Great job ,❤❤❤ gravel work.
enjoy your family gathering today and have a great New Year. Make 2025 a great one! Sid C
I agree that you miss a lot by being raised in a city. After all, I have never noticed that in the summer, no one has a summer camp in the city. I might be wrong, but I have seen many summer camps advertised for rural areas.
You have a great life and schedule
Good Sunday morning Mike and Melissa! Have a fantastic day! Happy belated birthday Eva!
Good Morning Ted, Mr. First! 👍
Happy birthday, Eva. That was a neat intro with the grandkids and the goats. They will grow up with acres of land to exployer and all kinds of equipment to play/work with.
Thank you for the video.
Great video Mike. Happy Birthday to Eva. That building is looking good. Tell everyone Happy New Year. 👍❤️
I’d put a 2 x 10 on the inside of the front post as well
Happy belated Birthday Eva and Hi Hunter! Appreciate your videos Mike; keep up the good work! Have a Happy New Year Morgan’s & OWTM fans!
Good morning Morgans! A build like this is definitely in my near future. We recently acquired our dream place with a little land. It currently has no place appropriate for storing wood, and we have a duel fuel boiler furnace, fireplace and wood stove. So definitely need to get something for wood storage put together. And firewood is just plain enjoyment - heats ya twice and a workout with a good purpose instead of the gym.
My neighbor has 2 goats and they get up on my trailers skid steers and on back of my trucks. So far they not got on hood or top of cab but i am waiting on the day they do. They do eat anything. Building is coming along. Have a great day be safe
Mike, like they say everything will get done all in due time another excellent video and work 😮😊❤
Happy kids !!
Good morning! Shed build is looking good.
Wow! The beginning of this video made me smile. Happy kids, goats were happy, the dog was happy. Very good.
"明けましておめでとうございます" (Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu) from my family to yours
Happy birthday Eva hope you have a wonderful birthday just like you are a person
Very cool intro.
Happy B Day!
Enjoy your videos, blessings
Awesome Shed! Great Work!
I agree Mike. I grew up isolated and off grid. Moved to a different province and the city for work when I got married. There’s no comparison the freedom you have out in the country.
Good Sunday morning, Morgan's and friends . Thank you for the great video!! 100% true statement on outdoors and memories ! Have a great day, everyone!! Let's hope and pray that 2025 is the start of a banner year / start to get our country jumpstarted and back on track!!!
Excellent mike cheers 🥂 😊
Hi Mike, my husband watches and enjoys your channel very much. He has an idea to share. Each of my attachments are on specifically built pallets. I find it very convenient to fork the pallet with the attachment of choice to remove from the barn and to put them away. -Brad Palmer ( we met you up to the Woodsmen Field Days in Boonville in August of 2023.)
The most effective path to learning is to experience nature directly. There is no substitute. The ability to learn is triggered by the curiosity about the world that we live in and the sooner that children are exposed to it the better.
In my opinion it’s the best way to raise kids and learn things most kids are sitting inside on their phones and it’s not good . 😊
That kolpin rack on the can-am is looking good.
"I should have set the headers on the posts..." If you fronted the posts with some 2 by - material, then it would be "on the post". Happy New Year to all the family
Happy New Year
Best of everything in 2025 💕🕊️👌👍
Beautiful kids, young and old!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂 Eva!
I've used timber lock to fasten 4 4x4 into a square of OAK cut on my property. The oak takes that but not epoxy coated screws without holes.
Happy birthday Eva. 🎉
Always enjoy your videos!

Your time management is amazing! Not sure I could juggle as many projects as you do! Great job! Happy New Year Morgan family.
The best ever intro of one of your videos.
Shed construction looking good!
