Oh also here's the download for my brush pack, its been up on my tumblr for a while I just forgot to put it on my yt. It's not completely up to date anymore, but this is pretty much everything I use drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/14FdlbPLXErs2myzCeL2RyNqGA5iw9hJ5
Omg, thank you so much! I’ve been trying to study how you draw dragons and this helps soooo much, your anatomy is amazing and keep up the great work! Also thanks for showing the brushes, that helps a lot too!
One of the biggest takeaways I have gotten from your videos in general is the eyebrow Ridge acts along with the eye. Gives so much weight to the dragon's expressions. Cheers
Thank you so much Aegean. It’s great to see the process you use. I’ve been having trouble drawing the heads the way I would like to so this helps a lot.
First off, this is one of the most helpful tutorials I’ve watched. It’s very short and simple but gets the point across. Could you maybe do a tutorial on how to color dragons better? The way you do it makes it look textured but at the same time smooth and it implies the scales without actually drawing every single one. Also I love the way you draw faces.
OKAYOKAYOKAY 1: This is gonna be sooooo helpful, Especially with proportions I struggle so much with making them look like they won’t faceplant when they stand up 2: In the description it said specific parts so if you decide to in the future claws/talons (I never remember which one means hand and which is like fingers) would be amazing or mouths and teeth and stuff, since the arms and mouths seem to be some of the most expressive parts of at least your dragons (Alongside the eyes but those are mostly eyebrow work I think)
"The great thing about that, is dragons aren't real" That was probably the best basic tip people won't understand until they start! I draw more OC-type dragons than WOF dragons now, but I definitely could've used this in my WOF phase!
your style has inspired me so much. i don’t know where i would be with my drawings now if it weren’t for you and other artists, but really it’s especially you. as soon as i saw your art, it has forever caught my attention and whenever i see your art anyway i want to jump with joy. i still have so much to improve on when it comes to drawing dragons and here your saying your not good! everyone is amazing at what they draw no matter the skill because that is your drawing. it’s amazing cause it’s unique, no one can make the exact same replication of that piece. thank you so much for giving me so much inspiration for drawing dragons because it has made me make story’s which bring me joy ❤
This is super cool! I really like a tutorial like this, especially hearing your voice, (which if you had any doubts sounds great-) it really is a good look into your process. ❤
I would love a tutorial on the finer details of the face and how to draw their expressions. I’ve always loved the way you draw the eyebrows, the heads feel chunky and real like the head of a paleo accurate tyrannosaurus
Ive been stuck in an art block for quite a bit since Ive been having trouble with drawing the head from more angles, and this helped tons! My next struggle has been general coloring and rendering- yours is beautiful and it would be great to see what your process is!
i would absolutely love to see a video explaining your shading / lighting process! i’ve always struggled with where to put shadows / highlights and which colours to use, so a tutorial on that would be incredibly helpful :3
You have NO CLUE how much I squealed when I saw this… I’ve been conducting a style study on you for about a week and a half!!!! I LOVE your art dearly and I look up to you in a lot of ways… You actually got me back into drawing dragons after being in a slump for a bit… and I’m finally picking up the books again to finish the series! Thank you aegean you’re amazing 🩷
glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't use a square/circle to draw the snout lol, and from this video I realized that knowing the brow line on the downwards facing dragon really helps, so thanks!!
Thank you so much Aegean! I think this video was great. You've been a top favorite artist of mine for a very long time, and I just love how you draw dragons (and even other creatures!)
I didnt actually realize how similar my process is to yours until this, the only difference I can find is that I make the "foot" thinner and make a triangle for the pelvis so they have that pelvic bone dinosaurs have. I find that really cool, though im definitely much more mediocre at drawing than you lol
So glad you made a tutorial, i love your style! Showing how you do the 3/4 profile really helped, so did the brow line and alternatives to a boxy snout style. I will definitely be using those tips!
You may remember me from your DMs as "Lumithrax", I really appreciate it that you took your time to actually make this video! I cannot express how thankful I am for this, drawing dragons with your explenation makes it so much easier ^^ Edit: Also, I couldn't quite figure out on my own how to draw the eye and eyebrow area. I'm sure that others would have such problem
The front half of how we draw dragons is pretty similar, and then the back half I base off of a cat. But seeing how you draw your legs. YUMMY don’t mind if I do. *politely borrows* Also happy new years!!!
I think biggest things I struggle with the most, both in general and in the case of dragons; are the feet, eye shape, and general face shape. I would love a more in depth explanation/demo of how you draw dragon feet because out of the three I listed, I think I struggle with those the most
Ooo Now I understand much better! I noticed I draw the sketch a bit more similiar to you than I tought Also, could you make a video about how you draw hands? Im a total idiot at that part lol
This video made my day. thank you. :) "I'm definitely not very good at like anatomy or drawing dragons in general" please, lol. over the last year of me obsessing over learning how to draw dragons, my artstyle has developed into something that is largely based off your art (but still doesn't come anywhere close to as good... goals amirite?) I don't think i'm alone either if all the comments are any indication lol. With regards to specific parts of your process, I'm super interested in how you draw such good expressions, as the dragon's face is something I struggle with a lot. Also, if possible, it'd be awesome if you could elaborate on how you draw talons (should they be more like hands? more like paws? is there a big difference between front and back talons? I have absolutely no idea). thanks again :)
very helpful !! not only your structure is beautiful but i (and many others lol) have noticed your painting is spectacular, to say the least. do you have any tips for lighting or getting better at value?
Oh also here's the download for my brush pack, its been up on my tumblr for a while I just forgot to put it on my yt. It's not completely up to date anymore, but this is pretty much everything I use

Now I’m going to make 100,000 Quinter drawings 🤑
Omg, thank you so much! I’ve been trying to study how you draw dragons and this helps soooo much, your anatomy is amazing and keep up the great work!
Also thanks for showing the brushes, that helps a lot too!

"I'm not that good at drawing dragons" WHAT?! If you're not good, I'm trash, dude

I have to say, one of my favorite parts of how you draw dragons is definitely the head shape you usually do! Nice tutorial!
What art program do you use? Looks really in depth and of good quality. Also, amazing art Aegean
Looks like procreate
It’s procreate. It cost $10.00 USD but it’s worth it.
0:07 NOOOOO THEY ARE AHHHHHHH
(Screams in delulu)
But seriously I love your style
I love how you paint could you please do something on that??? 🥺
Clever trick creating a muzzle guiding line before drawing the muzzle. It makes them feel more three-dimensional.

Your style is so magical, its my favorite WoF art style, its recognizable and GORGEOUS 😆
Simple yet actually easy to follow even for someone like myself who hasn’t drawn in ages! Thanks!
Ive been stuck in an art block for quite a bit since Ive been having trouble with drawing the head from more angles, and this helped tons! My next struggle has been general coloring and rendering- yours is beautiful and it would be great to see what your process is!
Aegean you have inspired me from the first time I ever saw your art and seeing how you draw is so cool thank you for sharing your tips with us!
Stopping by to say that your rendering is very pretty. Perhaps another tutorial could be on the basics of rendering?
I have learned so much from a five minute video
Thanks so much.
i would absolutely love to see a video explaining your shading / lighting process! i’ve always struggled with where to put shadows / highlights and which colours to use, so a tutorial on that would be incredibly helpful :3
To be honest there is no wrong way to draw just a preference. No need to have low confidence you should be proud you found a style you like ^w^
This has been very helpful, thank you! You have a nice style that feels both smooth and natural.
You have NO CLUE how much I squealed when I saw this… I’ve been conducting a style study on you for about a week and a half!!!! I LOVE your art dearly and I look up to you in a lot of ways…

glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't use a square/circle to draw the snout lol, and from this video I realized that knowing the brow line on the downwards facing dragon really helps, so thanks!!
