Light furies are not night furies, they are a sub species. He never went to an island full of night furies. Toothless is literally the only night fury in the franchise. Unless you count Hiccup's drawing. He had a female light fury get his attention so Toothless would fall in love.
Toothless and hiccup were so perfect together so much so that their desendants met hundreds of years later and toothless' desendant was a lighting dragon because of toothless' evolution (Name:Dragon-The Nine realms)

If we ignore that, we get on to the main reason. Wings produce lift by pushing off of air. because of this, they physically can never reach the sound barrier. To break it, you need something like a jet or rocket. wing tips can potentially break the sound barrier but this will only act like a whip. The thing flying won't ever be able to.
The only problem is his kids are hybrids. The Light Furies are a sub species, or possibly the other way around. What ever the case may be, the younglings are not pure Night Furies.

U didnt sepecuate much anatomy here. I wanna know how this dragon breaths Fire/Plasma. In Dragons a fanasty made real they had the gasbladders + chewing flint to spark their fire. In dragonology it mentioned flamable venom + spark pouch. HTTYD mentions different types of fire/lava/gas etc..per dragon species but not with with Fury.
Others consider that the live-action will just be the exact same thing as the first movie, with no changes to the dialogue. It is just a live-action with the human characters, while the dragons are just CGI.
