1st Round Kennedy attacked Novati while on the canvas.
2nd round - while in the clinch Kennedy physically turned Novati to face the ropes. Kennedy elbowed Novati on the back of Novati's head.
09:27 Kennedy put Novati on the canvas (neutral corner) and attempted to knee Novati in the face. Kennedy then proceeded to argue with the ref!
10:25 Kennedy forced Novati to face the ropes and followed through with an elbow to the back of Novati's head.
10:49 Novati went for a waist hold lowered his head and guess what Kennedy elbowed Novati again.
11:09 Kennedy elbow to Novati's spine.
    11:11 - 2 elbow strikes - back of Novati‘s head.
The bout was a demonstration of: poor self-control and disrespect for our National Sport.
    Kennedy should have been disqualified.

turning your back on your opponent It is equivalent to giving up in a clinch fight in Muay Thai. Whether it's kicking or punching a lot, but turning your back when clinching. Because Muay Thai has knee boxing style

Muay Thai attacking backwards is not wrong.

It would appear that rules of Muay Thai today are different than I was taught by Phra Kru Ba Neua Chai, ( Fighting Monk) at the Wat Phra Archa Tong a Buddhist Monastery in Northern Thailand. As our teacher and spiritual leader under Phra Kru Ba Muay Chaiya we learnt as novice monks, the arts of Muay Chaiya, Muay Sangha and Muay Muay Lopburi together they were a combat style of Muay. For me the five years I spent at the Wat Phra Archa Tong were not wasted in later life. What those five years really taught was honor, respect for family, friends and opponents. Apologies for the length of tnhed reply - hán.

Whether it's Muay Thai or K1 the rules are: no strikes to the back of the head or spine. The ref should have knocked three points of for each illegal strike - '9 points'. A classic and blatant disregard of the rules of Muay Thai.

If you fight muay thai, you have to face your opponent in the clinch, if you turn around everytime he starts striking, its your fault

Seems like the ref didn't know it was a Muay Thai fight & thought it was k1 or something...

    เหมือนเสือเล่นกับเหยื่อ(ห่างชั้นเกินไป)
