I'm very excited about 2025! I'm currently doing the 2025 declutter challenge & have made so much progress. My #1 goal is to finish as many UFOs as possible this year. I love you Christen but it's not just women that sew & quilt. Happy New Year & Happy Sewing ❤️🧵🪡
I’m using some of my favorite fabrics and making shower curtain for my guest bathroom. This way I can see them and enjoy them instead of them being hidden in my sewing room. I use large blocks or 1/8 quarters and my serger to piece them and add a top with button holes for the shower hooks. I always have a shower curtain liner behind my creation. If I have scraps leftover I add to a hand towel to hang in there too
I want to finish my Bigfoot quilt to the quilter by the end of this month. I have all of the trees made. I like your idea of one basket at a time. Makes organizing so doable in my head.
Hi Christen. Once again, 7 minutes worth of inspiration. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.. AND...To let you know. I FOUND the fabric for the binding!!!! It's the circles that I used on the outer borders. I forgot that I had enough of it to make the binding.. I was so excited.
I usually have the time, but I don't always manage it well 😉. I've done very well so far...quilted 5 Hospice quilt TOPS so far that I sewed last year. Yeah for me!!
Here in Rosebud, TX, our little fabric shop, The Fabric Barn, have started a sewing day for a handful of us gals who work from home and/or are fairly new to town or to sewing who need that encouragement and support. My WIPs go with me. Organizing my sewing room is a huge goal for me. I get so overwhelmed!
Want to learn new techniques. Use the fabric I already have. Plan to do three quilts this year. Don’t ever have UFOs. I just can’t leave something unfinished. Love your videos.❤🎉
Happy New Year! My goal is to use up my stash 🤠 and use scraps & leftovers to make Project LInus quilts. Thanks for the inspiring video, also need to organize my sewing area (which is my grown son's old bedroom,,,rather a hot mess at the moment) Carry on Sister 😍💃
I always use my stash unless I really need a specific size or color! I am going to learn FMQ this year!! I finally graduated to a new, fancy embroidery combo Brother NQ3700D 2 years ago and I am trying to retire so I can just sew!! Love your videos!
Happy New Year, I am retired and have less time than before. I got my sewing room 3/4 organized. I am waiting on cash to get clear refrigator shelve organizers to finish getting my fabric completed.
Last week we were snowed in a very unusual event in my little corner of the universe. I ruthlessly packed large fabric scraps, orphan blocks small partial quilts and sent them to a charity overseas. I could not find an organisation in my country to take them. I'm self-taught. The biggest mistake I made was thinking the experts had all the answers I regret cutting yardage into what they term useful cuts. 2025 I've decided to make simple quilts. Christen, your advice is sensible. Happy creativity for 2025.
I am quilting 1 quilt, 2/3s of the way done. Then I have a twin size top that I need to quilt. Then, I think I will stick to table runners, pillows, etc. I'm 65 so I don't plan on making anymore large quilts. I did finish a king size this past year. I quilt them on a regular sewing machine & embroidery machine. Your binding tutorial definitely helped make binding much easier. Thank you
I'm currently working on getting my fabric folded on comic book boards and organized on my new bookshelves. I NEED to see my stash so I can shop from it more often.
I’m finally learning how to use a long arm thanks to a sweet lady allowing me to use her machine, so my goal this year is to finally finish some of my quilt tops. I’m aiming for 1 a month, wish me luck 🤣
Hi Kristin I got my new long arm but would love to learn paper piecing, and advance my quilting. I would love to meet quilters non around me , hoping to retire then join some groups
I want to learn how to applique but not raw edge I want to learn the kind there you stitch and flip so quilt can be used and wash. What's the best product to do that type of applique? Would love a video on that ty Christen
"Organize one basket, one shelf at a time"
The most practical and manageable advice. Thank you, Christen ❤
You are so welcome! Happy organizing! 🧺
I am a fabric collector 😊 I just love fabric!!! I see it and have to have it. 😅
We've all been there! 😊
I had set the same goal. I am not buying anything else until I get through the projects I already have planned.

I have a collection of heart fabric. After listening to you, I make it my goal to sew some heart fabric this year.
I love that!
YES ??? 😊
I got two quilt tops that were 6 and 2 year olds quilted so far this year. I just need to get a handle on my long arm to get more quilts quilted.
That is wonderful! Great job.

You can do it, and you will love that you can see what you need.
I have been in the hospital and rehab the last 2 weeks. I need to finish a few things
I am so sorry. Praying this year you are fully healed.

Do you have a video on appliqué?
Love your sewing machine cover. Is there a pattern? TFS
