Wrong-Way Driver in Stolen Car Leads FHP on High-Speed Chase

  • On June 18, 2021, the Florida Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the 1-75 highway in the area of the 429-mile marker in response to reports of a wrong-way driver. The driver, later identified as Reshe Buckmaster, was driving a stolen black Kia sedan in the northbound lanes while traveling southbound. The troopers were alerted to the incident by multiple callers, including the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and the Joint Regional Communications Center.
The vehicle was spotted on State CCTV live cameras, which allowed the FHP troopers to track its movements even though it was several miles ahead of them. As the troopers approached the I-75/I-10 interchange, they noticed a black Kia on the shoulder of northbound I-75, which appeared to have missed the on-ramp to I-10. The troopers turned on their lights and sirens, but the vehicle started moving north on the paved emergency shoulder at a slow speed. The trooper drove close to the vehicle to signal them to stop, but the driver did not comply. The vehicle continued to travel and accelerated, leading to a high-speed pursuit.

Would it be beyond belief that all these thousands of drivers are not "stupid" as you suggest, just driving normally, without the benefit of your TH-cam viewpoint? Translating the Latin used - Mrs. Hitler was not responsible for everything little Adolph did. A bill of attainder in Merry Old England was to have all the relatives of the losing side in a battle lose their property. After the American revolution, various former colonies took the property of the loyalists before the federal constitution was passed. Good luck collecting any money from indigents, working class people. Look at how difficult it is to collect from some wealthy and well connected Americans already.
