Hitting someone with a bat while they’re trapped in a suitcase is not self defense… she can’t seriously think this testimony will help her 😭 I also speculate that she pushed Jorge down the stairs because the neighbours testified to hearing a huge bang down the stairs.

I can believe that they were both abusive to each other, but the videos clearly show that she was the aggressor on THAT DAY. to now admit she hit him with a bat to ensure he couldn't get out while hes actively begging for his life is insane. The only way she could've gone upstairs and fallen asleep in this new scenario is if she knew he wouldn't be able to get out of the suitcase. So she's saying she just planned to keep him locked in a suitcase for over 12 hrs straight and thought he'd be fine? this woman is a piece of work. She didn't take the plea deal cause she truly believes she did nothing wrong & her defense is a fantasy. "It wasn't intentional" then the video pops up, "i was a battered woman" evidence shows jorge was a battered man & he's also the one thats d*ad, now its "it was self defense", how? he was the one restrained,he was in that suitcase for over 11 hours losing oxygen & getting weaker. All she had to do was call the police like she did at other times except maybe not bail him out the next day as usual. I hope she gets the max, she's shown no remorse, actually blames the victim & has put his family through hell. Her ex-husband said she was a violent drunk who used to hit him out of nowhere & he'd just get up & leave.Jorge hit back, she would call the police, he would get arrested & then she'd bail him out the next day. All that to show him who's the boss. She's been playing games & running out the clock so she gets time served & then goes home, so she thinks. She needs prison.

Oh she even more guilty than originally thought. So she was beating him and tossing him around while he was there. She should've taken that 10 year deal. She would've been out in 3-5 years with her time she served. Hearing this leaves 0 doubt in my mind that she was maliciously out to end that man.

Is it my imagination or is she putting on a voice? If you watch her videos from 4 years ago she sounds completely different.

Stop doing this to me? What? I shook the suitcase that he was trying to get out of. Then he got angry at me and now I was in fear. What? Make it make sense.

Weird how nothing that would support any of what she's saying here was video taped. And then she conveniently can't remember whenever she needs to play that card.

Her testimony didn't help her case at all! When deliberations start, it may very well be the quickest verdict decision ever recorded.

She makes no sense at all. He was inside the suitcase & she SO frightened that she uses a bat to prohibit him from getting out. WTH?? How did she get from an innocent game of hide & seek to her being scared for her life by a guy stuck inside a piece of luggage.

All she had to do was call the police once he was inside that suitcase if she was really frightened he would do something to her if he got out of that suitcase. Her defense makes no sense!

As a person struggles to save his life with his hand out of the suitcase, she's saying 'stop doing this to me'. Doesn't she realize she's on the stand admitting the details of her murdering him?

Her defense is not really self defense facts. She isn’t charged with hittting George with a bat and killing him. She is charged with leaving him in a suitcase and with malice causing his death through suffocation.
It is really a denial type defense. The self defense claim gets the prior and acts of George in front of the jury.
She testified surprisingly well. Let’s see what happens.

The state did a nice job with the cross, he asked her about the first pic that she didn't remember taking, he was in the suitcase then so he was in the suitcase longer that she's admitted. He asked did you do anything to help him out of the suitcase but if you were terrified why not let him out when his asked the very first time. Funny she didn't video the threats of him saying he was going to kill her. 🤔
