You're doing a great job, keep it up ❤.
The rent for a two bedroom flat varies depending on the location from about £750 to £1800 depending on how closer you are to London and other big cities.
The gas and electricity should cost between £150 and £250 per month. The fibre optic broadband should vary from £25 to £35 ( I advise shop around for this), mobile phone for a data bundle 20G should not cost more than £10 ( if you go with the smaller networks) . The water rate should be around £60 to £80 per month, and grocery shopping should not cost more than £200 to £250 depending on how much and brands you want.
Uk is still relatively cheap compared to other countries like the USA and Canada.
Wow! I cannot believe some people pay 1800 for rent every month. That’s a lot. Well, it depends on how much he/she earns. Thank you for your contribution and explicit breakdown.
And there's also council tax, usually about 1400-2000+ per annum. Water bills comes out 3monthly and about £30-50.
Some places don't even pay water bills, like northern Ireland
Though students should not pay for council tax, so ensure you get your exemption letter from school if you're a student
Thank you for the information God bless you and your family
Swansea is a coastal city and the 2nd city in Wales hence a bit expensive.
Annoyingly expensive 🥹
How's the private accommodation around the Bay Campus? When I left in 2017 it was mostly not developed.
