When she ate the broken cookie.. and he goes.. "you don't gotta explain it to me..You can have a whole one if you want."...that's the kinda love Everybody needs in their life...😍
I remember growing up years ago watching my grandmother make these cookies she was from Naples Italy, and would bake these around Christmas and sometimes Easter. The smell in the kitchen was amazing I was blessed to have grown up in an Italian household great memories.🍰☕
one thing i love about Cake Boss is all the Italian heritage, especially being 23.7% Italian myself. i get to learn more about that side of my ancestry which is really cool :-)
Honesty watching these uploads from Cake Boss is Soo much fun!!!! I love all of your enthusiasm when presenting and seeing the ending goodie is Soo much fun!!!!
Thank you I will be trying these for Christmas. Grace you hit the jackpot, Joe is very good looking. Please more recipes like this, you guys are really good teachers.
These were a massive hit with my family. I needed to make a big batch. I was a little worried with how soft it got bec of others comments. so I used a little less egg whites & put a tiny bit of flour in. I used some extra cinnamon & let it sit overnight!! They came out soooooo perfect!! They went in the pipping bag without issue!! I’m in love with this recipe !
Some men have it and some men don't. Joe has the "it" factor - Charming, caring and patient. Grace is his partner in crime..love the team - Oh by the way thank you for the recipe been wanting to make a gift for an Italian friend of mine and I will try the "cookie" or in Australian talk "biscuit". Is there a written Recipe Joe?
Suzzi, where did you get the almond paste? Or did you make it yourself? If so, may I ask how? Or Joe, if we can’t get almond paste, could you tell me how to make it?
I never understood why butter and sugar are mixed together; I always thought it just makes the sugar dissolve better or makes the butter taste better or something like that. Thanks Joe! He really should be doing more of these videos. He's a great teacher. Joe is my favourite by far (Grace too).
Hello Della, I have sent a message a few months ago saying that pinoli is the right Italian name but a lady answered to me " in the States we say pignoli". Finally someone confirmed I was right 😊
Sal Merola Ok Sal from Italy, I’m an Italian AMERICAN and in AMERICA it is spelled P I G N O L I .. just look up any recipe that calls for them but if it makes you feel better to be “right” then spell it however the heck you want! Bye from America!
I make these!!l am Italian as well and one recipe adding or taking out makes different kinds same with Lasagna,Cannoli filling base is the same but adding or leaving out..Italian cooking baking is very easy..simple,fresh ingredients ❤️🇮🇹
I loved this video and cracked up the entire time. I certainly felt at home when watching it. Thank you for sharing this fabulous recipe. I’m confused though as to how much honey, vanilla and cinnamon are used. Joe uses 1T of honey, cinnamon and I believe Vanilla Extract too but recipe provided is different. Even if you’re making a larger batch on the video -The measurements just don’t add up.
if you don't have almond paste is there a substitute for it? i have a cake boss cook book made cookies once that needed almond paste but is very expensive for such a small amount.
@@bren_mcguire My grandma makes the authentic Italian recipes, what do you mean? All from scratch, all freshly grown, all recipes passed down from great grandparents who came off the boat.
Great recipe! It's probably the only one that actually uses Mediterranean Pignoli. They come from Italy, Spain, Portugal, or Lebanon. Shelled Pistachios (di Bronte for example) come raw and unsalted.
Tony Area Check the baking aisle in your local grocery store. You can also check online. King Arthur Flour has it on their website. I have also seen it at Walmart and Target, if you are in the US. 🙂. You can also make your own almond paste if you want.
I found almond paste at the supermarket in the baking items. Ohh encountre la pasta de almendras en el super Mercado en reposteria donde esta azucar, harina etc
What was the green liquid that you added to the batter for the horseshoe shaped cookies? Do you make that, or where do they sell it? I've never seen that! Thanks in advance, and all of these cookies look so good! Thanks for a great video!
Porfavor pongan toda la receta,ya que empieza batiendo una masa ya preparada??? Cuánto de harina??? Mantequilla??? Gracias de todas en maneras. Son una no linda pareja,Dios les bendiga.
Hello, I only have 16oz=1 pound of Almond paste. Could you please modify the recipe for the rest of ingredients we ate only 2 people at home! Thank you, Lily

I prefer Joe on his own. His crumb cake recipe is GOLD and his explanation is uninterrupted which makes it one of the best on the channel.
I love how he refuses to let Grace feed him anything! He always grabs it out of her hand and feeds himself!
I love this couple. She's so loud and he is calm 😃😃 lt's very entertaining.
She must have more Italian in her. What a cute couple. 👍
@@meetvirginia717 you are right. Grace is pretty and Joe is handsome. Did you see their good looking son on their show? Like father like son.
😁😁😁😁
Joe is very professional and knowledgeable! Great husband to Grace! Love them!
Joe is great. Grace is constantly interrupting him in her loud, nasally voice! Always speaking over him!! Ugh!!
Joe needs to be a baking instructor for students. Seems like he has lots of patience and passion for what he does.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Patience is his virtue!😂

Pine nuts (is what they're talking about)
