That car is in amazing original condition. Besides the Kenwood stereo, the outside air induction, (not ram air) interior, mailbox hood, special chrome 15X7 super stock wheels, and hopefully the original 380hp/455 engine look to be original. That A/C unit is most likely a dealer installed Mark I/V unit. Looks like bought new in San Francisco and rust free. There were 906 hardtops and three convertibles built in Lansing MI between March and July '69. The headrests should have gold striping only germane to Hurst. Should have "D" heads with chrome valve covers. Intake manifold should have casting 405233 painted red and is unique, very rare, expensive if you can find one. Most QJets were stamped 7029251. 455 had a casting number 396021F and the TH400 should have a metal tag on the right side of the transmission beginning with OH . I own a '70 442 but these were every Olds guys dream.

The funny thing in the story as I’m the third person in video (camera guy). When we realized yes, GREG could work on it in his garage, but wouldn’t it be nice to see this car moving and grooving whenever you wanted. Without having to touch the mechanicals. And and so I sent text messages to Jason pretty much showing off what we have. I then looked up and we were 6 miles away from his shop. Well duh 🙄 let’s just tow it over there and get this thing set up where you can drive it whenever you want and you wouldn’t have to wrench on it.

Damn that car needs to be only worked on by a Olds A body specialist with great care taken on preserving it’s originality . I hope the owner and who ever works on it realizes how special that car is especially in that untouched condition

Buddy in high school had one of these. Spoiled rich kid, it took him about two weeks to totally trash it. Damn shame then and a damn shame now.

There was a "lucky" kid I knew of in high school - his parents gave him a 1965 Mustang Fastback GT, black w/ the red stripe.........he was out screwing around in it, doing some other people wrong, and they TOOK it from him for a week or two to teach him a lesson........they literally had never met him, and were about 10 years older. He's lucky they ultimately left it somewhere where he could recover it! Young and EXTRA dumb!

In the mid nineties I was restoring a 69 442, I combed the bone yards for parts, I had three perfect uncut radio bezels, where are you going to find one now?, that horrendous sound system MUST GO!

      OR.....he might keep it?
Like many, he still wants to keep it "as it was" but back when he got it in the late '80s..........we'll see!

WOW You need some of the big time olds guys to take some photos... I don't know what you paid, however the originality is crazy and the market is there for a large number... I can see six figures easy. Do not buff the paint - only clay bar and meguires number 7 by hand. Apply with foam applicator and remove with terry cloth or microfiber may take 2-3 applications. Also appears to have some of the original lugnuts - stainless steel caps on a nut, use hand wrenches on them. Those lugnuts are impossible to find no reproductions are correctly made and the correct originals bring up to $70 PER LUG NUT~

DON'T slam that hood, you'll break the tabs on the grills.

      Is that what does it?
I see them broken all the time!!!!
so, what you're saying, is I can't drive a Cutlass on today's rough roads......??!!

@@JasonWalroth No. Just don't slam the hood shut on a 69 or 70. They're the only ones that have that hood tongue.
