Holi Music Fest 2023: Dvayam- Chilkunda Sisters: Chalamela

On March 11th, the Ekatvam Music Festival continued with the third theme, "Dvayam," performed by the Chilkunda Sisters, Lakshmi Nagaraj and Indu Nagaraj, accompanied by Aditi Krishnaprakash on the violin, Vinod Shyam Anoor on the mridangam, and Jagannath Rao on the Tanpura. They commenced with a beautiful Varnam in Raga Darbar and performed compositions oriented towards the Mysore regime, including krithis composed by H.N. Muthaiah Bhagavathar and Mysore Vasudevacharya. A krithi in raga veeramohini, "Umapathe Paripahi," composed by their guru Vedabrahma Sri Venkatanarayana Udupa Shashtrigalu, was also well presented by the sisters. The concert ended with a Ghazal, requested by the audience.
