Excellent talk! It's always a pleasure to listen to Sadhguru but hearing him talk about the most critical existential issues of the day adds another perspective. Talking about the longevity in humans today due to improvements in technology (medicine), I agree that there are more octogenarians today than ever before. On the other hand, the concurrent rise of lifestyle diseases is either reducing the quality of life or life expectancy itself. Ailments like hypertension, diabetes, heart attacks, hypo/hyper thyroid, cancer etc were rare in the past.

That is what WE INDIANS HAVE BEEN DOING ALL ALONG but been not only the but of ridicule, but also in the cross hair for being exterminated. Now that I have moved to USA, I am still ridiculed. The people mocked me for being FOOLISH for buying a PRIUS in 2005 when the gas prices were low, & working 4 daya a week double shifts instead of going to work daily, 55 miles 1 way, for turning off the lights when I need them & where need them, for NOT USING the AC set at 65F when the temperature outside is 72F & using a comforter because then we are cold. The AC in my home is set to turn on when the temperature inside i 80F & turn off once it is 76F. I drink ONLY WATER FRO THE FAUCET, carry my own bottle with me & refill it, NO BOTTLED DRINKS, WATER, processed foods for me... NOT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY.

I have transcended! what a feeling I have knowing my place and being able to control my mindfulness, and letting go of my bad habits of trying to make the universe work for me. instead it works with me. i have realigned with the universe. I see clearer than ever. I could only describe how I feel in English and this is not the way to describe anything of this magnitude. The universe doesnt understand language as we know it, its something else. I meditate and pray in english. i know what i mean to say and how i feel. Suppose i spoke a language only 5 other people spoke. And we understood all other languages. just couldnt think or speak in them. my belief is the universe knows me and what im thinking before the thought turns it into my language causing my brain to recognize it. every other thing i have done has an end. Yoga and my experience here are the only things that will never plateau. there is just so much beauty and information to take in. So much i wanted to write.Mostly thank you for being my stepping stone. I am off now to discover what happens in the silence, and what happens when i communicate to the universe in a language or something only the universe knows. I know its because we have done this before.

That is what WE INDIANS HAVE BEEN DOING ALL ALONG but been not only the but of ridicule, but also in the cross hair for being exterminated. Now that I have moved to USA, I am still ridiculed. The people mocked me for being FOOLISH for buying a PRIUS in 2005 when the gas prices were low, & working 4 daya a week double shifts instead of going to work daily, 55 miles 1 way, for turning off the lights when I need them & where need them, for NOT USING the AC set at 65F when the temperature outside is 72F & using a comforter because then we are cold. The AC in my home is set to turn on when the temperature inside i 80F & turn off once it is 76F. I drink ONLY WATER FRO THE FAUCET, carry my own bottle with me & refill it, NO BOTTLED DRINKS, WATER, processed foods for me... NOT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY.
I think youre very clever living the way you do, trying to reduce your carbon footprint and you have inspired me. Ignore the ridicule as it is none of your concern. They inevitably ridicule themselves. Anyone who ridicules another.
I would have a lot to say on the matter (I usually have a lot to say about most things but i only say what i think really matters) but i'll just say Elle Naglik is correct and i could give you a lifetime of stories to prove you the "They inevitably ridicule themselves. Brilliant Interview and a great and opportune time for America and world to embark on a journey of consciousness, since we clearly know the compulsive nature of us has drugged and drowned us backwards in terms of life even if we may not have realized the full impact yet. So it is time we do the right things to leave something meaningful for the next generation as Sadhguru mentioned rather than postponing disasters in the name of petty arguments.

Thank you Sadhguru for the information. I needed it and you provided it just when I needed it. I have transcended! what a feeling I have knowing my place and being able to control my mindfulness, and letting go of my bad habits of trying to make the universe work for me. instead it works with me. i have realigned with the universe. I see clearer than ever. I could only describe how I feel in English and this is not the way to describe anything of this magnitude. The universe doesnt understand language as we know it, its something else. I meditate and pray in english. i know what i mean to say and how i feel. Suppose i spoke a language only 5 other people spoke. And we understood all other languages. just couldnt think or speak in them. my belief is the universe knows me and what im thinking before the thought turns it into my language causing my brain to recognize it. every other thing i have done has an end. Yoga and my experience here are the only things that will never plateau. there is just so much beauty and information to take in. So much i wanted to write.Mostly thank you for being my stepping stone. I am off now to discover what happens in the silence, and what happens when i communicate to the universe in a language or something only the universe knows. I know its because we have done this before.
