The opening line is about the beginning of the book, where one of the characters has been shot and is bleeding on the ballroom floor. She isn't doing it for the attention even though that's all she craves. The main character is a model, hence the, "Have some composure." "Where is your posture?" And the "Give me envy, malice" etc. --->
I used to share this demo version with all my friends saying it was better than the album version and honestly I stand by it even now. The 'you sure' and 'time to dance' parts should have been kept in. Listening to this in 2022, it's still amazing.
