Shoe bins are my favorite organizing tool to have around - they are so versatile. We also use them in our linen closet since we don't have medicine cabinets in either restroom.

Contact paper on the back of shelves. Brilliant and instant lift! But first, I’m inspired to tackle my first aid supplies. I’m a nurse so I have a lot of those. Thank you for the ideas!
Such good ideas that I had to watch it twice - love what you found at Aldi and Target. Sometimes TJMaxx has cute items also. I had found some of the nice, quality clear refrigerator trays awhile back and I have used them in more than one place. With your reminders from this linen closet, I'm looking at both the bathroom supplies and a collection of office supplies, which thankfully, do not expire. Doing something with them will help me on the way to getting the basement sorted (you would send me to the naughty corner if only you knew!). But I also got the garage done two weeks ago when I hired a crew to empty and powerwash the floor. The reorg out there is amazing and needed to be done warm summer weather to fully dry out. Am also improving the single cement step at both doors into the house (front porch and inner-garage entrance to laundry room.) At Christmas, I missed the step on the front porch, fell on two open ankles and broke the left fibula, plus two small bones in right ankle. Living alone put all the responsibility on me to get the help I needed. After physical therapy I'm much improved but may need some knee surgery this winter. I digress, sorry. Back to the steps, I picked up two peel and stick long step labels which are gritty black for traction and have a yellow line to alert you where the step edge is. The issue I had with those, however, is the yellow line only shows up with SOME minimal light; the interior black darkness of my garage, should the overhead light burn out, would leave me in a precarious situation. So, master eBayer that I am, I found some glow in the dark tapes from China which I'm going to use esp. in the garage and around the steps to the laundry room, and even in the stairwell into the basement. The closest thing I could find in the USA was Hobby Lobby, a small vial of glow in dark paint. The 'glow' quality seems to have a link with radiation? - maybe USA stores are limited on that type of product, but the tape from China is amazing and I'm willing to forgo a little exposure to keep myself or guests safe. Am thinking that the baseboard of stairs into the basement might be good for a strip in case of smoke or fire and having to crawl upstairs. Also, had crew two weeks ago swap out both smoke alarms to something current in technology and they are amazing. Sorry I'm rambling. Lots going on. Want to do that bathroom shelving asap. Hugs to your boys; little Owen has some of Carson's little shyness mannerisms - so cute!
You've done a fantastic job once again! I agree with getting rid of the packaging. I keep a small basket (from DT) in a cabinet where I keep different OTC medications that have come in boxes. I flattened the boxes (to keep dosage instructions) and labeled the expiration date with a sharpie on the front, then stuck the medications and flattened boxes into Ziploc bags. It is definitely a helpful space saver and my husband and I can easily access any time we need it.

My recently I took on our linen closet which has to double as a closet for our board games, puzzles, and card games. Thanks to your tips I made so much room I was able to relocate cleaning supplies to under the bathroom sink and throw a bunch of stuff that was cluttering our lives.

I have a linen closet just like this one. I used an expanding spice shelf for extra bottles of shampoo. It has worked out very well. Easy to see everything at a glance.

I agree with Owen. Of course I need help all through my apartment and mostly I need the ability to get up empty the boxes sort them out and get rid of stuff that I don't need. But the PTSD and depression always gets in my way. I need to find a better solution and I'm going to keep on your Channel to motivate me as much as I could possibly be motivated. I have decluttered the cupboard in my living room, organized my kitchen cabinets and cleaned the inside, went through lingering paperwork en archived everything neatly again, decluttered a part of my sons room (tomorrow or the day after I'll be going through his closet) and I'm planning 1 or 2 organization projects in the future.
