Ive only done a handful of markets so I’m not a pro by any means, but at one market I can sell a crap ton of one thing, then at the next one no one bats an eye at it! It’s crazy but it does vary from market to market! All your stuff is adorable! ❤
I think you’re doing great! You have courage and enthusiasm in your videos and as a viewer of lots of crochet videos, enthusiasm in what you’re doing is very important. I’m having my first plushie market tomorrow and I’m nervous. We hear how people are making lots of money doing this and earn enough money to stay home but I don’t think that happens overnight. I think it takes time to build an audience and like you said about the lovelies that you had to educate them. That’s what you have to do, they have to come by and talk to you see if you know what you’re talking about. And then the next time they see you they are surprised because you’re still doing this. Don’t lower your price! Don’t do it. Then the third time they see you that’s when things will take off. Last year I sold crochet towels and wash cloths only sold a few. I put them in a craft antique store in January nothing, February one sold, March 4 towels and 2 wash cloths sold. So keep going but you have to stay with it. Educate your audience that you know what you’re doing. ❤❤❤
26:49 Don't undercut your prices. You are worth your prices. What didn't move at this market may be a #1 seller at the next. Crowds are always unpredictable.
Congrats on your market, fee was very low which is great. I had my second market on Sat Mar 30, 2 hr market ax it was an Easter Bunny Hike fee was $50 Canadian for 2 hrs. My best sellers were chickens $8 & peeps@ 10. I need to get square. Thanks for sharing.
Never lower your price unless your running a sale on your Etsy or website. You work to hard to do that at markets. My quote “if you want cheap” seek it at elsewhere If course I never say to my customers only to myself 😳😉😳 Very nice plushie young lady👍🏽 Leticia
For the whales i would say getting a themed display like a lil fish bowl and put a stand in the middle to make them stand out, but overall good job! keep it up!

Thanks for your comment! I was nervous about using square but it was easy. 🙂

Love it! Thanks for the encouragement, Leticia ☺️
Yup. Easter Eggs are a hard sale. Put some Bunny Ears on them and a face and they are gone in no time. It also helps to put simple flowers on them.
That’s a cute idea!
I would make the whales keychains and display by hanging or.put.im a big fish bowl.
Those are good ideas! I may make a few into keychains

Love watching your videos
That means so much thank you!
Possums normally aren't out during the day. Maybe it was partly cause there were more vendors selling plushies.
We were definitely surprised to see it!
😂 that must be why
I’m so sad the dog didn’t sell! I’m glad your first market was a success 💚
Thank you ❤️ hopefully she will find her forever home at the next market
