Trust me I play in airsoft fields with thousands of dollars worth of airsoft guns. Most of the airsoft guns nowadays mimic real guns like they dont even have an orange tip on the gun.

But it is still an extreme sport and if safety isn't your priority, then you run serious risks

Whether it hits someone in the face at that point is out of their control. If its just for fun, i see no reason to organise a group to go play at a proper field and go back home fully satisfied. Bringing the feeling of dangers and the threat of injury to the home that a drive by of any nature ; be it a paintball or an airsoft gun, is not the answer to rivalries. Nor a step in the right direction to achieve a safer neighborhood. There is a stigma in paintball as a result to these kinds of things. Anyone who actively plays would refer to their gun as a "Paintball Marker" rather than say " paintball gun" to avoid any sort of confusion or accidentally stir panic in public. And with the rise of magfed markers; such as the first strike T15, tippmann TMC, and other such platforms taking direct inspiration from AR Platforms. Some even functioning similar to them, its become more of a delicate issue in terms of public views and its sense of safety.
