I get so many scam calls from India that any time I speak to one of the scammers I talk about how much I love Pakistan and hate India and they always start screaming

I consider it an achievement if I can get the scammers to yell obscenities at me over the phone. Last time I got one of them to call me a "fucking idiot" after dragging them around in logical loops for 20 minutes. Made my day.

A couple of years ago I had some scammers from India who said they were from Microsoft and my computer was infected with a virus so I had to download a program to erase the virus. I had so much fun with them. I just acted like I had no idea how computers worked; kinda like when you try to explain to your grandparents on how to get access to their bank account on a PC but if your grandparents had an IQ of 60. They tried 3 times, but I think my phone number got blacklisted all over India since then.

I've been getting these kinds of messages for a while now. The last one I got they told me she runs two fashion businesses (just like the previous two or three did) so I straight up asked them what kind of crypto she into, and she acted surprised, said she wasn't interested in crypto and asked why I would ask her that. I said the last person I talked to with two fashion businesses who accidentally messaged me tried to get me to invest in crypto. She then told me I shouldn't trust those other people because they were just trying to scam me, but if I wanted to learn how to make money with Bitcoin, she was the one who could teach me, and that she definitely wasn't trying to scam me like those others were. Girl, you just told me weren't interested in crypto and then turn around and tell me you're gonna teach me how to invest in crypto??!!

When I get scam calls trying to ask about my information I do two things:
I ask them for the same information (while saying I understand they might get paid commission. I do honestly pity people that see scamming as a viable way to make money. it's kind of sad.)
Or, I give them completely incorrect information. So if I get repeat calls or if they sell that "wrong info" with my number attached, I know where it went lololol. Yeah I'm *totally* Jedediah with a neon green and blue 1998 Ford Ranger. That's totally me. And I totally have an extended warranty that I totally need to know about.
the scams are evolving so quick too, sometimes it's genuinely not obvious it's a scam at first. So if you feed them that bullshit (if you don't just hang up or avoid it in the first place by accident/on purpose) it's a good way to know that you're dealing with scammers in the same circle of scammers.
I get a lot of scam calls too. One time, someone called, and I started “visiting” with the scammer on the phone, and then I heard someone in the background say, “oh no, it’s HER! Hang up!!” And then the phone went dead. Lol!

I have fun with the Spanish speaking ones because they are most likely religious still and when you say stuff like “accept the laws of Satan” or “Satan will watch over you from here on”, it sounds worse and scary in Spanish and can even scare them out of superstition lol
I do this all the time with scam phone calls, it's pretty gratifying to be told to do some very explicit things to myself. Trolling ftw.

When I was younger I would answer phone calls from unknown numbers for my parents, because if it was a telemarketer they seemed to never call back, since they thought it was a child's phone.

I saw a documentary on this kind of subject, because in my country they target old ladies that feel alone, like 70 80 year olds . And a lot of them give money because they think they are giving to soldier abroad and stuff like that. Anyway, the sad part is that this kind of scam is part of a mafia scan that operates around the world and the sad part is that a lot of the people doing that work, writting the message etc are kind of slaves with huge debts, hence the language typos...
What I meant was...the scammer is not even the scammer, they are obeying the mafia...it's a horrible net. And when I heard of it, I thought "but is it profitable?" But apparently it is...
