There are a total of 30 paints over the entire run + 4 brushes and a texture paint applicator (Not including the 3 free brushes if you subscribe.) We have so far got a crappy starter brush early on and a brush with the Termi Librarian. It looks like we are only getting 2 paints in the paint issues from now on, so if you ignore the unknown Ork issues that is only 27 paints, so its more than likely that the 4 Ork issues will be split between paints and Ork boys to make up the remaining 3 paints (One issue will probably be a texture paint and the applicator tool).
Between my local Smiths (usually out of anything, but this week managed to get the Librarian) and trips to Forbidden Planet (they had issue 2 and up today, in abundance, but not 10), I've managed to get anything I wanted so far. It's a weird false economy too, because, sure, you're getting some basic units on a discount... But then you're starting a new army, and that's another £400 if you want a nice bit of variety😂. GW always win.
Subbed to the whole run and premium as have no paints or brushes and only have a 2k points death guard army so seemed like a good way to play games with my friends using a combat patrol each and a big model extra seems like some fun battles to be had
Well, the Ork Boyz are a push-fit kit split over two sprues, so I suspect issues 43 and 44 will each have a sprue, with 45 being paints. Interesting that after the first 20 issues each race gets a straight block of 8-10 issues to itself, I would have thought they'd mix them up a bit more, though it does make sense the extra partwork exclusive additions to the combat patrol (which we still don't know how they'll work in the various Patrols) are at the end of each 20 blocks. I'm buying just a single issue from my local WH smiths, as I really can't manage 4 issues in one go this time around, especially when it's just the same old free gifts I've received in almost every GW subscription to date....
Great video as always, I opted for the full premium sub, two years into the hobby fully hooked, used your how to play indomitus edition Your content continues to inspire and drag me further into the rabbit hole 👍🏻
As a collector and painter that rarely plays, I love these magazines. Subscribed to Imperium and Stormbringer. Will subscribe to this too. It’s nice to have so many options and paint whatever I am in the mood for that day.
Some great info and just makes planning all the easier. I’ve been trying to buy second copies of stuff in stores for certain units and it’s been a pain in the butt - definitely glad I got the premium sub as I basically don’t have anything from these armies anyway outside of Aeldari.
I'm not looking to collect any of the armies from this run, but I could pick up the Wraithlord and maybe some Cadians with plans to kitbash them into something else. Finding a way to turn the chaos terminators back into loyalists also could be fun if I find an excuse to actually make Salamanders.
I've always wanted to have all the armies since I couldn't make my mind up and switching it up would really be a nice change in terms of painting apart from CSM to WE as they're kinda the same with trim... But looking forward to receiving more issues! I am currently on break with warhammer but am getting closer to just going on a painting spree with how much time I have plus this video has motivated me as well as I thought it was gonna be poster boys and sexy nids for a while. But no! Soon something else is coming! Thank god looking very much forward to it and if possible having it all done as the pile it growing again with these issues...
these Hachette collections are why I don't even bother acquiring launch boxes for new editions anymore. Most of their content will be in the edition's collection, with bonus. Can't wait for Hachette Combat Patrol to arrive in my country.
@@sonicwingnut Yes, but around me, these boxes are generally a nightmare to obtain. For example, with Leviathan, 45 boxes were pre-ordered from our independent local store. GW told them, days after the reservations were made, that they would only receive 6 boxes instead of the 45 they had reserved. And it wasn't the first time it happened. So aiming for Hachette is the best options, because Hachette will honor its subscriptions.
@@TankinatorFR I just got Leviathan online, was an absolute doddle to obtain, there were boxes even at 20% off retailers well over a week after release.

I subscribed to hachette Warhammer magazines with the last third of Imperium magazine, last week I got the newest stormbringer delivery (I think issue 36-41) but couldn't build them yet. Did they announce a change before? You might have mentioned it but I thought these only contained the actual combat patrol units and Hearthguard isn't in the current votann CP.
Had to cancel! Was looking forward to the full run. took 2 months to get issue 1 and 2 due to delays. Next month's order didn't turn up. Apparently they paused my subscription for no reason due to internal error. Told I had to wait another 14 days. Local independent newsagents WON'T get in partworks after the first couple of issues, as they stop being supplied to them on a "Sale or Return" basis after several issues, unlike most other magazines. Supermarkets and WH Smiths don't suffer from that cash credit restriction however so often will get in later issues if not the whole run.

I'm subbed, it's been a pretty productive process so far. A new Tyranid player down our FLGS has been doing very well out of me into the bargain! With a bit of judicious trading I was able to turn two lots of the Infernus Marines into Bladeguard for my Lamenters- the Blood Angels army box came with a lot of spare power swords...
not sure if these are a value considering premium is 16.5$ usd an issue each 10 issues is slightly more than the msrp of the boxed sets, i know you get the premium sets and pain and stuff but im not sure its worth it.
I've subscribed but planned to bail when CSM, Eldar and World Eaters were done. Unfortunately WE are separated in the order from the initial premium hints so I'll likely can them, at least I can console myself that those issues also look relatively poor value. I'm semi-interested in Votann for the look of the minis, but I don't know that I care enough for the Orks to stick it through. My friends are struggling to find any in retail so glad I subscribed however.
You realize the tarifs will make prices go DOWN right? It's going to be an additional 10% tarif, meaning if they charge $100 more, they'd pay $10 more in tarif. They more they charge, the more they pay in tarifs. Lowering prices means they get more profit in their pocket.
@@TheDeadGunslingerI didn’t realize the thing that is designed to make foreign products more expensive in order to incentivize people to purchase domestic products would actually make the prices of the foreign products go down! /s No wonder the election went the way it did people actually don’t know how economics work.
@@TheDeadGunslingerlol that is not how that works at all. A tariff is an import tax, paid by the importer. Most likely the price will be raised for the customer so that the importer can maintain profit margins. If your local game shop has to pay a 20% import tax, they aren't going to just absorb that. You'll pay more.
Still not totally certain what these are... the comments make it seem like you can get a subscription to get all of these, but folks are griping about not being able to find them at this Forbidden Planet store. Also, no idea what prices these would be in the US...a $13 magazine where you get either a $45 character or half of a $60 kit seems incredible. Meanwhile the paint issues I guess you're paying for the magazine content because 2 paint pots is $9+tax. Maybe it will be closer to $20 in the US, which is double that in the UK but still offers ~30-55% savings off of those other kits.
Yeah you can subscribe and get one copy of every issue, or take your chances buying singles at various places but good ones sell out. Expect a price under $20 US imo, the last one was $17 or something
Yes, you'll build 9 armies over the course of 90 weeks* *assuming your buying issues one a week from your local newsagents and not getting them every 4-6 weeks from Hachette by sub.
2x #2 (more Spawn than you'll ever need) £14 4x #3 (20x Rubrics) £40 3x #15 (these are your Mutalith Vortex Beasts) £36 1x #40 (Scarab Termies) £12 1x #73 (Cultists) £12 2x #89 (Forgefiend) £24 It's like a very complicated takeaway order, for a pretty good TSons army for £138. Add Sorcs/ Infernal Masters/ Magnus to taste. I'd almost be willing to add 4x Deffkopters as Enlightened, just as little spring rolls of joy, to make it really feel like a full meal.
If you already bought a starter set, you can skip one #2 set of Leaper/Spawn, one #3 flamer Infernus/Rubrics, one #40 Scarab Termies (use the teleporter pod as a missile rack), one #15 Psychophage/Mutalith, and you'll never have to buy a single Tzaangor (they're Termagents). So it's even cheaper. And makes for a fairly appropriately themed army (Tzeentch loves making a mockery of enemies). You even get a Termie Sorc and a Winged (hive) Daemon Prince, for free!
Its not GW, its done by Hachette a magazine company, you would subscribe through Hachette Partworks. My FLGS had all the previous magazines but decided not to order this one as the last ones just went to scalpers who bought piles of the best ones. They would probably be able to order them in for you. If you are in the UK you can also request WH Smiths to order you in the magazines, you do have to pay upfront though. I doubt FLGS outside the UK would have them.
I'm on the fence about this sub. Nothing against Hachette (they are good) but when I saw GW delete the entire Stormcast Eternals Sancrosanct chamber I thought back to the mortal realms magazine. Subscribers paid a lot of good money for that subscription for GW to delete a very large chuck of it. I know GW will delete models from this in future editions. GW wants rotating "subscribers" to their games and not loyal hobbyists for me.
@@wmandthings yeah, apart from issues 1-4, they still have THE ENTIRE RUN available to buy from their webstore, it really hasn't done well, because of the too many dice complaints and the magazine overall being overpriced for the physical content provided. I'd have subbed to it had it been a fairer price say £5.99 a weekly issue, but at £8.99 a weekly issue with most of the time either a set of dice or even just one big die, it's not worth it compared with getting the three Starter Sets Wizards put out!
Subbed to premium because I want to do a display unit with all 9 factions. But I've already fallen behind on painting because I'm also painting up blood Angels army 😂😂😂

Dunno yet. We got all of the others like it so probably soon.
Great video. Good info !
71-80 seem pretty great for a GSC player
Wish we had these in the US
Anyone know the best way I can get my subscription for this here in BC Canada?
Just gotta wait dude.
Shame the World Eaters are the last to be released in issues 81-90.....
Can I order from Forbidden Planet if I am in the US?
I would love to have a Premium subscription, but they have never been out in Scandinavia.
I want these bad boys in the USA!
Ditto
Next year, if you believe the rumors and historical precedent.
Wonder who sells them in the US?
Good deals but last round of the magazine was such a headache. Keep being months between each time they would send them out.
I wonder how much the super tarifs will fuck over GW in the US. I doubt this magazine will be 12 or 13 bucks after January 20th.
i assume that will be a very quick 180
You realize the tarifs will make prices go DOWN right?
It's going to be an additional 10% tarif, meaning if they charge $100 more, they'd pay $10 more in tarif.
They more they charge, the more they pay in tarifs. Lowering prices means they get more profit in their pocket.
@@TheDeadGunslinger😂😂😂😂
@@TheDeadGunslingerI didn’t realize the thing that is designed to make foreign products more expensive in order to incentivize people to purchase domestic products would actually make the prices of the foreign products go down! /s No wonder the election went the way it did people actually don’t know how economics work.
@@TheDeadGunslingerlol that is not how that works at all. A tariff is an import tax, paid by the importer. Most likely the price will be raised for the customer so that the importer can maintain profit margins. If your local game shop has to pay a 20% import tax, they aren't going to just absorb that. You'll pay more.
Like where can I buy these?
UK: newsagents, whsmith, hachette store, forbidden planet
No AdMech? Would love to see some cheaper ways for us to get models....
They were in the last one
Wait so I’m confused. It’s a magazine set that sends mini/paint/accessories with specific issues?
It's more like the hobby stuff is the reason you pay.
The magazine is 'fine' but they're not long and more written for new players
Yes, you'll build 9 armies over the course of 90 weeks*
*assuming your buying issues one a week from your local newsagents and not getting them every 4-6 weeks from Hachette by sub.
Great savings from this mag!
why are the jackals on the guard section?
Found the Brood Brothers
Because it seems they release a random unit from the faction prior in the following one.
E.g. wraithguard in chaos release
The extra unit of every two Combat Patrols are at the end of the 20 issues that compose them (except for the World Eaters).
When will we get it in Australia?
Prolly sometime in 2025
2x #2 (more Spawn than you'll ever need) £14
4x #3 (20x Rubrics) £40
3x #15 (these are your Mutalith Vortex Beasts) £36
1x #40 (Scarab Termies) £12
1x #73 (Cultists) £12
2x #89 (Forgefiend) £24
It's like a very complicated takeaway order, for a pretty good TSons army for £138.
You even get a Termie Sorc and a Winged (hive) Daemon Prince, for free!
is the subscription reliable, i see a lot of complaints around it
Will our LGS have these on the shelf or is this pure subscription through GW?
Any word on US release?
Rumor is January
Honest question: is this leaker going to be given the Miniac treatment or is this just an advertising strategy?
Thanks Auspex!
Just bought 20 termagants and 2 ripper swarms for 25 quid thanks to those mags. Steal!
@@andybeard3213 Did you buy them off ebay? The rrp magazine prices would be £40.
Others should do the same with "D&D, Pathfinder, Battletech", Mantic Games could try this as well
They do a DnD magazine but other than a few 2D characters it's dice every week
@@wmandthings yeah, apart from issues 1-4, they still have THE ENTIRE RUN available to buy from their webstore, it really hasn't done well, because of the too many dice complaints and the magazine overall being overpriced for the physical content provided.
I'd have subbed to it had it been a fairer price say £5.99 a weekly issue, but at £8.99 a weekly issue with most of the time either a set of dice or even just one big die, it's not worth it compared with getting the three Starter Sets Wizards put out!
I subscribed to this and sold all the nods for more then I paid
Subbed to premium because I want to do a display unit with all 9 factions. But I've already fallen behind on painting because I'm also painting up blood Angels army 😂😂😂
What about the 'free' gifts, when do they come out?
you get them in subscription split between 7 months
@@reecericereze61 And only if you subscribed before issue 4 came out, after that, your not entitled to get the free gifts, you MIGHT get them if they still have any left, but NOT guaranteed.
I thought we already knew what was coming here?
We knew what it was as a whole, but not the parts that you can pick up at your local shop if you just want one thing.
Yeh, didn’t have the dates and breakdown 👍
When does this come to America?
So death guard get a helbrute over 2 issues?
There is no Deathguard in this subscription, just World Eaters and Vanilla Chaos Marines.
And yes, larger kits with multiple sprues get released over two or three issues.
@darrenrichardson6146 boo 👎
Yall funny, most of the plastic is printed in UK, they mostly use China for the book printings, hence why there’s always supply chain BS going on
I play Sisters & Necrons.... guess i won't be needing any of these magazines then.
Not desperate, but kinda desperate to see them come to Canada
saame
I got the prem sub yeah gone get them all.
where are the deamons?
