I love your method of teaching. Instructions are clear and concise, and the videos are so helpful. You go slow enough to demonstrate, so one can presumably keep up, but fast enough that one doesn't get bored. I've watched SO MANY of your videos.
Wow! Thank you so much! I've made dozens of blankets and other projects in regular Tunisian, and I've made dozens of C2C with regular crochet. I guess I'm just slow because it never even occurred to me that we could do a C2C pattern in Tunisian! just really got excited to see you doing this! You have a wonderfully pleasant speaking voice, and your video is perfect! Thank you so much for sharing with us! I can't wait to make this pattern now! God Bless!
Hi Toni - love your videos to pieces. I had watched this one 10-15 times over & over trying to make a square and kept ending up with weird lopsided non-squares....I tried multiple hooks & yarns and re-watched again & again....how the heck did I miss the KEY ingredient?! The extra full stitch at the end of the row to balance with the first one makes the perfect square. I love you for helping me with the bias square because last week I discovered an afghan my grandmother made in the 60s that is ALL bias squares in two colors - it's made of pure wool yarn and heavy and warm and delightfully colorful. I took it for knitting for years and when I pulled it out last week I looked at it carefully and realized it's TUNISIAN and ....on the bias squares .....so THANK YOU for this video and wish me luck as I go about recreating her work and making my own heirloom =) xo
I’ve now started my project over for the third time cause I found this pattern & love it more than the chevron or gingham I was doing. 😂 I just found you like a week ago & learned about Tunisian crochet. I worked in a craft store for 5 years and have a grandmother who crochets and never knew about it. I have already fallen in love with the style (it’s SO EASY) and bought an inexpensive set of basic Tunisian crochet hooks, one hook with a cable, & at saving up for a set of interchangeable ones. I also showed my mom, who ALSO didn’t know about Tunisian, & she said “I like her. She gives clear, concise instructions & has a nice calming voice. Subscribe me to her channel.” Needless to say, I’m now loving my new hooks (not as hard to use as I thought they’d be, though the hook with the cord took some practice) & am more excited than ever to use up my yarn stash!
Wow, this is so much easier than the c2c moss stitch tutorials I've tried. Maybe because Toni is my favorite teacher and inspiration. Tunisian Crochet is my favorite method, while moss stitch is my favorite traditional crochet stitch. I will check Toni's videos for something comparable.
I’ve been procrastinating ever since yiu did the tutorial for this pattern to make this. Well today I started it with variegated yarn and it is turning out wonderful. Thank you again for showing how to do this. I’m making one big project instead of just squares and then sewing it together
I've been doing Tunisian crochet for about 10 years now. I have dish cloths that are at least that old in my cleaning arsenal. I love the stitches you teach and always learn something new and fascinating about this versatile family of stitches. Big Thanks!!
Ok I LOVE this pattern! I made two just like this with cotton yarn to use as dishcloths. The texture on the back is perfect for it! Now I am working on one with the honeycomb stitch, it is making a great texture on the front. The best part is after the increase you ALWAYS start with a purl stitch, and after the decrease you always start with the regular stitch. Awesome!!!
First... love your mail polish. Second, the full stitch method of increasing is SO MUCH easier than the yarn under method to me. Thank your so much for sharing this! ❤
My Mom taught me to Tunisian crochet when I was seven. It was one of the 3 stitches she taught me. However she called it the Aphgan stitch. I love this stitch so much. Since Mom has passed everytime I do or see this stitch it warms my heart and makes me feel close to her. I know she is smiling knowing that I still remember and use this stitch to this day and I'm 53 years old. Thank you for this wonderful video and I will be making some squares. I want to try and make some bigger squares. 💜🧶💜🧶💜
I just want to tell you I love your teaching style. You are clear and to the point. I have a hard time with video tutorials because so many people get to wordy and ramble on. Your are, for me, perfect!!!
Hey Tony! I just wanted to let you know you have me hooked girl! I've been crocheting and knitting for over 45 years ( I started at 11) and I'd never heard of tunisian crochet until I came across one of your videos. I bough a tunisian crochet hook to start, then a set, and have to say I am falling in love with this crocheting technique, and I enjoy your way of teaching so much! Thank you for your videos, and keep them coming!! Big hug to you!🤗
I got my first starter kit for my birthday last week, I've been knitting and crocheting for about 20 years but have never done this style before, I'm already half way though my first project, a triangular wrap, and I love these tutorials, so easy to follow, you are excellent at explaining things, I've tried a few different stitches, but the wrap I'm making is using the smock stitch, was a little fiddly working out the increase at the start but it's looking amazing. Thank you so much for these videos 🧡
The Tunisian corner to corner stitch is beautiful. Definitely want to make a project with it. Reminds me of the kitchen dish clothes my great grandma used to knit for the family.
I'm currently doing your tunisian diagonal stitch for a scarf .. I think this one is next... But not sure what I want to do with it .. YOU ROCK... not much on tunisian stitch that I didn't know .. but you rocked my tunisian world... ❤️ Haha...
Your explanation of why the first stitch of the return pass is done through only one loop on your hook is very informative. Before finding your channel, I never knew why you had to do the first one through only one loop. So glad I found your videos which detail the craft of Tunisian Crocheting. TYSM for sharing your techniques and knowledge with us. Love your channel. 😻👍🥰
I just found your channel yesterday and I'm so so so so glad I did. You're amazing. So clear, so informative, with a wonderful voice that makes an even more enjoyable learning experience. *edit for missing word
Oh my goodness, I've been wanting to know how to do this for like 15 years, when my coworker first taught me how to Tunisian crochet!! So excited to watch!
I used the corner to corner technique and the honeycomb stitch instead of just simple stitch and I love it! This way all rows start the same, with the increase loop then *tss, tunisian pearl* repeat ending on a tss then increase and last stitch.
Tunisian was my first crochet stitch and I love it! I am happy to learn the c2c! I have knitted c2c but this is amazing! I am newly reconnected with Tunisian and am working on an afghan for my husband. Thanks!
It's very helpful the way you explain how to find the last stitch on the left side of the work. I was having trouble getting that straight. Thanks so much! God bless ;)
Thank you! Tunisian had always left me a sense of feeling like now what until I found you! You explain so well and I simply love your tutorials. Please include projects, all I’ve done are washcloths. I love Tunisian crochet, but I do not know how to get the most of it.
This is so great, thank you! I like C2C a lot, it is really fun. And now knowing that it can be done in Tunisian crochet - I'm soooo exited! I've just started a patchwork-C2C blanket. I think I will try some Tunisian squares and see if they would work together. I really love your tutorials, they teach me SO much!
As usual your tutorial is so clear. You get straight to the teaching, clear calm voice and crisp video of exactly what’s going on. Thank you so much. I have some left over cotton yarn from another project and I’m going to use it to try this technique.
Thanks for this video. It's really easy to follow. If you wanted to make a rectangle, like a scarf, would you add a stitch to one side and reduce on the other on every row?
Thank you so much for your detailed videos😊 I was able to make a throw blanket and my edges came out perfect with your helpful hint of uses a stitch marker to help. Now I am working on a dishcloth for a faster project and love this video too!!
I love your method of teaching. Instructions are clear and concise, and the videos are so helpful. You go slow enough to demonstrate, so one can presumably keep up, but fast enough that one doesn't get bored. I've watched SO MANY of your videos.
Toni I know this video is from 3 years ago but I LOVE THIS! THANK YOU! Woman you so totally rock! 🎸🫰🎸
So many colors on your nails! :D Gotta remember to focus on the yarn, not the nails.
You are , by far, the best tunisian crochet teacher ever... so smooth and dedicated... thank you so much ... lots of love from Brazil.
Nossa! Tropecei em outra brasileira aqui!!!😂😂😂 que legal!
Wow! Thank you so much! I've made dozens of blankets and other projects in regular Tunisian, and I've made dozens of C2C with regular crochet. "pull up a loop" is starting to sound like "pulopalop" to me :D
@Zeke Lawson I care wtf is wrong with you?! Why would you hack her account?
@@evelynsobel9373 he’s bating people for his crappy website it’s probably a bot and didn’t happen just ignore and report it
Yarnova pulthrutoo 😅 should make a tee shirt

Sounds like a town in Pennsylvania lol. “I’m from Pulopaloop, PA whohoo!”
