- In this class you will learn how to make your own Custom Brushes. So there are five types of brushes in Adobe Illustrator which are: Calligraphic Brush, Scatter Brush, Art Brush, Bristle Brush and finally Pattern brush. You will be able to make fancy art brushes which you can use to make stylized strokes and with the help of Pattern brush you can even make beautiful Mandala art as well.

Class no 15 Color and Custom Brushes
1 The advantage of brush tool is when we are apply the style of brush in stroke while we are using brush tool it will directly give you style you dont
need to select then apply style but in the pencil and pen tool we should have to select then apply style in stroke.
2 We have a brush libraray like same as swathces in window panel.
3 We have a 5 types of brushes Calligraphic, Scatter brush, Art brush, bristle brush brush, patteren brush.
4 We can open the brush panel from window .
5 Calligraphic means like urdu writing we can use that for it. By using a calligraphic we can go new brush then select calligraphic tool then set a size
angle and rounndness .Simple like when we writing urdu using cut marker and cut pen.
6 Scatter brush will help you to show artwork spreadfully like make any artwork go new brush OR we can drag and drop the artwork as well OR then select
scatter then ok then select brush tool then drag you can see the proper result. We can set size spacing rotation scatter. If we select the random
we can see the artwork we using to scatter it will effect randomly. And we can see the method as well we have an option tint tints and shades hue shift.
7 Art brush mostly used for cartoon illustrartion. We can make our own art brush just like calligraphic but we can see the arrow selection we can set
starting and ending point as well. We can see scale proportionally which means if your will stretch artwork it will improve proportionally, stretch to
fit stroke length it will improve the artwork length depend on stoke, stretch between length in this we can do custom stich through guide.
8 In the bristle brush we can see natural brushes in which select one of those adjust size, Bristle length means brush hairs, bristle density quantity of
bristle, bristle thickness means brush hair thickness, bristle opacity , stiffness softness.
9 The best part in pattern brushes the artwork we are using for brsuh it will automatically rotate Or curve your artwork when you are using for brush. And
the thing is this brush will be work horizontally.
10 In the pattern brushes we can set ending curve and starting curve and we can do anything through the help of guideline and we can made a custom artwork
and add in swatches and we can get from guidline whatever we want to set on there.

Assalam o Alaikum sir, first of all, you've been very helpful in learning illustrator and just live how detailed your work is. I have a problem that I am encountering in illustrator that whenever I try to create a brush that can make a double stroke effect by using an art brush or the pattern brush, the corners get messed up. Either they don't get joined or they get expanded outside the actual shape. please guide me through this problem. Jazakallah!
