Black Cat doesn't care about Power Shield

There's a new season of Battlegrounds now and I was curious to see how Black Cat would fare in it. There's a Power Shield node that prevents you from dealing damage with your basic attacks and a Polka Dot Power node that means you only gain power from applying damaging debuffs to the opponent.
Ordinarily, this would mean that you'd have to apply damaging debuffs to the opponent in order to build up enough power to launch special attacks that can actually damage them. However, in this instance, Black Cat only applies Bleed debuffs and Thing is immune to that, meaning she never gains any power and therefore is unable to launch any special attacks. Can she still defeat him?
