Thank you SO much for this video. Single city girl living in an Rv for the first time 😆 ... it's been interesting to say the least. Thank you for making things a little easier. Bless you. 🙂
Tony, thanks for this video! I am a new rver and really appreciate you teaching how to do this. Being a single lady, propane has always been the one thing that kinda scares me about Rv life. You explain this so I feel confident in changing out my tanks!
You propane line configuration may be slightly different but you should be able to adapt what is shown in this video to your camper. Hope this helps you out
I just bought a brand new mallard. I have never removed propane tanks. I was scared lol. So easy. How long do you think my propane will last living full time in it. Very little cooking using electric heaters once in a while oven. A year or more?
My green clear gauge is below the cover, which is confusing to me from the manufacture. I did take the cover off and found the gauge which is not seen without taking the cover off which is garbage! The gauge does show both of them green so I assume I have propane in each tank still??
@@HomeOwnerRepair maybe but it was between when u started the disassembly. Makes more sense to me that the regulator would sit on the bracket between the tanks. Thank u for the video.

This video was very helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome!
Don't the gas connection go on top of the tank clamp? It was on top before you took it off. Please let me know so I'm doing it right.

What is your process of turning on the tank? Do you open all the way? Do you open slowly? I’ve heard many different things
I typically open it slowly

Not sure, probably a few months.
Thanks a bunch God bless
Thanks for checking out the video.
Ez Pz -- thanks for the quick tip!
Thank you for watching our video that shows you how to change the propane tanks on an RV
I’m assuming you turn both of them back on ?
If it has a propane tank selector valve you can just turn one on.
How much do I turn it on?? Like two rotations? Or is one fine
I turn it on all the way.
Don't forget to turn it back on at the end of the video
Yes, I did do this to get the water heater going again.
My green clear gauge is below the cover, which is confusing to me from the manufacture. I did take the cover off and found the gauge which is not seen without taking the cover off which is garbage! The gauge does show both of them green so I assume I have propane in each tank still??
If the indicators are green then you should have propane in the tank that is selected.
Does that angle with the regulator mounted to it go in between the Channel and the wing nut?
Mine was under it from the factory

Thank you!
Hope this helped you out Mike. Thanks for watching!
My cover to the propane doesn't easily come off or go back on. What am I doing wrong?
It might be catching at the bottom on something. I would take a closer look at it to see what may be giving you a hard tie with it.
Thanks i forgot the order of brakcet, regulator, and Wingnut lol
Glad this video helped you to get the propane tank assembly back together on your camper.
Where are they connected to the Rv permanently?
These tanks are removable.
My regulator has a clear window on it, does that tell me if tank is empty?
It should. There might be a green indicator in that clear part that should turn to red if the propane runs out.
Be sure to reassemble differently the disassembly.

Why wait until both tanks are empty? That's why you have two tanks. One primary & one secondary. Swap over while you get the empty refilled.

You didn't check for leaks using the soap and water bubble test

What is this soap and water test?
