Maybe something similar happened to Corax. He spent so much time there his body changed on its own.

He somehow realized the Emperor's use of the Warp in the creation of the Primarchs, managed to break whatever locks were in place to supress their innate powers, and used the mutant Raven Guard as inspiration in remaining steadfast and loyal while being unbelievably powerful by essentially delimiting horrifying Warp power. I got one of the captains hooked on the stories on our delivery from Alaska to San Francisco and he’s been asking about what they look like etc... I gave him a contingent of Red Corsairs: 2 troops and one of each other detachments and a MK1 (Rouge trader) and newer transport/predator. He’s addicted as hell now. Before that he’d rails on me for having toys. Now he understands... “DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR!!” And when I make the Aquila lol
I work on sailboats, power boats, and protectors. 90% cleaning, 9% fixing, refitting, rigging and preventative maintenance and 1% sailing or being the waiter on some of the boats. Literally I do it all but sail races. If I’m on a boat do mostly deliveries to or from the regattas or the client’s vacation spot and they have their own full time staff. Basically clean and make sure it starts and flora A-Z and sometimes 123
Corax has always been one of my favourite Primarchs, so much so that I based my Astartes chapter, The Red Raptors on the Raven Guard, utilizing their doctrines too. So to now hear of what The Raven Lord has been doing after the Horus Heresy was a pleasant surprise. He's obviously been tainted by the warp in some way with his shadow form that even the much maligned Word Bearers couldn't touch. Great reading Border Prince. Bravo indeed
Ah a fellow Corax and Vulkan enjoyer. They're my 2 favourite Primarchs but they're 2 completely different personalities with 2 completely different fighting styles lol
Wait..So now Corax sports Black wings, that's Awesome. I want to see Corax and Russ together. I can imagine Russ fully transforming into a Wolf as Corax turns into a Raven so you have Fenri with Hungin and Mungin
If Russ is still alive in the Eye, then like Corax, Lorgar, etc, then he is likely Wolfen in form, not mind. Anyways Russ has already met himself of the future. The Dark Wolf in the "other realm". This is probably the best example of what the Primarchs look like in "Warp Form". This would include Girlyman if was in the Eye. Every Primarch has a "Warp Form". Technically none of them really "rose to Demonhood" but instead took on their Warp Form.
Nathaniel Schultz you mean from loyalists right? Because based on how Mortarion reacted to having his real name spoken by Kaldor Draigo, I'd bet anything he is a real demon now. Same for his fallen brothers.
@Anzu Wyliei Lorgar is not dedicated to any individual chaos god. Primarchs like Mortarion, Magnus (though this one is interesting because Magnus has his own schemes that may differ from his patron, he shows independence), Fulgrim, and Angron. Fulgrim, Mortarion, and Angron show less independence and a much more demonic form. Lorgar, however never dedicated himself to any one being so he's an interesting case among the fallen primarchs, along side the other undedicated ones like the Night Haunter and Purturabo. Since all the Primarchs are born of the Warp and Chaos aspects. Girlyman has access to warp power, whatever they may be.
I love this story it made me love Corax and want a return and rematch for these 2 while he probably won't be able to kil Lorgar I'd for him to turn Erebus inside out
I want a book that explains that the Lion was actually one of the most potent psykers of the Primarchs but learned to hide it as a child on Caliban. Now in nap time he's actually roaming the Warp in search of his brothers, trying to get the band back together. Imagine the stories of Jagatai or Corvus or even Russ with the inescapable feeling....that they are being hunted.
I love the more abstracted battles like in this, starting around 32:00 (In warpspace). There are some good ones in ravenor (in psychic mindspace) and in mechanicus books, like the trilogy with Kotov (in computer/mindlinknspace). Some authors are fantastic with it, and it's an opportunity to describe things in totally different ways.
I knew about this story from the fight bit but man, he'd give the night haunter a fright with that changing ability. I knew about the raven flock but damn, that is some scary stuff
For some reason Lorgar as a Primarch and Kharne and Ahriman as marines are the most memorable characters for me in warhammer... maybe good writing accounts for this...gaunts ghosts are a deep read too.
@Anzu Wyliei if I remember correctly they were so disgusted and traumatized what they saw and unwittingly created that when they left the warp they become Tau supremacists, still believing in the greater good but killing anything that wasn't a Tau.
