Implantable cardiac monitor: ICM procedure in Heart Hospital

Heart Hospital is part of Tampere University Hospital. We treat all kind of cardiac conditions. Approximately 95 % of our pacemaker and rhythm monitor patients are included in remote monitoring. Annually, we perform around 300 ICM procedures. Half of these procedures involve implanting the monitor and the other half removing it.
This video is a short introduction to ICM procedure in Heart Hospital. Two nurses attend every ICM procedure: ICM nurse and assisting nurse.
