  • The Porsche Panamera 4 Platinum is the featured spec in this review and is priced at $139,870 Canadian dollars ($110,500 USD). On paper, the performance numbers for the Panamera 4 seem to be low considering the hefty price tag, but rest assured, it is a fantastic daily driver and delivers the handling that you would expect from a Porsche while also being practical.

I have a Panamera and it's honestly one of the best cars out there. Porsche's driving dynamics are unmatched. Unpopular opinion, but looks-wise, I actually prefer the Panamera to the 911. When spec'd right, the Panamera has a beauty, heft, and presence that the 911 just doesn't have. it's an absolute baddie. Thanks for the great content! Really enjoyed your little man taking part ha!

      What utter nonsense.
Problem is you have picked a none true Porsche.
How you can put panamera and the 911 in the same statement is beyond me. The 911 is far superior. It’s quicker, ore solid and is a true sports car for the road.

They are brilliant bits of kit, I have a 2017 4-E hybrid at the moment, one of the best cars I've ever owned, we have a 4 week old baby and 3 year old, it easily carries everything we need, and 2 prams in the boot. I thought it would fly under the radar being GT silver but it gets much more attention, and comments than I thought it would, very low and wide.

I bought my first Porsche recently and went for the panamera. The 911 is just too small and I want two decent back seats. I also love the rigidity and substantial feel of the panamera. This performance is easily good enough and it’s a car I can see myself keeping for many years

From what I’ve read, it will be around. They will be releasing a fully electric Panamera in 2026/27 and adding some changes to better differentiate if from the Taycan including a larger cabin. I’m looking forward to this. I want to go electric so bad, but I don’t care for the size of the Taycan…it’s too small and I just love my Panamera. This was the best news I could’ve found. Think I read that they’ll stop production on the current Panamera after 2024.

People can argue all they want, but the electrical grid itself in the United States (unsure about Canada) cannot handle the complete electrification of automobiles. The United States is already having power outages left right and center these days and power prices are spiking like mad.
ICE engines are not going anywhere for a long time, perhaps 25 years or more, whether anyone likes it or not. The ONLY way we go completely electric is an emergency 10-20 year multi-billion/trillion dollar revamp of our entire electric grid with hundreds of thousands of new workers trained to rebuild it, combined with the building of dozens of new nuclear reactors. It would be a colossal, nationwide effort and would have to cross political boundaries, which it currently does not.
Solar and wind aren't cutting it. This is fact. Argue away if you like, everyone loves this juicy bit about 'going electric' or 'going green' but if you like ICE engines you have a long time before they disappear.
That is fact, not political drivel. Just plain fact. The grid isn't ready, and to get it ready will be an undertaking that will reshape the country and take decades. You will know it when it happens. Great car, love the video. Cheers to all.

As the climate narrative crumbles, and the environmental costs/ maintenance costs/ sustainability of EVs becomes more apparent - manufacturers are walking away from electric. Look at Mercedes etc cancelling projects. Look at Hertz rentals: 100,000 Teslas - fired CEO, massive writeoffs in falling demand and exponential maintenance costs. EVs are a fad.
