I liked it overall.
Its daylight but so dull with lack of sunshine that you know something bad is going to happen.
Or maybe something good. Setting it up so you notice the sun come out signalling a redemption story.
Little things about the plot get to me. But I like short stories because they don't need to explain everything, some leave nuggets here and there. Some more for the imagination.
