Well I’ve never seen a snowtrekker tent set up like that. But it worked. There are a lot of videos on TH-cam with the snowtrekker tent lookup winter camping. They are really neat tents. Thanks for sharing this.

Its a pretty cool concept. I wish yall had some video content showing the layout with the gear on the inside.

    Hi Guys,
very nice setup you have here ! with tent, stove, remaining gear, food and water, what weight do you reach in your backpack please ?
I'm asking as usually Snowtrekker tent are for winter camping with all stuff in a pulk or toboggan, but here you have everything on your back, ouch :)

Wish the side poles had cotter pins to hold them into the roof brackets. 26 lbs all in with floor.

We’ve used this tent. A lot. And one night had to approach 60-70 mph winds makes 0 difference It all locks in solid

If you stretch a line between a frame it pull them together adding to the rigidity plus give you a line to dry things or hang a light

The guy doing this video is clueless. The orange a-frame connectors are specifically designed with attachment points to use a length of cordage that can be tied to each connector and secured to prevent the orange connectors from falling off when setting up

@@MichealBacon Right....the roof pole at lease has cordage to pull tight. The side poles tend to fall out, however.

Cool tent. Is there a benefit to not having a floor?

Weight. It comes with a floor if wanted. But we opt out and carry a small lightweight tarp for our sleep pads.

@@DIYHunter It's not about weight, that's simply a secondary plus. The reason they are designed (by SNOWTREKKER) without a floor due to the floor freezing up when using them for their intended purpose of winter travel. They ice up considerably during winter use making them extremely difficult to pack up small and compact. However, they are fantastic to use during any season.

"He" didn't design or build this tent, nor did he "have built" the orange a-frame connectors. All of that is a lie. Duane and his family did - aka - SNOWTREKKER. Then out the other side of your mouth you state that you "believe" he had it designed by Snowtrekker..pretending you don't really know. Don't be a douche. You know exactly where this tent was designed and built. "He" is simply selling a design that has barely a few incremental differences he asked to have manufactured. So instead of pretending to be smart, just be honest with people, it goes a long way especially in the business world. Btw, here's a few corrections to help prevent you from looking phonier than you are. It's called a ridge pole, not a "head rod." The elastic cord is shock cord, not "stretch ropes." The "holes" are grommets for the risers. And those orange "devices" are a-frame connectors.
