Well don't know when the Brooklyn DLC coming out or how much it's going to cost. My main concern is there going be snow and cold weather like The Division 1 had or not?? It would be nice to have weather like winter,spring,summer,and fall. I seen other Devs from other game do just like that have weather changes all throughout the whole game. Because of these changes it brought a new player base back into their games. Plus it brought back even veteran players back into the game.
They opened it up, so they could limit it again with seasonal characters and trash all the work the hardcore division fans put into the game when no one else wanted to touch it.
It's cheaper for them to wipe all progress and start over doing the bare minimum to change the story or whatever. Instead of releasing a new game or div3 they decided to milk d2.
As others have stated it’s not like there’s a line of people waiting to hop into a 5+ year-old game, nor are there swathes of people who have been wanting to play but never did because it’s too complex. This isn’t Destiny.
This is the Division 2 for people that clearly weren't into the Division 2 the last 5 years. Definitely the crowd Ubisoft should be tailoring content for, not the devoted players that stuck through this trashfire game patch after broken patch, unfixed bug after unfixed bug. Fragile armor bug still exists, excited for new players to put the game down after dealing with that hour after hour.

While I understand your point about "this is the Division 2 for people who weren't into it", you have to understand that new players need to be assisted in these long-term investment kinda games. Think about Destiny 2, another long-term game. It's incredibly unfriendly to new players. Anyone who hops into it now is met with a ~$200 paywall in order to catch up to the current players and tons of unexplained gear/weapons/story/items. It's been heavily criticized for being difficult and overwhelming for new players. I see this "One Endgame" as the devs trying to avoid the mistakes Destiny 2 made. Don't keep the "proper" endgame behind a DLC paywall. That's important. Bug fixes are important too, don't get me wrong, I agree that the slew of unpatched bugs and mistakes need to be corrected. When an armor kit doesn't remove my Broken Armor stack, it pisses me off. I want them to fix it. I also wanted them to remove the Lvl 30 endgame.

Good news everybody (and that includes you Rogue): If you already own all the Descent blueprints going into creating a hardcore character, when you hit lvl 31 you can purchase from Inaya access to all of your shared resources AND blueprints. So although I am not getting the talents from my named items that I craft (for example I crafted myself a Liquid Engineer backpack) I am getting the other benefits. Just happy I am not going to have to unlock all my blueprints again.
Opening this game up to more players is simply a test to help Massive determine if Div3 is worth it. If there isn't a huge influx of new players, you can expect Div3 to be canceled within the next 6 to 9 months.
Heartland was in production, and nearly ready for release and they canceled that. Don't count out the possibility of a Div3 cancelation. They are ONLY in this for the money.

As someone who is constantly observing and monitoring all aspects of this franchise, there is (and has been) indeed a steady flow of new people coming in to try the game, whether its from sales or various changes like this one. Of course vets only want new content additions, understandably, but hopefully the efforts to support old and new player over time leads to a healthier community overall! 👊

Just started a new character myself. Was debating if I should stop at level 29 and then boost to get the extra specialization points. I am definitely enjoying a new character every piece of loot feels like it matters again. Thanks for the video
The Division 2 has yet to be surpassed by any other game in the Looter Shooter Genre. At this point Ubi has perfected the exploration / combat / loot loop. It’s just too good. You want story/lore : you got it. Weapon / play style variety so you aren’t forced into a “ meta build”: check ! Pve content yup, PvP with extraction : hell yes! This game has no shortcomings and yet it stands as one of the most underrated games Ever.
@@grimhellraven1557 Delta errors, audio weapons were broken, AI is still broken and breaking animations and aimbotting the player across the control point with hip fire, no new interesting content, the new gear in last couple of years is absolute dog shit with no use at all, just stacks upon stacks, basically no combat variety, cant crouch, cant prone, AI can crouch and go prone (lol), yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Division 2 has so many problems and feels dated in so many aspects.
I have ZERO issues with them getting rid of world tiers, weapon score and even getting from level 1-40 in Washington, the major issue I have is to get the watch and continue on with the story you have to beat Keener, PERIOD, now it just Magically appears out of thin air, talk about ruining the lore and story progression. Bottom line if you want the watch then beat Keener and to beat Keener you have purchase and progress through WONY, you don't get to jump to Keener because you're level 40 now, tough $#!t if the new player doesn't like it, doing it the way it is now makes WONY Useless/worthless and monetarily very Stoopid on the Devs part, $15.00 is VERY reasonable for WONY and anyone should be thrilled to support the franchise with how much stuff is already free. Also by not requiring WONY they limit the rest of us to only playing in Washington and I'm sure it will dumb down the Brooklyn DLC since some players haven't set foot in New York since the first game (if they even played it), The Devs really need to stop bending over backwards for the new player.
I don't really care that much about the story hole with Keeners watch and not having WONY, but doesn't it mean that if there is 'one unified player base' now, with some of those people NOT having WONY... that Seasons now can't use WONY assets for anything? Doesn't that limit things?

C'mon man, your being over dramatic. Im also a current player and this just isn't that deep to Me. The game is going on 6 years with only one paid Dlc, say what you want but a lot of games aren't doing that. I don't know if the seasonal change will be fun, what I do know is I have 4 characters, my expertise is at close to 25, and the game is now boring and repetitive. I'm hoping the seasonal change will make me want to play more. All of my gear is still here and if I don't wanna play the season I can do the same missions and CPs, and decent that I'm doing now. I can't complain until they let me play it, and then if I don't like it I'll have something to say. Not telling anyone how to feel, but the community is over reacting imo
As is true for most products for sale, but especially true for content based entertainment products like AAA video games, a game that intends extend its viability needs new player. In order to remain relevant to the owner of the IP, game titles need to show that they can retain and grow the player base. Without growth, the Division franchise will cease to exist. This whole new update is a brilliant way to create a streamlined path to new player engagement, while at the same time offer relevant changes to the game that will keep the existing player base engaged. Without the player base growing, our legacy Division experience would be over.
RG- why not take time to highlight the bugs associated with this 'unified' end game? Namely that if you level in DC you don't have Projects open except for Descent, and the crafting bench bug where you can't upgrade to high end? It's not all sunshine and bunnies just yet. Or what about the consequences of some portion of the 'unified' player base that doesn't have WONY? Can Seasons use these assets or are they walled off? What about weekly projects, leagues, etc. that include WONY content?

yeah, I don't think I will ever come back to playing the seasons. It's the whole reason I don't play Diablo IV seasons. If I could use my main character and continue to level it, I might be more willing to play it.

I bought division 2 when it released, threw like 150 hours in it and left it.. I bought the expansion 5 days ago while it was on sale and I started playing with a new character... I'm already lvl 38 and the invasion just started... Can someone remind me how I do the project that asks to do invaded mission?
Welcome back! You can view your Projects by going into your map, and tabbing to the left at the top. I can't recall if the Weekly Invasion project is available as soon as you unlock Invasions, or if it only shows up once you reach Level 40

I have been doing a lot of leveling up of my hardcore agent that so I skip past the sketchy content until I am at least a few levels higher than the content. Wow, I stopped playing Div2 before WONY was released. There is TONS of new content, systems, maps to play. Just reached lvl 40 and was so confused about the missing world tiers. But now I understand - I will not miss doing the strongholds on repeat....
You can unlock the watch but you cannot unlock any skills, However, if you finish the manhunt missions, you will unlock two but you cannot use them, you will need to go to New York to unlock them.
I still see a bunch of people who cant play Division conplain about the game they want to be good at but they are not so they come here to be negative. This game was supposed to be over, years ago! Because it is so good the fans who play wanted it, the kept the game alive. Enjoy this gem. There is and will be nothing like this for a long time.

I just wish all the Content Creators would stop gaslighting Seasonal Characters I am not naming these individuals but you all know who they are I've been with this game from day one and I've never seen so many tantrums and discontent over seasonal characters. Some of these have been with the game from day one and all I've heard since the update dropped and the new Manhunt is the community is not happy with the Devs, the community has spoken and players are not happy. Some division content creators are yet again milking the hell out of the title update some in my opinion, to boost their ratings to clickbait the hell out of their channel and yet I haven't heard any players complaining. Also, another thing I want to address is some content creators and players who were complaining about the devs and the glitch on the exotics bench where players were exploiting the exotic tolling of their weapons and for me this would be an instant ban. Somebody said on Twitter (I refused to call it X) and they said somewhere along the lines of it isn't the player's fault if the devs have left a bug on weapons or gear. And I replied and said, who’s fault is it when you've ordered a BigMac it isn't McDonald's is it?

As a new player it’s great to play, but trying to work out the story makes no sense after the main campaign and warlords, there’s no story order because of the seasonal model

I just bought a preowned copy of the game but it is still asking me to pay for Warlords of New York. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something? The video states it is included with base game now.
Hey! If you bought a pre-owned version, then that won't get you access to the WONY expansion. Only the new "Base Game" version that was released last month (and I believe is digital-only) will come with WONY included. Otherwise you'll still need to buy it as a paid expansion. But- with One Endgame- you don't have to get it! It's all optional content now, and you can reach the Endgame without it.

I am a new player.I never played division before.I just beat roosevelt island and got level 30. I still have to beat the final mission. But I'm becoming obsessed with this looter shooter RPG. I'm glad that everything was streamlined.. I picked the tac .50cal specialized weapon. I guess I'll beat the final mission and then go to WONY. Get level 40, come back to DC. I don't know, I'm having fun with the challenge and this game though. I appreciate your videos and tux videos.

ok so my question is. i bought the game before this one end game change and i never bought the WoNY. i downloaded the game recently and started a new character so does this mean i cannot go to new york or do i need to be a certain level to go because when i went the the pilot it shows me i need to buy the DLC.
Hey! If you bought the game prior to this Season, then unfortunately you won't have access to New York, or the Expansion, without paying for it. It's still a paid/premium experience, but is also just included with that base game version now. However- it's all optional content after One Endgame, so you don't need it to reach Level 40 and play the Endgame 👍
Does anyone here know what “undiscovered mission” is required to hit tidal basin, as I’ve hit the capitol building and b4 that the plane crash island, my game had a glitch and after completing the capitol it says “must complete.. “Undiscovered mission” “Capitol building” Confused for 1. I loved the first Division but absolutely hated this one when it first released. I picked it back up this weekend and started leveling a new character and I'm loving it so far. Me and a couple buddies went to CDKeys and paid $25 for the ultimate edition and we're having a blast right now. We haven't made it to end game because we didn't want to use our character boost but the loot system, gunplay, being able to mod your abilities and weapons, general exploration, all of it has been awesome so far. I've read a lot of the comments and I think all the big name companies have gone to shit from greed... Ubisoft, Bungie, Blizzard, Activision, Bethesda... I've just learned to lower my expectations and buy their shit at steep discounts from G2A and CDKeys lol
So the boss that was a bitch to fight 1v1 is not no longer required for end game starting out.. I spent 4 hours beating the guy I'm sure people did it first try and such props to them. But the devs just said kiss my ass for your hard work and dedication for the past five years.
My reply is this SPACE MARINE 2 . Ubisoft screwed the fan base by giving the dlc we PAID for. Now they want seasonal character level 0. Ubi screwed up ghost recon now the division they should just sell the raid exotics nope September space marine 2.
When was the last time you looted a piece of gear that was meaningful for your character, let alone made you excited? Play anything but striker? The power increase has peaked to unsustainable levels and the gear game has flatlined. That's one of the reasons the devs are introducing seasons, second would be to get new players into endgame before the major reset with the next DLC.
@@blckandwhtknight Issue is, they hit a wall with what kind of gear they can even make, a good majority of new gear has been mediocre at best compared to the stuff we already have, so them doing seasonal characters is basically a cheap way to force players to play different. To top it off, you'll need to do that EVERY SEASON GOING FORWARD, why would anyone who spent hundreds of hours grinding out gear sets that are viable, perfecting them, testing out combos, etc - want to make a new character? The only real reason was because of appearance, extra chances for drops and extra storage. Season 2.0 wont even feel that fresh, all they're doing is forcing you to start over and play through the missions you've already done hundreds or thoughsands for times, this time with modifiers, thats not in any way exciting or fresh.
While leveling to 40, how noticeable was the unbalanced exp gain towards the later levels? Did you have to do a lot of grinding of open world events to supplement?
@EnragedPostman The Invaded content after Captiol Building got me to Level 35, and from there I did one Loop 10 Descent run, 3-4 Projects, and 2-3 side missions to get to 40
This speaks loudly to the developer's commitment to this game. The unification as you explain is long overdue. The Division 2 has suffered from the natural divide in player base. New players wanting to play with someone before level 40 and even then they are reminded how welcome they are as they are removed from Countdown for a low SHD number. This is a great way to bring both players together with new content, events, gear serving as the carrot. If there is a bonus that events difficulty scaling is more inclusive and a challenge to everyone then I support this. I would play a Division 3 but I don't like the trends of a game attempting to be all things to all possible players....the net companies are casting to gather $$$ is big and the experience becomes a forgettable 40 hour play through with a constant sucking sound on my wallet to buy additional stuff.

Kenly is available on a rotating basis, for one week at a time. It usually unlocks when a new Seasonal target arrives. So its next window should begin 2 weeks from today
People like to be outraged over being content with anything good/decent. I think this is a good change, especially with all the oldheads making dramatic reddit post about how they're a Division 1 alpha veteran and are now leaving the game and how Ubisoft has lost their trust forever.
I have a strong theory that with seasons 2.0, they said that it will bring modifiers with seasonal characters. I think they will try to make a survival 2.0 a reality.

So you still have to grind to lvl 40 to unlock the watch. I don't know that it's "more" streamlined. You either go through WONY or DC, one door is just as easy to walk through as the other one. Grind in NY or DC. It's the same not easier or streamlined at all. It is a great opportunity for people who don't own WONY. But, I still don't see how things are supposedly better. Did they say anything about having to follow the story once you are in DC as a new seasonal character at lvl 30? Or even now if I create a new character.
This game has been out 5 years. People who were interested already played. Other people know about it and have decided not to play because of what kind of game it is. Not because it wasn't streamlined.
I want to say it took me 4-6 hours, maybe? Invaded content got to me Level 35, and after that I did one Loop 10 Descent run, 3-4 Projects, and 2-3 Side Missions to get to 40
Somebody knows why my crafting station is not upgrading beyond purple? It tells me i can upgrade, and when i do it it only takes my money and resourses but it doesn't upgrade 😩😩 im lvl 40 / 98 so i dont think my lvl would be a problem

Nope, it shouldn't hinder your progression in any way! The Level 30 boost would require you to make a new character to use, it shouldn't be available once you pass 30 on any given character

@Boneslayer991 The only two open world maps in the game are DC (base game) and Lower Manhattan (WONY Expansion). They will be adding a third map early next year with a new DLC in Brooklyn
What happens to the PS achievement awards and the commendations for new players, do they just get them without ever going through the grinds to get commendations and gear scores????

It's the curse of all overinvested players. You always have players who define achievement and status from how much time they waste with the game. They will demand for content that only the deeply invested players who know and have all the optimized builds and gear can do. Not bashing on the helpful communities of older players that host group content directly though - they do make hard group content accessible to newbies. The issue is with the complex and unexplained end-game content driving away players who don't read around the subject, and the crushing grind systems (SHD/Expertise) intended for player retention. The problem Ubisoft has to solve with the Division franchise going forward is making an experience that attracts and maintains a new audience, not just a small dedicated playerbase good at grinding. As of this moment they don't have much to show for, so their new gameplay loop better be impressive right off the bat.
This is perfect. I really hope more people come back for this and the game gets new players too. Now, i know it's never going to happen but imagine if the devs magically implemented cross-play. That would be a dream come true so the whole community could be united.
I was playing right before this update, just came back too, now I have no desire to play. I liked being locked at 30 and progressing in the world tiers, and If I wanted to go to the next content I would've pay for it. Now I don't get a choice. Taking Choice away from people isnt a good thing.

If the Devs wanted a true one endgame then they need to also implement cross platform play 🤷🏼♂️ no reason in 2024 why pc, ps & xb players should not be able to play together on a online server based game like this.

I bought WONY 3 years ago on one of their large sales, because a friend told me that it's a good investment. He had just had members of his raid team help me out, and they realized that I had no idea what I was doing. He suggested that I buy warlords, play through the campaign, and tell him once I was done with that story. He guided me, albeit quickly, on how to make a proper build, while poking fun at the build I was running with since I had just finished warlords, and was picking up scrap off the floor to just be at the same level as the world. The feeling that I got when I was done with the game's story and had all of the content that was there is unparalleled. There has yet to be something like it. That is the feeling that I'm glad gets to be shared with the people who have been playing the game for years on the same DC map, with no new content. It's refreshing for them, and they finally get to be at the same level as other people who have been playing under the DLC for years.
Well don't know when the Brooklyn DLC coming out or how much it's going to cost. My main concern is there going be snow and cold weather like The Division 1 had or not?? It would be nice to have weather like winter,spring,summer,and fall. I seen other Devs from other game do just like that have weather changes all throughout the whole game. Because of these changes it brought a new player base back into their games. Plus it brought back even veteran players back into the game.
They opened it up, so they could limit it again with seasonal characters and trash all the work the hardcore division fans put into the game when no one else wanted to touch it.
It's cheaper for them to wipe all progress and start over doing the bare minimum to change the story or whatever.
Instead of releasing a new game or div3 they decided to milk d2.

While I understand your point about "this is the Division 2 for people who weren't into it", you have to understand that new players need to be assisted in these long-term investment kinda games. Think about Destiny 2, another long-term game. It's incredibly unfriendly to new players. Anyone who hops into it now is met with a ~$200 paywall in order to catch up to the current players and tons of unexplained gear/weapons/story/items. It's been heavily criticized for being difficult and overwhelming for new players. I see this "One Endgame" as the devs trying to avoid the mistakes Destiny 2 made. Don't keep the "proper" endgame behind a DLC paywall. That's important. Bug fixes are important too, don't get me wrong, I agree that the slew of unpatched bugs and mistakes need to be corrected. When an armor kit doesn't remove my Broken Armor stack, it pisses me off. I want them to fix it. I also wanted them to remove the Lvl 30 endgame.

I'm simply covering the game and providing information on the changes made to it, as I've always done. There's truly no ulterior motive.
Good news everybody (and that includes you Rogue): If you already own all the Descent blueprints going into creating a hardcore character, when you hit lvl 31 you can purchase from Inaya access to all of your shared resources AND blueprints. So although I am not getting the talents from my named items that I craft (for example I crafted myself a Liquid Engineer backpack) I am getting the other benefits. Just happy I am not going to have to unlock all my blueprints again.
Opening this game up to more players is simply a test to help Massive determine if Div3 is worth it. If there isn't a huge influx of new players, you can expect Div3 to be canceled within the next 6 to 9 months.

The Division 2 has yet to be surpassed by any other game in the Looter Shooter Genre. At this point Ubi has perfected the exploration / combat / loot loop. It’s just too good. You want story/lore : you got it. Weapon / play style variety so you aren’t forced into a “ meta build”: check ! Pve content yup, PvP with extraction : hell yes! This game has no shortcomings and yet it stands as one of the most underrated games Ever.

@@grimhellraven1557 Delta errors, audio weapons were broken, AI is still broken and breaking animations and aimbotting the player across the control point with hip fire, no new interesting content, the new gear in last couple of years is absolute dog shit with no use at all, just stacks upon stacks, basically no combat variety, cant crouch, cant prone, AI can crouch and go prone (lol), yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Division 2 has so many problems and feels dated in so many aspects.

I have ZERO issues with them getting rid of world tiers, weapon score and even getting from level 1-40 in Washington, the major issue I have is to get the watch and continue on with the story you have to beat Keener, PERIOD, now it just Magically appears out of thin air, talk about ruining the lore and story progression.
Bottom line if you want the watch then beat Keener and to beat Keener you have purchase and progress through WONY, you don't get to jump to Keener because you're level 40 now, tough $#!t if the new player doesn't like it, doing it the way it is now makes WONY Useless/worthless and monetarily very Stoopid on the Devs part, $15.00 is VERY reasonable for WONY and anyone should be thrilled to support the franchise with how much stuff is already free.
Also by not requiring WONY they limit the rest of us to only playing in Washington and I'm sure it will dumb down the Brooklyn DLC since some players haven't set foot in New York since the first game (if they even played it), The Devs really need to stop bending over backwards for the new player.
I don't really care that much about the story hole with Keeners watch and not having WONY, but doesn't it mean that if there is 'one unified player base' now, with some of those people NOT having WONY... that Seasons now can't use WONY assets for anything? Doesn't that limit things?

The game is going on 6 years with only one paid Dlc, say what you want but a lot of games aren't doing that. I don't know if the seasonal change will be fun, what I do know is I have 4 characters, my expertise is at close to 25, and the game is now boring and repetitive. I'm hoping the seasonal change will make me want to play more. All of my gear is still here and if I don't wanna play the season I can do the same missions and CPs, and decent that I'm doing now. As is true for most products for sale, but especially true for content based entertainment products like AAA video games, a game that intends extend its viability needs new player. In order to remain relevant to the owner of the IP, game titles need to show that they can retain and grow the player base. Without growth, the Division franchise will cease to exist. This whole new update is a brilliant way to create a streamlined path to new player engagement, while at the same time offer relevant changes to the game that will keep the existing player base engaged. Without the player base growing, our legacy Division experience would be over.
RG- why not take time to highlight the bugs associated with this 'unified' end game? Namely that if you level in DC you don't have Projects open except for Descent, and the crafting bench bug where you can't upgrade to high end?
It's not all sunshine and bunnies just yet.
Or what about the consequences of some portion of the 'unified' player base that doesn't have WONY? Can Seasons use these assets or are they walled off? What about weekly projects, leagues, etc. that include WONY content?

yeah, I don't think I will ever come back to playing the seasons. It's the whole reason I don't play Diablo IV seasons. If I could use my main character and continue to level it, I might be more willing to play it.

Welcome back! You can view your Projects by going into your map, and tabbing to the left at the top. I can't recall if the Weekly Invasion project is available as soon as you unlock Invasions, or if it only shows up once you reach Level 40

Hey Rogue, at what agent level will Recon caches start dropping for my agent after killing the Nemesis? I have been doing a lot of leveling up of my hardcore agent that so I skip past the sketchy content until I am at least a few levels higher than the content. Wow, I stopped playing Div2 before WONY was released. There is TONS of new content, systems, maps to play. Just reached lvl 40 and was so confused about the missing world tiers. But now I understand - I will not miss doing the strongholds on repeat....

You can unlock the watch but you cannot unlock any skills,
However, if you finish the manhunt missions, you will unlock two but you cannot use them, you will need to go to New York to unlock them.
I still see a bunch of people who cant play Division conplain about the game they want to be good at but they are not so they come here to be negative.

Sorry, I need to rant a little I apologise RG. Another useful video thank you, RG. I just wish all the Content Creators would stop gaslighting Seasonal Characters I am not naming these individuals but you all know who they are I've been with this game from day one and I've never seen so many tantrums and discontent over seasonal characters. Some of these have been with the game from day one and all I've heard since the update dropped and the new Manhunt is the community is not happy with the Devs, the community has spoken and players are not happy. Some division content creators are yet again milking the hell out of the title update some in my opinion, to boost their ratings to clickbait the hell out of their channel and yet I haven't heard any players complaining. Also, another thing I want to address is some content creators and players who were complaining about the devs and the glitch on the exotics bench where players were exploiting the exotic tolling of their weapons and for me this would be an instant ban. Somebody said on Twitter (I refused to call it X) and they said somewhere along the lines of it isn't the player's fault if the devs have left a bug on weapons or gear. And I replied and said, who’s fault is it when you've ordered a BigMac it isn't McDonald's is it?

How many hours did it take you to reach lvl 40?
I did it recently on my own path. Like 20 hours chilling but maybe if you know how to do it it can take 12 or 14.
You can boost your character to level 30 and leveling up to 40 could be 2-4 hours less than 1 hour if you have help from someone who is already 40
The xp I have been getting from 30 -40 has been terrible, even with a lvl 40 player.
Thing is i wanted to play campaign, side quest and dz chilling but yeah, of course i took the long way.

Hey! If you bought a pre-owned version, then that won't get you access to the WONY expansion. Only the new "Base Game" version that was released last month (and I believe is digital-only) will come with WONY included. Otherwise you'll still need to buy it as a paid expansion.
But- with One Endgame- you don't have to get it! It's all optional content now, and you can reach the Endgame without it.

I am a new player.I never played division before.I just beat roosevelt island and got level 30. I still have to beat the final mission. But I'm becoming obsessed with this looter shooter RPG. I'm glad that everything was streamlined.. I picked the tac .50cal specialized weapon. I guess I'll beat the final mission and then go to WONY. Get level 40, come back to DC. I don't know, I'm having fun with the challenge and this game though.

ok so my question is. i bought the game before this one end game change and i never bought the WoNY. i downloaded the game recently and started a new character so does this mean i cannot go to new york or do i need to be a certain level to go because when i went the the pilot it shows me i need to buy the DLC.
Hey! If you bought the game prior to this Season, then unfortunately you won't have access to New York, or the Expansion, without paying for it. It's still a paid/premium experience, but is also just included with that base game version now.
However- it's all optional content after One Endgame, so you don't need it to reach Level 40 and play the Endgame 👍

I loved the first Division but absolutely hated this one when it first released. I picked it back up this weekend and started leveling a new character and I'm loving it so far. Me and a couple buddies went to CDKeys and paid $25 for the ultimate edition and we're having a blast right now. We haven't made it to end game because we didn't want to use our character boost but the loot system, gunplay, being able to mod your abilities and weapons, general exploration, all of it has been awesome so far.
I've read a lot of the comments and I think all the big name companies have gone to shit from greed... Ubisoft, Bungie, Blizzard, Activision, Bethesda... I've just learned to lower my expectations and buy their shit at steep discounts from G2A and CDKeys lol

Its a trip that I am still playing 3 games that are from 2018. Red Dead 2, Div 2 and Fallout 76 (Don't yell at me on that last one:).
So the boss that was a bitch to fight 1v1 is not no longer required for end game starting out.. I spent 4 hours beating the guy I'm sure people did it first try and such props to them. But the devs just said kiss my ass for your hard work and dedication for the past five years.
My reply is this SPACE MARINE 2 . Ubisoft screwed the fan base by giving the dlc we PAID for. Now they want seasonal character level 0. Ubi screwed up ghost recon now the division they should just sell the raid exotics nope September space marine 2.

When was the last time you looted a piece of gear that was meaningful for your character, let alone made you excited? Play anything but striker? The power increase has peaked to unsustainable levels and the gear game has flatlined. That's one of the reasons the devs are introducing seasons, second would be to get new players into endgame before the major reset with the next DLC.
@@blckandwhtknight Issue is, they hit a wall with what kind of gear they can even make, a good majority of new gear has been mediocre at best compared to the stuff we already have, so them doing seasonal characters is basically a cheap way to force players to play different.
To top it off, you'll need to do that EVERY SEASON GOING FORWARD, why would anyone who spent hundreds of hours grinding out gear sets that are viable, perfecting them, testing out combos, etc - want to make a new character? The only real reason was because of appearance, extra chances for drops and extra storage.
Season 2.0 wont even feel that fresh, all they're doing is forcing you to start over and play through the missions you've already done hundreds or thoughsands for times, this time with modifiers, thats not in any way exciting or fresh.
While leveling to 40, how noticeable was the unbalanced exp gain towards the later levels? Did you have to do a lot of grinding of open world events to supplement?
Honestly I just ran the invaded missions over and over. 2 runs per level , 7-8 minutes per mission.
@EnragedPostman The Invaded content after Captiol Building got me to Level 35, and from there I did one Loop 10 Descent run, 3-4 Projects, and 2-3 side missions to get to 40
This speaks loudly to the developer's commitment to this game. The unification as you explain is long overdue. The Division 2 has suffered from the natural divide in player base. New players wanting to play with someone before level 40 and even then they are reminded how welcome they are as they are removed from Countdown for a low SHD number. This is a great way to bring both players together with new content, events, gear serving as the carrot. If there is a bonus that events difficulty scaling is more inclusive and a challenge to everyone then I support this. I would play a Division 3 but I don't like the trends of a game attempting to be all things to all possible players....the net companies are casting to gather $$$ is big and the experience becomes a forgettable 40 hour play through with a constant sucking sound on my wallet to buy additional stuff.
Dont get it why people with really low SHD lvl want to play Countdown on Heroic, just play it on lower difficulty.

I love the game, i just home Brooklyn DLC would be the start of having different mission locations since it has given it's way to new players. Do hope this is the start.

Kenly is available on a rotating basis, for one week at a time. It usually unlocks when a new Seasonal target arrives. So its next window should begin 2 weeks from today
With all the Seasons 2.0 discussion, this has been completely overshadowed. Good job on bringing it to the forefront, where it should be.
People like to be outraged over being content with anything good/decent. I think this is a good change, especially with all the oldheads making dramatic reddit post about how they're a Division 1 alpha veteran and are now leaving the game and how Ubisoft has lost their trust forever.
I have a strong theory that with seasons 2.0, they said that it will bring modifiers with seasonal characters. I think they will try to make a survival 2.0 a reality.

So you still have to grind to lvl 40 to unlock the watch. I don't know that it's "more" streamlined. You either go through WONY or DC, one door is just as easy to walk through as the other one. Grind in NY or DC. It's the same not easier or streamlined at all. It is a great opportunity for people who don't own WONY. But, I still don't see how things are supposedly better. Did they say anything about having to follow the story once you are in DC as a new seasonal character at lvl 30? Or even now if I create a new character.
I don't understand why they couldn't just merge the base game in with NY? just make the player base buy NY and you get the whole game...
This game has been out 5 years. People who were interested already played. Other people know about it and have decided not to play because of what kind of game it is. Not because it wasn't streamlined.
Just curious how long is the solo level 30-40 grind take in DC? Need some materials and hated the 3-4 hour New York solo grind.
I want to say it took me 4-6 hours, maybe? Invaded content got to me Level 35, and after that I did one Loop 10 Descent run, 3-4 Projects, and 2-3 Side Missions to get to 40

Somebody knows why my crafting station is not upgrading beyond purple? It tells me i can upgrade, and when i do it it only takes my money and resourses but it doesn't upgrade 😩😩 im lvl 40 / 98 so i dont think my lvl would be a problem

I was looking at how to upgrade the crafting bench and it said you have to finish some projects to unlock it.
Help if anyone can answer , I'm new to the game and I'm at level 44 shd already beaten dc end game mission, will my shd level reset if I go to new York ? , it also says to boost to level to 30 but I'm already pass that.
Nope, it shouldn't hinder your progression in any way! The Level 30 boost would require you to make a new character to use, it shouldn't be available once you pass 30 on any given character

No they haven't added more or less to the map.
If you don't have the warlords expansion, you do not have access to the NY map. If you have warlords, you should have everything.
@Boneslayer991 The only two open world maps in the game are DC (base game) and Lower Manhattan (WONY Expansion). They will be adding a third map early next year with a new DLC in Brooklyn

The Division 2 is not free. There is a free trial you can experience, but it's only up to a certain level

It's the curse of all overinvested players. You always have players who define achievement and status from how much time they waste with the game. They will demand for content that only the deeply invested players who know and have all the optimized builds and gear can do.
Not bashing on the helpful communities of older players that host group content directly though - they do make hard group content accessible to newbies. The issue is with the complex and unexplained end-game content driving away players who don't read around the subject, and the crushing grind systems (SHD/Expertise) intended for player retention.
The problem Ubisoft has to solve with the Division franchise going forward is making an experience that attracts and maintains a new audience, not just a small dedicated playerbase good at grinding. As of this moment they don't have much to show for, so their new gameplay loop better be impressive right off the bat.

This is perfect. I really hope more people come back for this and the game gets new players too. Now, i know it's never going to happen but imagine if the devs magically implemented cross-play. That would be a dream come true so the whole community could be united.
I was playing right before this update, just came back too, now I have no desire to play. I liked being locked at 30 and progressing in the world tiers, and If I wanted to go to the next content I would've pay for it. Now I don't get a choice. Taking Choice away from people isnt a good thing.
So you don't have to "earm" your watch? (And no, getting your character to level 40 is not earning your watch. This is for people who just want to play and don't care about the story.
He is a simp for Ubisoft. This is his moneymaker so he is not going to trash the game while treating Day one players like they’re stupid and don’t see what’s really going on. I truly believe us Veteran day one players are going to stick it to Ubisoft after season one and have a mass exodus from this trash game!!!!! I know of at least 4 full clans that are done after season 1.

Almost bought the level 40 to NY but I'm on level 39 .
If the Devs wanted a true one endgame then they need to also implement cross platform play 🤷🏼♂️ no reason in 2024 why pc, ps & xb players should not be able to play together on a online server based game like this.

This is a desperation money grab … the last two quarterly earnings fell short of projected levels raising a few investor eyebrows and they know that they will likely not meet expectations with their new Star Wars and Assassins Creed games … so they are trying to find ways to generate some additional revenue while not actually investing additional human or money resources into the development of a five year old game at the end of its life cycle … I have no hope for a worthwhile D3

Nice! Great move by the devs. The game as a whole is a load easier than at initial release. Back then, once you hit About lvl 19, the difficulty got to be what might “challenging these days. Glad they consolidated stuff. Thx for the heads up!

I bought WONY 3 years ago on one of their large sales, because a friend told me that it's a good investment. He had just had members of his raid team help me out, and they realized that I had no idea what I was doing. He suggested that I buy warlords, play through the campaign, and tell him once I was done with that story. He guided me, albeit quickly, on how to make a proper build, while poking fun at the build I was running with since I had just finished warlords, and was picking up scrap off the floor to just be at the same level as the world.
The feeling that I got when I was done with the game's story and had all of the content that was there is unparalleled. There has yet to be something like it. That is the feeling that I'm glad gets to be shared with the people who have been playing the game for years on the same DC map, with no new content. It's refreshing for them, and they finally get to be at the same level as other people who have been playing under the DLC for years.
