I've been a RM fan since 2000s. Raul, Guti, Casillas, Ronaldo, and not even Ramos's leave broke my heart the way Alonso's decision to leave us for Bayern did. I LOVED that guy and just his presence on the pitch was a joy. This is the first time I'm truly happy for a club beside RM getting a trophy. What a magical story. Congrats to Leverkuzen, their fans and Alonso. Hopefully you get a treble and your season becomes even more magical than what it already is.

I'm a Porto fan and I remember playing Leverkusen last year in the UCL just a few weeks after Alonso took over and although they weren't the world beaters they are now, in just a few games you could already see this guy is special and immediately lifted them from the relegation zone and took them to the Europa spots. He's a class manager and their recruitment last summer was spotless. Great to finally see a team beat Bayern and make the league more interesting.

I'm a Porto fan and I remember playing Leverkusen last year in the UCL just a few weeks after Alonso took over and although they weren't the world beaters they are now, in just a few games you could already see this guy is special and immediately lifted them from the relegation zone and took them to the Europa spots. He's a class manager and their recruitment last summer was spotless. Great to finally see a team beat Bayern and make the league more interesting.
