I'm 17 and have just applied for their flight training academy. Wish me luck everyone! One hopes to fly the A380 before their eventual retirement.

You can apply at 17. How do I do this?
It costs a ton of money to do the academy and it's not 100 percent confirmed to get a job with Emirates after, but if you have the money, go for it.
Btw EFTA only offers a frozen ATPL. How can you apply to any airline before unfreezing your atpl by 1500 flight hours??

It is a shame BIGJET is being prohibited from showing all airliners. Saw a rare A340 zoom across the screen briefly. Would have been great to watch it and have discussion. Its Dubai!! Emirates is going to receive the vast majority of the coverage. Give them all the love, but let BigJet TV be BigJet TV
Agreed, was looking forward to seeing some of the rare airlines/types that we don’t really see anywhere else. Also disappointing that the stream was cut to just 90 mins from the 4hrs that we were told
There was an old A300 operated by Iran Airtour as well that departed but they weren’t able too film it.
When Emirates have arranged this to happen, which we thought was impossible, the conditions they set out were worth it to get this coverage. Agree there were other things we would love to have seen.
I like Emirates a lot and the shows were brilliant. It just would have been nice too have seen some other airlines when they went airside at the airport.

So what we have here is one big recruitment informercial for Emirates....I totally support it!!! I just came back from Dubai having flown Emirates nonstop from Orlando and it was fantastic...I have been do Dubai multiple times and each time it gets better and better. If I was in my 20"s there is no doubt I would move to Dubai and work for Emirates. My reasons for moving to Dubai??
Its a clean ultra modern city also rich in history.
Tons of things to do there.
The citizens, the hotel staff, store staff and restaraunt staff are always over the top friendly.
Great food.
No homeless people begging on every corner.
and most importantly YOU CAN GO OUT IN A PUBLIC AREA, LARGE OUTDOOR AND INDOOR EVENTS AND DINE OUT AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING SHOT BY A MASS SHOOTER.
I cant say enough good things about Dubai. I have travelled the worlds largest cities multiple times and Dubai is my number 1 go to destination all the way!! By the way make sure to check out the Emirates company store open to the public at their world headquarters, its amazing..

Flying to Dubai next week on a380 so excited! Never saw one in the flesh till last week at Heathrow a BA one. They are huge!!

Thank you very much for this video and videochannel. I have been out of the recruitment group since 9 due to diabetes type 1. However nothing can hold back my true passion for aviation and international business and lifestyle and at least I have travelled a lot as a passenger. Two flights have been with Emirates A380 returntrip Bangkok-Hong kong. A truly amazing and silent experience with a feeling of being onboard a cruisingvessel and fantastic service.

I flew to Hong Kong in 1984 on a British Caledonian DC10 from Gatwick we stopped at Dubai on the way out and return

yrs ago we stop there but the plane engine blew on take off not emirates but the airport delt with us brill 40 min all in hotels over night 3 engine job itwas a trystar the tail enging blew no problem 2 left

You’re not paying attention.
Sorry but I was very disappointed with this show. Constantly talking about the same pilot recruitment over and over, very little actual plane action, mostly just looking at parked planes or ones being towed. Not even allowed to see some landings because they weren't Emirates. In the build up we were told there would be 4 hours of airfield footage, it was an hour and a half. I don't watch BJTv for corporate recruitment videos, hopefully there won't be anymore like this.
We were invited by Emirates specifcally for their pilot recruitment drive. Yes it was originally meant to be 4 hours but it is always subject to change. It was a privilege to be invited, it was a privilege to be able to film live at DXB, something that has never been done before. Security is extremely tight, we were permitted to film Emirates aircraft only. Without pilots we have nothing to watch, to be able to showcase a wonderful airline and a wonderful facility for any pilot or anyone wishing to become a pilot to consider a career with Emirates is not a bad thing at all. You didn't enjoy it, I'm sorry for that but there are many others who did.
If it wasn't so expensive to become a pilot maybe there wouldn't be a shortage 🤷♀️ who has a spare 100 grand
