    That's my dream bike! But I don't know if I could get rid of the stock pipes. Those 3 pipes are just too cool.

      I know what you mean, I ride with the standard pipes on the road and single on the track.

      some people take it to a shop and just have a smaller resonator or pipe welded into place vs the cat that way you get the sound without losing the look.

    Personally I like the factory pipes and sound. Your choice sounds raw. Very aggressive!

    I’m so getting one of these but not an RC version. Is there any difference with an RC version over a red/silver standard version other than the sponsorship graphics/paint job?

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes some other bits different suspension etc. I doubt you could tell the difference, the 800 is a great engine.

    • @Subi_doo
      @Subi_doo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RossPerry Productions so basically aside from the graphics, unless this is a track bike, the RC is not the way to go for the road? I know race suspension doesn’t like the bad city roads and often tend to blow seals

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats right, I would say if you are using it predominantly on the road, or around town then one of the base models would still be great, you still have TC, different ECU settings, and quickshifter. From what I have experienced the MV shops customer service is excellent they may let you try one of each out to compare yourself.

    • @Subi_doo
      @Subi_doo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RossPerry Productions does this only get a slipper clutch on both RC and base models? Both models have clutchless up shifting only or do they now include clutchless down shifting? A lot of the new bike from Japan are now both quick clutchless up and down shifting at he same price point as the MV. My main reason for the MV is the 800 triple engine and the weight of a 600cc. I’d like alittle more a 6 has to bring but don’t want a 1000cc because of my riding choices and places.

    • @Subi_doo
      @Subi_doo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RossPerry Productions personally, not sure where your filming from, but here in the USA, Japanese bikes are easier to get parts for and don’t cost an arm and a leg to run.... European bikes are 2x as expensive to run and maintain and wait time for parts is lengthy. Just gotta hope you get a good one right off the showroom floor. I think I’m looking at the one with the up and down quickshifter.... but I still havent ruled out a 675 f3. 2010 zx6r has 114.94 hp as dyno’d, so the power has to be better (atleast 130+hp) to make it worth while.

    Could you do a comprehensive review of this enigmatic piece of engineering. What needs to change, if anything, and what you love about it. I just watched an F3 800 vid, but it was in Italian. His bike had after market mirrors on the same holdings as the factory ones. They weren't vibrating. I always thought that could be done, but for years everybody said a whopping ZERO about it, just ENDLESS COMPLAINTS, and Zero solutions. How's the throttle response now? Should be perfect by now since 2012. Talk about heat. Is it as bad as some or most Ducati's? Cheers.

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi There Alex, I will try and get around to making many more videos on the MV, I have had it a little over a year. I Love the bike, that said it hasn't been without fault. The mirrors are pretty much useless, there is a very high level of engine heat that rises between your legs which isn't pleasant especially in the Sydney heat. Throttle response is phenomenal even though it is fly by wire and the ECU options offer a noticeable difference. I have ridden the bike on and off the track and have covered about 4000km in total and I cant help but enjoy the lean angles and power this bike offers.

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there I will be making lots more videos, Its a great bike to ride, plenty of power and great on the track very light in the corners, however its not nice to be caught In heavy traffic as there is a lot of heat coming off the engine and a heavy clutch, lead you to achy fingers and a hot crutch. The quickshift (up only) and traction control perform very well on the road and track, and the brembo brakes are awesome. I had to have the fly by wire throttle upgraded (call back) as this was an inherent problem, which now seems to be great. I changed the tyres out for Supercorsa's which suit the bike perfectly!
      Thanks for watching please subscribe and give me the thumbs up :)

      RossPerry Productions I’ve been told that these clutches engage harsh (either all on or all off, no feathering in) and are not smooth like your typical sport bike for the road. Have been told the clutch is purely designed for race use and what makes the MV so unique compared to most bikes is it’s a full race bike, street legal, with actual race components. But I’m pretty sure if the clutch is to heavy, a lighter spring could be substituted but may affect the functionality of the slipper though

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't say that at all, I ride mine most days through the city (Sydney) and on the track. The clutch is heavy but no worse than other track prepared bikes. I have had zx6r's, zx10, rsv4, Ducati 999 and some others I wont mention :) if someone is used to a cruiser or enduro then yes it would be harsh, it really sounds like you need to go for a test ride and make your own opinion.
