How to paint your shutters - DIY Shutters

Painting our DIY Shutter kits is super easy. We recommend using your standard enamel spray paint found at any home improvement store (We never recommend the very cheapest paint). Here we are using a Rustoleum 2x.
We recommend painting your DIY Shutter Fully assembled.
The key to any aerosol painting project is to keep the nozzle around 6-8" from your shutter and to do several light even coats. DON'T TRY AND PAINT THE WHOLE SHUTTER IN ONE PASS. If you do get a little aggressive and get drips don't try and wipe them off, this will make a bigger mess. Let them dry and sand them with 300grit sand paper and then repaint.
Wait 20-30 minutes between coats.
ALWAYS PAINT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. WE RECOMMEND A FACE MASK AND SAFTEY GLASSES.
