  • Went out on my reel yaks 9.5 feet modular kayak to do some bass fishing on the california delta and it was fun! My buddy Omar joined me as we targeted the high outgoing tide bite window to see if these fish were chewing. We fished for about 4 hours before calling it a day and heading home before the triple digit heat started to beat down on us. It’s time to throw the chatterbait around grass and weeds then hold on!
    Thanks for tuning in and be on the lookout for the next fishing session!

      if you haven't realized by now, most people aren't gonna tell you where they launched from or fished.... don't know why, I guess it's that sacred "don't tell where you were" thing. oh well, you just gotta learn the delta and try and take note of the surroundings. they might tell you where they launched from, maybe not. But that's as much as you'll get from them. I never had a problem telling anyone where I fish and where I CAUGHT. but that's just me.

      I launched out of new hope marina next to wimpy up in the north delta. Good place to launch, not too busy like some of the other bigger marinas.

    Nice video. I have the same kayak. I've had it for about 2 months. I love it. I never had a kayak until I bought the modular kayak. I'm pushing 70, so a pedal kayak was just right for me. The modular kayak is so easy to handle, and store. I also live in California. I just went up to Silver Lake, near Kirkwood. There were a few people fishing, but no one was having any luck.

      It’s my first time owning a modular kayak and it works pretty good so far! It gets the job done for what it’s worth so no complaints.

      @@KennyisBusyFishinghave you ever try on rough water? I want to know how this modular kayak works.

    • @KennyisBusyFishing
      @KennyisBusyFishing  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kimourchi7382 yes I have used my modular kayak in 2-3 feet roller waves with winds up to 20mph(30MPH gusts). I do not recommend taking this kayak out in those conditions due to its smaller size. Optimal conditions to use this kayak safely is 1-15 mph wind with 10-20 mph gusts. Any higher wind and gust than that and you’re putting yourself at risk to capsize.

      When I’m onto to the fish and I start to focus, I forget to talk sometimes haha. But believe me I got a lot of love for the delta and that is why I fish this place 99% of the time.

    You should put a electric motor onto your kayak

    • @KennyisBusyFishing
      @KennyisBusyFishing  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was thinking about it but since it’s on the smaller side for a kayak I decided not to haha. Plus the back area I put my yak attack crate there where a trolling board motor is supposed to be there if I wanted to add it on.

      If you have storage space and the vehicle for a bigger kayak then get one!

    I just got this kayak today…I have 2 questions. How do I get the rudder to lock in the down position? It just springs back up after I pull the red ball. And What is the little screw that came with the Allen key for? It’s a tine screw with no head on it..just a cylinder shape.

    • @KennyisBusyFishing
      @KennyisBusyFishing  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Once you pull the string for the rudder, pull it tight and lift it back up until it cinches in between the crack where the rudder strings comes through. You can probably get creative and make something to lock it into place. The screw I don’t use it and haven’t found anything that requires me to put it into use.

      @@KennyisBusyFishing ok cool and thanks for the reply I just didn’t wanna go on the water this weekend and start sinking and then realize that it’s because the instructions were horrible and i couldn’t figure out where that screw went 🤣
